Bingewatching J&J is the best thing I've ever done.
😊
This is a fact, I've watched almost every video over the past few days lol
Agreed!
Me = Crush
Me too!
Imagining your wife coming home excited to have some coffee soufflé but you’ve devoured them all 😂
😂😂😂😂
Well, in his defense, souffle has to be served immediately so if she was expecting to eat one later that was never going to work out!
He really ran a train on all of those 😂😂😂
I don’t think she’s particularly excited about eating his stuff tbh. I’ve seen her reaction previously and it’s “meh” at beast. 😂
You just make more
being so concerned about touching all over the egg whites and then immediately sneezing inside of the mixing bowl and still using it is peak content
he ain't feeding YOU is he? Not anyone else, apparently. This content is for home cooks. If he's sick, you will be, if y'all share space. FFS, chill.
@@nomadmarauder-dw9re are you unable to understand sarcasm? do you need a definition for "peak content?" lmk
@@savmantha baxinga
@@savmantha bazinga
@@nomadmarauder-dw9re what is wrong with you
10:00 the secret ingredient for perfect peaks is one sneeze in the mixing bowl.
On a deep and spiritual level I resonate with eating the four souffles immediately after cooking and leaving none for your wife
😂😂
the level of betrayal that she was not invested...deep message
BOUILLI did I love this episode! ❤
Oh bouilli! 😂😂
This should be the new Fuiyoh!
Claire is definitely the Julia of modern times! Jamie is truly a man of culture 😭
Gotta love Claire!
@@thehadster7043 Yes for baking she is
@@ThePapaja1996 well technically, yeah, but she has that same chaotic energy that Julia did a really good job of buttoning up in a nice 1950's sundress. Loved watching her do the reverse-engineering vids on BA and realizing that Julia would be exactly the same 🤣
He definitively has good taste in cooking mentors. Lol😂
Julia will always have more of an impact because up to 10 million watched her shows as they aired and in reruns, as there were only 4 networks at the time.
When making soufflé, you should put the buttered ramekins in the fridge so the butter hardens. You will get a way better rise that way as the butter doesn't just melt into the batter
I actually let the ads play on this channel because it's so wholesome and I want to support it in my broke way
I can’t believe your wife left the house when you were making coffee soufflés! I’d be hanging around asking when it’s ready 😂😋.
My 3 year old is very interested in watching you… maybe when he’s your age, he will start a “Jamie, Julia, & James” series. 😂
Jimmy!
😅😆🤣
My grand nephew and I cooked an iron skillet brownie together. He's 5, and was so proud.
Just a fun baking tip: Instead of water, I have found that using vinegar to clean the bowl for meringue is usually the best!
works great if you not have cream of tatar to.
lemon juice works as well!
@@ThePapaja1996 too*
I have a fine mister bottle with vinegar for stuff like that.
Is a Copper Bowl the boon for beating eggs whites/creating meringue like I have been led to believe all my life??
Thought I was gonna lose it when he sneezed on his clean bowl 🥣 🤧, hahahahahaha
I was wondering if I was the only one who saw that.
Honestly thank you for this these videos. I had the most horrible night, didn't sleep a second, was in so much pain and I literally watched your videos almost the entire night and it was so nicely comforting and at the same time I was able to get my mind off the pain. Its just beautiful how UA-cam can help so much
So sorry about your pain! :( I’m glad my antics can help in any way
I never miss Claire's videos. They're great.
Also a Claire fan & follower 😇
Did I hear you say "wife"? You just crushed my fantasies. Still love your candid cooking channel.
The rim dent is the trick to height...always. Souffles are easy as pie, you are rocking the videos. International success is coming to you Jamie! 👨🍳🎃🕷🕸🦇🧙♀️👏👍
You ate them all??? This looks amazing. Good job! Thanks for refilming this for us and starting a new trend!😊☕️
might as well if no one else is in lbut still very funny seeing someone spend an hour making these things then scoffing them

i found you a day after my 2 year anniversary. the 5th this month. also the day i caught my bf cheating on me.. 😕so i started binging and falling asleep to your videos and you’ve helped me so much. i can sleep and also eat now. it only took 2 weeks 🤦🏽♀️ you’ve motivated me to go back and do what i love and it’s cooking! thank you Jamie ❤️. thank you a lot 🖤
hey im sorry to hear your ex is such an asshole things will get better and you will thrive without him *sending cookies ice cream your favorite alcholic beverage and a plushie*

You dodged a bullet if you left him.
@@charlibrown7745 oh for sure ! i’m done. i didn’t deserve none of that.
I'm sorry to hear that. But enjoy the cooking, and find someone who deserves your cooking.
I just discovered your channel and I’m hooked. I have an original 1st edition, signed copy of Mastering that was my mom’s. It’s one of my most prized possessions… and I use it constantly. Watching your videos have added such a fun layer and I’ve been expanding out to more recipes I’d never tried.
I've been searching channels for years on youtube like this and never popped up your content. UA-cam recommended your channel randomly two-three weeks ago and I'm obsessed with it. I learnt to cook the same way and with the same attitude as you do (with another cookbook). It's a fantastic journey (I started it cca 15 years ago), happy cooking.
Same! I have been binging ever since. I hope another gingerbread house is done this year.
same!!
You need to go on vacation, take the Silver Fox with you, and do a whole series of pictures featuring you and the Silver Fox enjoying the sights! Congratulations on the best souffles I've seen in some time. Twice in the last 24 hours I forget to add the freshly minced parsley to my hash brown potatoes. It just sat there on my cutting board, glaring at me until I was about halfway through eating the potatoes and saw it... It happens to the best of us. Keep cooking!
It was “adorkable” for sure
maybe not when you realize how heavy those mixers are!
"Now the soufflés are halfway to Mars and the vanilla is still to my Larry...if that made any sense to you, lemme know" 😂
He listened about the whisk! Maybe he’ll listen to me about the cooling rolling pin for pastry dough too.
Very daring that you crack and separate your eggs over the one bowl.
I always use one bowl for the yolks, one for the whites, and one bowl that I crack the eggs over and isolate each egg's white before adding it to the others. That way, if I get a piece of eggshell in the bowl, it's easier to see and remove. It also helps prevent you from ruining/wasting all your egg whites because a yolk broke in them.
4:15-4:21: The special educator in me just lit up. This is excellent instruction: Give pre-information (we are making a soufflé), shows the ingredients and highlights a term the audience may not be familiar with. Shows the audience the word, confirms the pronunciation (says it and provides online audio) and then proceeds to demonstrate. The next step is for the audience to try out the recipe ourselves and then report back with our experiences😊. Also important is to check in with the audience to see if they have any questions: 8:23-8:28
5:41-5:55: Agreed. The coffee drinker in me wondered how much flavor you would extract from beans steeped in milk. Interesting
14:18: I was just thinking that😅
Hello! Future educator here (History secondary education major) and I just wanna say thank you for what you do. I'm currently doing my observation in a special education classroom and the stuff that those teachers and students have to put up with from other students, the district, and parents makes my heart break for them. You genuinely are one of the unsung heroes of our society and I wish you got the respect and money that you deserve.
@@corielldoghc Hello! You are the actual hero. I just completed my Master of Arts in SPED this year. I support post-secondary students by providing them with academic accommodations. I’m not in the classroom. Instead, I work with students and their professors to source, schedule, monitor, and evaluate their services. I liken it to Selpa work. Your work directly in the classroom takes more application of skills. And although I deal with behaviors (for example), it is not in a classroom environment where you are challenged to think “on your feet”. I have the luxury of contemplating my responses through email and phone. Take good care of yourself. Best wishes
When I'm not in the mood to cook it DEFINITELY shows!! Really enjoy your videos ♥️
Same, when I'm not in the mood I'm better off thawing leftovers I stashed in the freezer than cooking --- it _does_ show.
I am so impressed with the mise en place! It really looks like you have grown so much. I made soufflés the other day on my channel, can confirm prep and mindset is key 😂
Thanks for the entertainment and keeping me inspired Jamie 🌟
It is lovely to watch you become a better cook and more and more reverent to Julia’s tips. Inspiring many cooks for sure.
Claire is a legend! I would love to see you cook your way through her brand new baking book
Wow! I actually caught this 15 sec after you put up the video. Came across your videos a month ago and have been watching them all. You have me wanting to open up Julia’s books and start trying her recipes
Thank you for your videos. Educational and fun
SAME! ...except it makes it want to do the exact opposite. Seeing the struggle I never want to try her recipes. Way more entertaining to watch.
I picture Kristy coming home and saying "Seriously, there are NONE left?" :-) Great video!
Good timing I needed something fun to watch!
I always love your videos!!

Dude, awesome job. Really, awesome.
a video on a Tuesday? thanks for blessing me today, Jamie 🤩
I was recommended one of your videos a few weeks ago and have been bingewatching the rest since then, I really love your J&J series!
You did a fantastic job Jamie! It’s amazing watching your skills improve with every video.
Have already bookmarked the recipe in my book!! I will have to make them this week and give this trend momentum
great job jamie!! thank you for your honesty and compassion towards yourself in the process of making these recipes!!
This looks delicious! Love that you ate them all!
Yup, been binge watching these too the past few days. The best thing is waiting for Jamie to drop an "about" in his adorable Canadian "ooh" accent. 😁 Definitely making these soufflés myself! Keep the orders up, J! 😋
Excellent prep layout.
I lose days binging on you and Julia, I'm living for this 🥳😊
Looooooved the split screen shot
Well done!!! We love Claire!!!
I love your kitchen!!!
Great job Jamie🎉I’m going to make these...soon! Love, love, LOVE your vids....keep ‘em coming. Merci
You are getting more intuitive in the kitchen - you did well to catch that the egg whites got over-whipped! Congrats on some beautiful souffles! I don't much care for coffee (I never drink it), but I do love a small amount of espresso powder in brownies - just a hint of that takes it to the next level. I will have to give this one a go. 🙂
Those came out beautifully, well done
brilliant and well done. You're 9ne of my favourite youtubers and I love the recipes.
Just found your channel and I love your content! I adore Julia Childs but have never made her recipes myself.
Beautiful!
I've been watching your videos for the past 3 days now and you deserve more followers. your content is so relatable than any other cooking videos I've seen.
You just rock! I love the way you gave become so confident in the kitchen...keep it coming 😊👌
Those look incredible!
You made that look easy!
I have loved watching you cook (and eat) Julia's recipes. You make me want to try her books.
I love cooking videos and I love how you really go for it and eat what you make. That's one of the things I enjoy about your show in particular. Thanks Jamie!
Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Excellent
I love that you watched Claire !! I love your channel ❤!!!
So glad you tried this again! (and added B-roll from the first attempt)
You are like the commentary and video on my learning how to cook. Mise en place is so important.
I just discovered your channel and I’m hooked!! Hii you’ve got yourself a new subscriber!! Keep up the great work just watched your pumpkin pie video too!!
Well done, you! Cheers from Hamilton, Ontario 🤗
This was so much fun to watch.
I had my copy of Mastering the Art of French Cooking next to me. I found the recipe while you arranged your ingredients. Thank you so much!
You have skyrocketed!!!!
Finally got your shine- keep going friend!!! 💗
10:02 bless you! Great episode
I always say that if your heart isn't in your baking/cooking, it shows . Even if you did everything right, it will show that you really weren't into doing it.
Really good cooking requires a lot of babying that can be extremely difficult to make yourself sit through if your heart isn't in it.
Looks yummy... oh and the soufflé looks good too.
good job, young anti-chef. very good job
i just found you 2 days ago..... and already watched like 20 episode lol :D thank you for the great funny cooking
Beautiful rise this time! I love how you used a split screen to show how the souffles were rising in the oven while showing yourself talking about what was happening. Super good job, Jamie!!!
