    I recognize your voice from your audiobook Set Boundaries, Find Peace! Such an exceptional book and your cadence is so impactful, I recommend it to anyone who brings boundaries up. Thank you for your work! [:

    Saying it REPEATEDLY doesn’t always work either and that’s when you realize the other really doesn’t respect you at all

    Struggling with boundaries and a difficult client. I liked hearing that my boundaries need to be followed through, or to the client, they assume it can be trounce down due to the business they give me. 🤷‍♀️. Also dealing with a difficult business partner who opposes everything I set for theses boundaries.

    I love ❤️ this. I have learned these exact things for myself and worked to implement them in my family relationships and have been surprisingly met with resistance and silence 🤐 😢. However, due to that reaction I have come to learn, people need time to adjust if they aren’t in a place to act in ways that you are asking them to in a relationship. So I wait. But while waiting, I continue in me and what I enjoy. When we get older friends aren’t what they used to be. Friends would be for life’s good and bad things. I don’t have any at this time as I would need what I have given others over the years and found they just can’t reciprocate. It isn’t worth it now as my needs will not allow the work needed to put in. I need someone to choose to put in the work for me this time around and it just isn’t happening for me. Older has a quieter lifestyle. ☮️ it can be priceless. No one to reciprocate with. Freeing. Let me say that again. Freeing. Only one who lives it could understand the quagmire it creates. Lessons Learned here.

    I'm captivated by the clarity and insights in this content. A book with comparable insights was a defining experience for me. "The Art of Saying No: Mastering Boundaries for a Fulfilling Life" by Samuel Dawn

    You can alter your environment so that it nourishes you. Start with something little, like leaving out your journal and a pen. Or having a clean teacup ready. Or a blanket that has a soothing scent. Or a clear path to the window to let in some fresh air.
    All these details may sound tiny, but don’t underestimate how things add up. Sow tiny habits into your day as silent as an unnoticed breeze.

    I work in an environment where attendance is part of the metrics. We have sick leaves and vacation leaves. Then they made sick leaves as something that would be deducted from your stats if you take it. Crazy right?

    Some good info here about taking care of oneself but who's going to be the first to go when they downsize? The prima donna who tries to dictate to her boss which form of communication they should use with her. 😆 Reasonable expectations are great but flexibility is key but hierarchical systems and at-will hiring/ firing are the norm whether we like it or not.

    Ah well see corporations don’t want rumination these don’t want thinking employees these want to get away with their own policies, as when people do speak up they get dismissed. Human values are not valued. You’re in the wrong profession that’s not what therapists support. You need to pull for a traditional role to raise it. You ever see that film What About Bob? And what was the therapist’s role: to make Bob fit inside the box of his institution’s politics. And what occurred: the therapist found out the hard way that his box wasn’t all that he thought it was. LOL so your role should NOT be to make people make their institutions accept them your role is to empower your people to where they don’t need those institutions.

    No is a complete sentence.
    You can’t pour from an empty cup into a busted cup.
    You will not get your existence back from the hours you spend working. Work smarter, not harder.
    Minimum wage is minimum effort.
    You have nothing to lose but your chains.

    • @carsonhunt4642
      @carsonhunt4642 Рік тому

      Exactly. You are insanely privileged if think the workforce works this way😂
      In at will employment states you are fired the first second your boss doesn’t “like” you, regardless of your work output. Most businesses are run through politics which means incompetence, dumb people are emotional not logical. Doing these things will make your boss not like you = fired.
