This is one of your best videos - dunno why it's not on the play list! Helped me get up and running fast with good mana generation. Hope you will post more Botania stuff in the future.
Just wanted to say a huge thanks for all your videos. You have a very good format, not only explaining what to do but why and through that i learn so much more. I learn the thought process and the reason behind things. You do an amazing job at these, my goto place for good minecraft videos :) Thanks
so.....i love botania, i love Dr. Rage. UA-cam kinda knows this cause i do get recommendations from either botania or Dr. Rage. But somehow the algorithm is like if Dr. Rage makes a botania episode, you cant be intrested in that lash :( help me understand this lol also i am actually excited with this one :D no idea how you can do it with botania alone
My botania vids have a SUPER low CTR & AVD, which leads UA-cam to thinking the videos suck and then they send them to nobody lol... kinda a shame because it makes it really unfun to upload when it just bricks channel stats for putting out content.
@@RagePlaysGames its super unfair. i mean i personally love this series, but this is also very demotivating :'( for the first time in my life i finally understood how this stupid flower works and now i am thinking its super fun to use, i guess youtube doesnt really care :/ people kinda ruined how the algorithm works i guess.
Hitting the eight foods with just vanilla and Botania itself isn't too bad. You can get steak, pork chops, mutton and even rabbit meat from fairly simple and compact breeder pens - the rabbit is the one that stands out as the most trouble. You can get cod from a guardian farm. Melons, potatoes, and carrots and you're already at eight there. I'm pretty sure that, say, potatoes and baked potatoes count as different foods, as well. Sweet berries, bread, apples, beetroot, even dried kelp - there are plenty of foods to choose from just from what can be automated with vanilla redstone and a crafty crate.
So I remember watching Direwolf20 automating the Gourmaryllis - if I remember his video correctly, it isn't so much "variety gives a bonus multiplier" but rather "the same food over and over gives a penalty". And more notably, said penalty is calculated as, "check the food I'm currently eating against the last five I've eaten before this - if there's any matches, count how many matches and multiply the base penalty by that count." In other words, the max effectiveness comes at six foods - your "good" food and five fillers. Said fillers are only there to clear the history. In fact, if you don't care about how much mana you're getting from the filler and don't mind a little speed loss in favor of getting a lot of efficiency from the "good" food, the fillers don't even need to be unique; you could use something like one steak followed by five melon slices. EDIT: Found the video I saw that in: ua-cam.com/video/3mx8aRPfT0A/v-deo.html
An advanced 8 food setup supported by a corporea system would be really interesting. I love corporea, its just so fascinating to play around with. Also, I've been tinkering with using mutton for one, with the sheep farm also providing the wool for a Spectrolus, but for some reason I keep getting more of one or two colors over time. I think I messed up redstone timing, or a chunk border, but it would be neat to see your take on a multi-tasked farm like that.
Will you be continuing this? Because there's still a lot you haven't covered, like how the heck does one create/utilize a Corporea Network? I've never done it before, and have been following your videos in order (you're amazing btw) and discovered this is the latest one and it was done four months ago? Anyway, hope to see a new video soon! Sucks that this wonderful mod has been discontinued. >.>

I missed this surviving with lol I just started a botania playthrough so your ideas and help is so appreciated, thanks rage.

Are you planning on going over the method of producing TNT effectively for the Entropinnyum mana farm? Look forward to seeing it!
did he ever do that im trying to find it now
I play Enigmatica 6 and having Botania, Astral Sorcery and Refined Storage is an amazing combo for mana generation. The Kekimurus is amazing.
Botania vanilla foods that can be fairly easily automated:
Apples
Melon slices
Steak
Cooked porkchop
Cooked chicken
Carrots
Potatoes
Baked potatoes
Beetroots
There is an absolutely broken setup for mana using Astral Sorcery by converting pumpkins to cakes with a collector crystal.
true but thats not for Gourmaryllis. thats used for kekimurus.
Yeah, I just didn’t want to butcher the name TBh.
@@enderger5308 ah lol i also copied it from google :D i was also butchering it :D
good idea to use the timer to delay the droppers

Uhh, this isn't in the playlist. I almost didnt see it
i'm guessing Cooking with blockheads foods woud be overkill
I messed up feeding it two stacks of porkchops.
I like this video very much, let me learn a lot of knowledge, but why don't you make the next video?
I was trying to automate gourmaryllis with complicated Create machinery but all i needed is 4 dispensers 💀💀
Rotten flesh adds 2 chickens but the hunger effect eats 2 lol
