I bought a set of hooks for my 1025R a few years ago but haven't put them on yet. But after watching your video, I'll be installing mine soon and pulling out some crappy trees/weeds too. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your channel.
I appreciate your thoughtful comments my man! The tractor is going to make my vision for this land happen a lot easier. Glad you enjoyed the video and stick around for the next one💪🏻
The safety helmet is a great idea, coming from the oil and gas patch they are a must ! I am going to install a pair on my John Deere very very soon cause I need to get my landscape rake etc. picked up out of the way. Great video-thank you !
Didn’t trust the chain and I like my teeth!! Good luck with the new setup. Glad you liked the video - I just put a new one up, a bit different than this, but hoping you enjoy that one too!💪🏻
I just gave these the toughest test yet! I’m actually impressed with how this little tractor performs. I’ll have a video out on it soon. In the meantime, I’ve uploaded a related topic, designing my permaculture forest. I’m using these hooks and chain to prepare the land for it. Hope you stick around to watch it all play out!
A suggestion for making your channel grow: Utilize your JD 1025R as much as possible to get people interested. How long have you had it, what made you decide to buy it, did you compare it other tractors, what attachments do you have and which do you plan getting in the future? Tractors come in handy and a lot of people want to see them used in videos. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Not a bad idea. I’ll have to check how it’s holding up one of these days, that’s something I didn’t do at the time. Thank you for watching and I hope you stick around for more videos!
Rsg - thanks for the comment. I'll be honest I don't remember how big the chain I got was, but it was big enough!! I hope you stick around and check out my newest upload, snow plowing on the tractor!
Hey Brother! Glad you liked the video, and I appreciate the constructive feedback. In my more recent videos I’ve cut out the music all together due to this reason. I got this comment a few times, so I’ve reserved the audio to the natural sounds of the project I’m working on! Hope you stick around the channel for more content. -Krsna
Hey Ethan! I used the half inch step bit (sometimes called a uni bit) from Milwaukee, ran me about 20 bucks if I remember correctly. Good luck with your set!
I'm drilling into a $44k tractor tomorrow as soon as it arrives. I figure it will only increase the value 😂. I have a bucket, grapple and backhoe. Forks and box blade are coming separately and I'll need to offload them with my bucket and chains so I can later use forks. They wanted $125 × 2 deliveries to unload the box blade and forks/ mount. The damn hooks and drill bits are like $60 all in so F it I just need to borrow a chain from the neighbor lol.
Putting these hooks on was easily the best thing I’ve done to mine. They’re so incredibly useful, just don’t be nervous like I was. Line ‘em up proper and you’ll be good to go. Enjoy all the new equipment, brother! Thanks for watching.
Martin, you're damn right! I've gotten to take on a few more projects with these hooks and have a better handle on it all. I have a new video coming out today, consider taking a look at that one too! -Krsna
Haha I appreciate your delivery on this comment, made me chuckle. I’ve since learned about volume regulation in my videos, believe me! Check out my newer videos and you’ll know what I mean, no music included!! Thanks for watching.
Hey Houston, I appreciate you stopping by and offering the constructive criticism, it’s appreciated. I’ve begun to phase out music from my videos as this has been a suggestion in a few places. I hope you still enjoyed the video, and stick around for my new projects yet to be seen on the channel!💪🏻❤️
I don’t have any affiliate links or anything of the sort - but they were the Autobots 3/8 inch bolt on hooks from Amazon. I appreciate the viewership and comment on the video, make sure you stick around for all the others on the farm!
You’re right Fred, I might as well be a bobble head, in the name of safety. I do appreciate you watching that far in, hope you stick around the channel for more content!
It wasn’t that tough, was it!! Check out my recent video John Deere 1025r is a Beast, that one’s a bit more for the big boys💪🏻💪🏻 thanks for stopping by
Thank you for helping me so I can install the hooks. Kindest regards Linda from Michigan
Glad this helped out, Linda. That’s great to hear. Thanks for watching!

Need to Add these hooks to my loader as well, what size chain and how long did you get? Thanks Bob
Just finished installing a set on my JD 3520. Love them. Bought from JU Fabworks. 100% American made and great quality.

I would definitely, spray some good anti rust paint on the holes.

What size chain link and length did you use? Works great! Thanks

Good instructional video, However would suggest doing an audio level adjust. You’re voice is quiet, but when you add the music it blasts out…

What size and kind of drill bit did you use? I just bought a set from Amazon as well. Lol. Thanks.

Worked like a charm Bro! 💪🏼 🙏🏼

Keep your bucket lower. That way you won't jerk the rear tires off the ground from lack of ballast.

Great video. I would appreciate it if you wouldn't blow our ears out with the loud music after the first line of dialog. Thanks

Channel Suggestion: Volume-Level your videos to 50%. I had to crank it up to hear your commentary then the music came blaring out at 100%

What kind of drill bit is that?
Hey Jeff, they call that a step bit or a uni bit. It’s the half inch size from Milwaukee
Fkin A, pull them all out! 😂😂
Hell yeah brother git’r goneee!!💪🏻😂
Do you have a Amazon link to those hooks you used??

I think you needed a much bigger helmet with face shield

Could rip that out as a joke with a tooth bar on your bucket.
