A manga rarely makes me laugh but that part when a drop of soy sauce gets on jiji’s hand and the next panel where he instantly flipped the table made me laugh out loud
Dandadan’s humour is definitely not for everyone. I heard a lot of people call it cringe which I can understand. I, personally, love it and that scene is great. lol
The dinner double spreads are among my favorite parts of this series. Just seeing the dinner table gradually getting surrounded by more and more characters over time gives me a sense of "damn we've come pretty far", plus they also serve as little breathing rooms inbetween arcs to give all the characters time to bond with one another no matter how many have joined the cast so I find them pretty wholesome tbh. In a way, it reminds me of how One Piece tends to have massive feasts at the end of every major arc, except in Dandadan it feels even more "personal" (for lack of a better word)
100% ! i feel the same about it feeling personal. it’s so nice to see the cast grow. and even the smaller meals are nice too like in most recent chapters with Zuma.
Given how many people were involved in the most recent arc, I was curious what the end of the arc dinner would look like and Tatsu did not disappoint. They had to rent out a whole ass restaurant for it and it was magnificent.

4:55 *LIGHT SPOILERS FOR RECENT CHAPTER* This really gets me, because she was the same way with the student president after Okarun brought her in. She saw a new face and immediately offered food and that's a true testament to how kind a person she is.
Couldn’t have said it better! Seiko rocks. Just immediately, “who the heck are you?? Also, are you hungry?” A true “mommy” in appearance and attitude 💛😆

I also love how it ties up with Seiko's worldview (what she said when Okarun offered to pay her for the food and overall all the expances she spent on him during the first arc). It shows how important it is to her to not only follow the rule of respecting the dead, but also respecting the living too, by giving them the opportunity to become better members of society (by helping someone over paying her back). That is partly what makes me such a fan of Dandadan 😢❤ P.S: don't stop your videos on dandadan, please!!! I love the fact that you give it the praise it deserves.....and I love how you talk on different topics in general lol. As a person who became obsessed with dandadan two weeks ago (re-reading it in full, not skipping even one dialogue, for the third time....or is it the forth already?) I NEED more content on it, but it is kinda hard to come by😢
Yes! You’re so right about that. The found family and Seiko’s willingness to adopt even enemies (Evil Eye) as apart of the family is so sweet. This makes super happy to hear! I definitely will make more videos on Dandadan! I’m pretty obsessed too lol! I’m re-reading it now as well 😆😆 thank you so much for the comment!!
Little rituals like this really get to me, as I'm someone who really cares about hospitality (I literally work in that area), especially since in japanese culture, in-groups aren't that quick to accept new people. I think they're also a great way to give readers some time to digest all the events that happened and rest their eyes from all the insane visuals with a bit of cozy banter and good food. All this reminds me a bit of JoJo's, specifically Vento Áureo, in which Bucciaratti would always treat new members of his crew to a meal, and even some of the other members picked up on this trait, like Fugo when he met Narancia
I love this but now have a dreaded sense that Yuki will definitely flip this over our heads when he needs too. Conditioning us that the meal is the “Safe Room” like in horror games until BAM
