Here are some Line Note mnemonics I've used with my students (but we mostly use the Fudge one in practice). Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge, Every Girl Buys Designer Fashions, Empty Garbage Before Dad Flips, Every Good Burger Deserves Fries and a couple Spanish ones: Elefantes Gordos Buscan Diez Frutas, and El Gato Bebe Del Florero

Hi Joshua. Thanks for the video. I have a question. I teach music in Spanish, but Im gonna start teaching music in English and I don't know if the students needs to read saying A B C D F G or Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti. I have listened some Native English people reading in both ways. Can you explain me please?

Hello! Thanks for watching! In my teaching, A B C D E F and G are the actual names of the notes that my band students will be reading off the staff so I really focus on that. This allows students to learn to identify the notes properly. After they have learned the note names, then I may move into teaching them Do Re Mi etc for music examples that we may sing through before playing through on instruments. These syllables are a secondary tool for students to use on top of knowing A B C D E F and G. I hope that helps!

Both! Singers often learn the solfege syllables because it really helps with sight reading. However, they need to also know how to read the pitches on the staff by letter name to play any pitched instrument. I am an elementary music teacher in the US, and we always teach the students the notes (letter names) on the treble staff before they move on to middle school.

Showing support , have you thought of getting a microphone? I think that will help bring your voice up in the video and sound more profesh.

Thank you for the support! I have definitely thought of getting a mic but I'm waiting until I get a good amount of content out there before investing in one. Definitely at the top of my list for recording gear!
