    Nice video. As a Michigan boater, I have more or less taken the great loop off my to do list. From New York's 1000 Islands to Duluth, Sault Ste Marie to Chicago, and all the connecting waterways, there's enough cruising opportunity here to last the rest of my lifetime. Loopers achieve a great accomplishment but miss so much in the quest of that goal.

      So much to see in so little time! We will achieve our goal of the loop and plan to spend more time in the North Channel, Lake Superior and Michigan. Such beautiful cruising grounds.

      30 yrs boating in detrit river area. True however for us it will be a great adventure seeing the great USA by water. Even the industrial rivers. Wish it was easier to go north on the rivers. Would go-to TN and back to thousand islands every year. Perfect.

    Glad you got to see some of the Great Lakes. I hope you got to spend time near Drummond Island, Las Cheneaux islands when you crossed into US. You missed one of the best parts, but I understand as it is a bit of a run to get there. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore between Shelter Bay and Grand Marais along south shore of Lake Superior. Nothing like it. I see few loopers taking this side trip but it is worth the time. We spent a month on Lake Superior this past summer and when we pulled the boat, there was not even a water scum line. There is nothing like Lake Superior waters. You should have tried to spend a night or two at Mackinac Island marina, it is a lovely marina. Maybe next time.

    How many miles to the gallon do you get on a boat of that size?

    • @ROMILoopers
      @ROMILoopers Місяць тому

      We burn about 1.5 gallons per hour travelling at 7.5 mph which works out to about 5 mpg. That is about what to expect for a trawler style boat.
