Thanks Jordan, always a blast racing Spec Miata with you and seeing your smile light up the paddock. Never underestimate that value! Its gonna take you far in life!
Glad you got to watch this race Randy. Very unusual circumstances with some of the fastest drivers all starting at the back due to terrible wet qually sessions where many did not get a time. So hard to make your way through a field of 66 Spec Miatas, who all have the right to the same piece of asphalt. This came down to picking the right side of every scuffle to move forward, but unfortunately there were many casualties!
Thanks Greg. All Spec Miata Hoosier Super Tours are BATTLES! Some are just more EPIC than others. This one rates as one of my most enjoyable races! Which is why I keep coming back for more!
I’m glad to see you own it in the rolling text saying “we ALL could have done better, myself included.” It’s an exciting video to watch. Everyone knows you’re an expert-level, championship class winning driver, but not everyone else is and I’m afraid the problem is people watch your video and think it’s OK to drive off course to complete a pass (ua-cam.com/video/4SDriVdBd8E/v-deo.html), turning others with a stout fender shove (ua-cam.com/video/4SDriVdBd8E/v-deo.html), and frequent bumping to pass at one of the track’s fastest sections (ua-cam.com/video/4SDriVdBd8E/v-deo.html). I understand it’s Hoosier Super Tour, not a regional race, but we are still club racers. The risk and expense of crash damage repairs and personal injuries are still real, just saying!
Hi James, I appreciate your comments and I am sure you read the original post in our Spec Miata Facebook page that relates to this video that highlights these very specific moments
Rowan. Had the qually sessions run the way they normally do, and had the qually sessions been green, the class would have sorted itself out from fastest to slowest, and most of this stuff would not have happened. But it didnt, and we raced with what we had. Despite the mess, I LOVED every moment of it, wheel to wheel, door handle to door handle, like motocross with a cage! Spec Miata is the BOMB!
Great race Danny! That was GWARLY!! Done Spec Miata races at Sebring with 80 plus cars and Homestead with 70 plus cars. Always gwarly with all the beating and banging.
this is what happens when everyone starts driving sims. Im scared to go to the track with how unrespectful and untalented drivers are now adays. its like a carnival
Hi Jake the Snake - sorry that you feel that way. I see it very differently and that is what makes the world so wonderful, we all see it from different perspectives. Personally, as a 65 year old fart, I LOVE the excitement that Spec Miata offers. So many TRULY TALENTED drivers that have joined our class that to even finish in the top 20 in a Hoosier Super Tour event is a major accomplishment. I will always seek out the most competitive class to play.
Bad ass
Thanks Jose - yes Spec Miata racing is some pretty bad-ass stuff. Close door to door racing, not for the feint of heart!
Great driving Danny! Was fun working thru the field with you and thanks for the great push down the front! I had a blast, see you at more!

As we were racing MId Ohio, we were trying to watch you all race! Great driving!
Thanks Tiger. This video puts you in the driver's seat
The risk is so high. Great job Danny, but dang, I’m not ready to throw away a destroyed Spec Miata. Yikes! Loads of excitement tho.

Nice drive, and great engine that easily runs down every car on the track...too good.
thanks John, yes engine is good, one of Rossini's best to date. That one has been torn down 4 times in scrutineering in the past two years.
Awesome race . Great job . Total battle

What a race!
It was super intense
That is a drive but the amount of contact of nose to tail, side to side is just crazy. Everyone said I am not giving you an inch anywhere.
You are spot on, so many talented drivers all who want to win, not wanting to give up an inch. That is what makes Spec Miata SO exciting!
Good show Ole' Chap!
Thank you Mac
Wow! I would love to race these cars.
So come and join us. Most exciting thing you will ever do with your clothes on
Fantastic race
thanks @ButterBiscuits, even more fun behind the wheel of the car!
@@dannysteyn oh for sure some day I want to race this series

@@x3racer86 many thanks X3 Racer
This looked like a mess. Never seen driving this bad by the field. Kinda made me feel less bad that I wasn't there

7:10 I wish I could do that in iRacing. touch anyone in a corner and they're dead.
That’s car looks like it’s got an extra 25hp on the field and off-road tires 😂
