Wonderful views of Whitby and surrounds in the snow. What a beginning to 2024. I felt so sorry for those poor ponies looking for somewhere to shelter. It looks positively freeeeezing. Thanks for taking us there.
Thanks for braving the snow and ice to take us around Whitby/Sandsend! Such familiar places !Particularly enjoyed the shots of the sea and cliffs at the end!
Thank you for sharing, I long to be in Whitby during a period of snow - its the one thing I have never experienced, despite all the years I lived in and around the town. I was also wishing I could walk around camera in hand, as I could just see lots of fresh image ideas that I could use, and enjoy. Wonderful stuff.
One of the things my wife noticed when we were there last year, everybody greets you walking around Whitby. We live in South Africa & people live here in constant fear.
Visit once a week and know the area well you've captured a lot of amazing footage. Would imagine you got your 10000 steps in on the day really appreciate what you give us to view. 10 out of ten in my book.
Hi Glenn, you bring so much joy watching your videos, the hard work you put in is very much appreciated!! This one was absolutely stunning, take care when filming in these bad weather conditions& thank you for sharing 💜
I have to let you know I am loving Whitby and your excitement and ability to show us what a remarkable area 2:05 you live in, from the New Year celebration on the beach to the different weather events. You really capture it’s beautiful and ever changing environment. Storms calm weather changes and the never ending adventure ❤️ Thank you so much for sharing your love for your area! Shelley from Canada 💕💕🎉🎉
Hello glen how are you love your vidio of the snow in Whitby its a beautiful place you are very brave taking me round best wishes take care stay safe from Lynn x ❤😅😅
Absolutely stunning Glen, as always you never disappoint 😊. I live in Australia now but I’m a Whitby girl. I love how you photograph my home town and bring me home with your videos and resurrect memories for me. Thank you 😊. I look forward to your next video 😊
Saw more than that in Nov 17 th 1970 & had to drive to Malton over the moors,Dec 24 th 1970 it snow late afternoon had to go from Redcar via Whitby to Malton accident all over the place ,Snow piled 2ft or more where a snow plough had cleared the road over the Moors, that was snow ,
Hi stephen love your coming to the east coast weve not got amazing views like you in Blackpool but we have some amazing coastline from Scarborough to Flamborough and Whitby full of history a fascinating place not sure if you will be hooe you get to see our magnificent Humber Bridge ❤️
Boulby still a working mine ?? I used to work on that site as a metal worker before it was commissioned, it was a cols hole then lol. I left for Australia soon after.
Everyone worried about the 🐴 horse's - They are fine - they are not racehorse type - they look stocky - sturdy - and have very thick winter coats to keep warm - they'll scrape the snow away to get to the grass or nibble on branches - i bet they're warmer then the guy filming 😂.
Hi Malcolm that's Sneaton Castle just on the outskirts of Whitby. A former convent, which was bought by the previous owners of The Stables Restaurant (The Morley Family formerly of Cross Butts Farm). The venue is now a Hotel, Wedding Venue and exceptional restaurant I am told. Should you ever pay them a visit, please reference my video ;)
Hi Margaret, I was up from about 3am and stayed out until mid day. then home and had some lunch and compiled the video so I was working for about 16 hours. Fell asleep and woke up today at 10am :)
Fantastic video, it's a long time since I've seen snow in Whitby! Thank-you for sharing this with us.

Hi Diane, you dont need to worry about the ponies, they are wild Dartmoor's I believe and were probably really enjoying it.
So lovely with no one around beautiful shots, thank you for sharing!
Thanks for getting up so early to film this Glenn !
Excellent work as usual. Thank you
Thankyou.
Beautiful shots!
What a wonderful video.

A magical place anytime, but in the snow so beautiful. Thanks for the video.
Funny how a bit of snow makes everywhere look lovely 😍
Fabulous video with great photography 🤗
Beautiful..
Wow it looks beautiful but it is very strange to see Whitby so quiet.
Absolutely breathtaking !!! Wonderful filming , so so good, really enjoyed watching it, as I do all your videos ❤
So good to hear the exchange of greetings of these people. It is lost in so many places in England now and London NOBODY TALKS to ANYBODY!
Mainly because they can't speak English!

Absolutely brilliant video, Whitby and Sansend look great in the snow😊. Were they wild ponies you filmed?
Where were the horses from glen?
Beautiful
Good video.
Stunning...
so beautiful
It did look lovely. I was quite sad when it melted.
Boulby still a working mine ?? I used to work on that site as a metal worker before it was commissioned, it was a cols hole then lol. I left for Australia soon after.
Do you not mean Jan 24 ?
Takes me forever to remember we're in a new year. 😊

I think they are Dartmoor ponies.
Soo much better in summer. Come back then. X
whitby, beautiful any season, rain or shine, or in this case snow.
Great video really enjoyed it but you need to change title to Jan 24 👍
where is the castle thing at 3 mins?

Nice one Glenn. You must have been out early doors filming this!
Hi Margaret, I was up from about 3am and stayed out until mid day. then home and had some lunch and compiled the video so I was working for about 16 hours. Fell asleep and woke up today at 10am :)
You deserved that good sleep!
I can't imagine how cold it must have been! Were the ponies free to roam like Dartmoor ponies - I didn't know there was any like that up here? 🤔🐎🥶
Shouldn't this be titled January 2024?
So what can you afford the heating, I live in Scotland one hour a day is all I can. It is 10c in my living room. So WOW snow who gives a flying sunak.
Err it is 2024 now :-)
It’s winter.
Global warming 😂
Thank you. I really appreciate you going into the temps to make these vids. And becoming less of a novice at it to, might I add. 👍👏👏👏🪬
