In 2018 Sarah Jory celebrates 40 years in the music business, with credits including Van Morrison, Imelda May, Duane Eddy, Cyndi Lauper, Eric Clapton, Gene Watson, Kenny Rogers, Daniel O' Donnell, Lisa McHugh, Elkie Brooks and the late Glen Campbell.
Balanced alongside this has been a solo career with multiple award-winning studio & live albums, and membership to the BCMA Hall of Fame amongst other accolades. One of the finest Pedal Steel players in the world today, she is also accomplished on Guitar, Banjo, Dobro, Mandolin & Ukulele, and is available for studio work or remote sessions.

This is the most beautiful version of this wonderful song. Sarah and her instrument are bonded as one. She is zoned into every note she plays and the emotion she generates from the guitar is something awesome and unbelievable. It is just pure ecstasy to listen to this and watch her play. Absolutely sensational.
You may notice Ms. Sarah feels every note and every slide. She is one with her steel. An amazing talent...and the best in the world !!!

01/27/2021 I believe an angel dropped their harp. When it hit the earth it broke into a pile that they tried to repair. They found it impossible. God made it into a steel guitar. Many efforts were made until the electric steel was the precious harp from heaven. Sometimes an angle will pick up the picks and step on the peddles. The outcome of that may well be Sarah. Even with a biblical name. I love her. What a gifted and fragile performer. She is like no other except the very best, Rest in peace Buddy, your gift was transferred to the fingertips of a new star and angel.

I only discovered Sarah a few months ago. First time I heard her play "City Lights" I became a fan. So disappointed I had not heard her before.
The chills and tears are immediate with this one! She is remarkable to say the least! 💜

I first saw Sarah at a Gretna Green gig about 1989 and several gigs in following years around cumbria and Scotland. She always had a natural feel for the pedal steel guitar and so many years on , all I can say is WOW !

You are an inspiration. I'm trying to learn pedal steel now. I've played most stringed instruments since I was about 8 years old. Just now at 57 have I laid hands and feet on the steel. Why so long? I'm a lefty. You and David Hartley are my hero's. Thanks for all the great music.
Let me, please, butt in. If you already play several stringed instruments, you will catch up with PSG (Pedal Steel Guitar). Never too late, believe me.
Regarding being lefty, I think you've got two options: Get a lefty PSG (there are some second-hand in the market now; not to mention you can order one) or play a "normal" pedal steel; some lefty players play it that way though, in your case (playing other stringed instruments) a lefty model could be the logical choice...

Lloyd Green is a leftie and plays a std r/h pedal steel ......I think we can say he plays pretty good, it can be done.
