JHALONG :-
Jhalong is a village in the Gorubathan CD block in the Kalimpong subdivision of the Kalimpong district in West Bengal, India.
This tourist spot is 99 km from Siliguri and 77 km from Jalpaiguri. Surrounded by the thickly wooded forest and the astounding hills of Bhutan in the backdrop, Jhalong is undoubtedly a paradise for nature lovers.
The hill station is situated near the Indo-Bhutan border on the banks of the Jaldhaka River, on the way to Bindu. Jaldhaka Hydro Electricity Project on the Jaldhaka river is a major attraction in this area. Bird lovers can enjoy a varied collection of hill birds as well as migratory water flow here.
BINDU :-
Bindu is a small village in the Dooars region of West Bengal, India, located on the border with Bhutan. It's known for its cardamom plantations, the Jaldhaka river, and the Bindu Dam.
Bindu dam on the Jaldhaka river that controls the water supply to the Jaldhaka Hydel Project. It's also a breeding ground for migratory water fowl. Here Jaldhaka river orms the natural boundary between West Bengal and Bhutan.
MURTI RIVER :-
A small picturesque village named Murti is situated along the bank of shimmering River Murti. River Murti originates from the Neora Valley National Park and flows through major tourist areas of Dooars before meeting Jaldhaka. From its origin, till it meets the Jaldhaka River, Murti stretches about 80km in length covering most of the pictorial sights. Located 60km from Jalpaiguri at the foothill of the Himalayas Murti offers awe-inspiring scenery of the adjacent forest area.
