  • SeniorTennisTV.com is a project dedicated to showcasing age group singles & doubles tennis matches.
Conceived by Larry Turville & Brent Abel, Turville-Abel Media, our intention is to build a searchable library of matches featuring some of the world's top senior players.
If you'd like to contribute match video to this project, please contact Brent at brent [at] seniortennistv.com.
Suggestions, comments, feedback, and questions are always welcome, and quite frankly needed, to help us bring you exactly what you're looking for in enjoying and learning from these top age group players.
Please let us know what's on your mind in the Comments area below.
    Many thanks ;-)
    Larry and Brent
    NOTES:
Many thanks to Phil Landauer for his 'color' commentary expertise throughout this match.
Phil and his awesome bride Myke are the Head Tennis professionals at the Tarpon Cove and Spanish Wells CCs in Naples Fl. If you're in the area and in need of a tune-up, you'll be in good hands with the Landauers ...

Special thanks to Mike Lammens of MyTennisTools.com for his help with this project. In addition to contributing a camera and a camera mount, Mike has been a valuable go to resource for his recommendations for A/V help - thanks Mike.

Marvelous channel ... I've been looking for senior tennis video for a long time, even contacted the USTA, but no reply, even after phone calls.

Thanks Mike, I’m hoping you can post some more videos of the top players in the USA who are in the 60 age group.

Hi quality tennis, it's nice to see topspin strokes instead of all slice like some senior tennis action. Looks very sticky (weather) there in Florida

nice tennis. Seemed like a few miss-calls, but mostly calling them good when they were out. Like the serve at 15.24. Called good and it was pretty definitely out. Good tennis, and fair.

Excellent match. Could not hear the commentary by Phil though the court sounds came through clear. Would have liked to have heard the commentary and got some background on the players as they are pretty good. But please keep these matches coming Brent. Thanks.

Happy not to have commentary during the action. While it may be informed I find it distracting and takes away from the suspense of a match. Actually, in this match, not wild about hearing the guy in greens loudness on every shot. If commentary is to be featured I'd suggest putting on two videos of the same thing. One with and one without. It costs nothing more. Thanks for putting this on.

Cool. By the way, what's the specifications of the equipment you used for this video. Cameras... etc , height of the position of the camera? Thanks

Interesting match between evenly matched players. Crabel kept playing to Ditmer's backhand, camping out in the corner and using his forehand to attack. This left Crabel open to a strong down the line backhand, but Ditmer rarely, if ever, tried it. This mystified me as Ditmer has excellent form on his topspin backhand (better than Crabel) and had many opportunities to blast some easy balls down the line. If nothing else, it would have kept Crabel honest, yet Ditmer always, it seemed, went for the safe soft crosscourt. This and a few loose errors cost him the match.

Guys it's 2016, not 1985. Get a camera with a better resolution and frame rate ie 1080p/60 and better.
