'This World Oft Can Be,' Della Mae's Rounder debut, shows that like The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers, and Punch Brothers, the five multitalented young women of Della Mae are respectful of American musical tradition, but not restricted by it, combining centuries' worth of musical influences with an emotionally tough, undeniably modern songwriting sensibility. In a relatively short period of time, the band has become a sensation in the music world, commanding a powerful collective chemistry with vocal, instrumental, and songwriting talent to spare. 'This World Oft Can Be,' recorded at Johnny Cash's cabin in Hendersonville, Tennessee and mixed by Paul Q. Kolderie (Radiohead, The Pixies, Uncle Tupelo), mines time-honored elements to create music that's unmistakably fresh and contemporary.

I listen to this every day when I get off of work, I didnt like folk/bluegrass until I heard these girls and I am inspired to write lyrics and sing folk, I LOVEEE their music.

I LOVE the music but .... I can't tell you how much I hate this type of video where the cameras are dancing all over and in and out and you can't tell who is playing what! Get Real with the camera work please :).
Are you familiar with Chris Thile. I really like Sierra, Grisman, Bush, Jamie Masefield, and others in other genres. But Thile is the least restricted by genre of almost any musician I've heard. He plays mandolin at the highest level, pretty much as good as I've ever heard any play any instrument.
Very nice music. I don't know if it's a special video technique or something, but the in and out of focus thing was too much for this video -- kind of annoying actually.

Sound like the Dixie chicks before they got Natalie Manes.their music is so good if singer was grittier it would be cool. Just my humble opinion.
Celia Woodsmith ain't bad as a lead singer plus she creates a lot of the original songs they play. All we need to tell them is to stay away from politics.
I think if this were slowed down it would gain some depth. My humble opinion. It's technically good but not very original sounding. A slower pace might allow this lead singer to emphasize her notes more instead of grabbing what breath she can and saying as much as possible.
