Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For those who complain she is to old or to ugly or not skinny enough is ridiculous. Are we really that vain? It’s refreshing to watch a drama like this. She’s an amazing actress. They made a cute adorable couple. Wish there were more kissing/intimate scenes.

Yeah. I am tired when reading comment of a drama, some shallow people comment like the actress not pretty or for other drama , the actor is not handsome etc! Can’t they just focus on the story and how well made are those dramas? I love cdrama because they have their own value and are not afraid to pair actor and actress who are not fit to the mainstream beauty standard! Bravo Cdrama!

I agree and was thinking there should have been more intimate scenes, but the reality of it is that there weren't any, because the powers that be who were involved in creating this drama, at the back of their minds did not want to offend anyone BECAUSE, she does not fit the norm of what viewers usual see. How sad! Additionally, would the male lead feel comfortable? Bet if she was one of the slim, gorgeous actresses it would be no problem. They were married, so why not show some serious romance as with the other dramas? Long way to go still.

People who complained about the actress is ridiculous. The story was written about her being a normal woman from the village and emperor fallen in love with her personality. What's the use of using a doll like actress and then everyone pretending she's not a beauty queen? We had been fed enough of beautiful woman pretending to be not hot and attractive with fake make up to fit a role that wasn't for them. From Wu Yen to Mu Lan, enough is enough.
I love that she "ugly-cries". Seen so many dramas with female leads who look perfectly pretty, maybe just frowning a little at most, with just a few tears running down their face; this one cries like a real person who's deeply worried and upset about her loved one being hurt.
Totally agree. She’s perfect for this role. By the way, I think he should have touched her, even her hand, when she was crying. They need more touching in this show (and kisses).

Este drama es muy bonito. Felicito a todos los actores porque su trabajo fue excelente. Li Hongyi como siempre me deja con gran sabor de boca con su actuacion y la actriz excelente. Un drama diferente y refrescante de los demas en cuestion de trama y personajes. Que bueno que la pude ver.
Karena adanya kritikan buruk dari berbagai penonton film ini jadi kontroversial padahal aku suka jalan ceritanya bagus tidak membosankan walaupun aktris wanitanya nggak cantik tapi dia karakternya nyenengin jenaka sehingga bikin suasana menjadi ceria... To those dissapointed with the lack of Romantic scenes here, I do suggest watching: "New Life Begins", my Fav CDrama so far. The FL is the Main Protagonist but the ML is Crucial to the Development of the Story. The ML (6th Young Lord) falls for the FL (Country girl) much longer than she does and he is more slim than her. He even defends her and doesn't care that much of what others may think of his feelings and attitudes towards her.
It even has a Happy Ending, beautiful Music & Sounds that accompany the scene besides of many humourous scenes.

Это облепиха сваренная с морковью!
На 2 пакета замороженной облепихи берётся 1 большая морковь и максимум 1 кг сахара и 1 стакан воды.
Облепиху моют, варят с водой, протирают через сито для удаления косточек, потом добавляют потёртую на тёрке или другим методом измельчённую морковь, добавляют сахар и варят до закипания. Я даю остыть и кипячу ещё через сутки, для этого использую эмалированную посуду.
Кажется всё! Это блюдо содержит каротин и другие витамины, необходимые зимой при недостатке света и солнца и для поддержания организма.
Можно есть со сметаной или чем - то другим молочным. Тогда будет ещё кальций для костей!

She’s 27. Unfortunately her hairdos in the show are horrible. Whoever chose them made a huge mistake because she really is cute and bubbly. I know she’s supposed to be about 18, but no one complained about Zhao LuSi playing a 15 year old in LLTG this year. This FL is only three years older than The actor playing the ML whose supposed to be 20. I think she does a good job-it’s the cut scenes that ruin this show. I really enjoyed it.
