“That's a part of life. Everything is not always going to be sunshine. I felt like I did a lot of great things in my first year, made some plays, but last year, it was more up and down. Totally agree with Chuggsy. That said, I'm a Baylor fan so I'm biased. Really pulling for him.
He has so much potential, like I really think he can surprise people this year
@@TexansTVHe's got great instincts. His tackling will continue to improve. He was a heat-seeking missile on blitzes at Baylor. So much fun to watch and one of my all time favorite BU players. Needless to say, I was excited when we drafted him.
I think that wk1 injury last yr, as you said, impacted his performance the rest of the yr. Also, not having the 49er version of Jimmie Ward (granted he was battling injuries, too) impacted his play as well ... I've got more excuses but my thumbs are cramping ;)
I hope pitre improves. I got his jerseys when he first started and I got the new one too. I hope he can be a really solid safety for us and hold it down this year.
Jalen Pitre can produce well this year. He definitely fits a "strong safety" role better, but with this D he has to be able to play both to not give away play calls.
