I'm glad yours is working. From day one, mine won't engage the motor when the tip is pressed down. Well, you have to do it four or five , six times. Aggravating as hell.

Have you tried to return it for a new one? Are you still under warranty? I know even the box stores you have 90 days then another year plus from dewalt? Sucks yours isn't working right mine has been a lifesaver no more 3lb sledge doing one nail at a time!
