Probably the best instructional video I have ever watched, clear instructions and straight to the point.

Watched this and he made it look easy. B####%rd of a job. Took me best part of four hours and I only managed to do one side. I was rolling around on the floor though. I'll crack on with the other side next week.
Everything was solid. Handbrake Shoes came off easy enough but getting the new ones in was a mission. That top Spring was something else.

Excellent tutorial, I think the sport has slightly different fittings but virtually same, my question is did u put the handbrake into some sort of service mode? And did u follow a bedding in process straight after? Would appreciate the response as I'm doing my rear disc pads and handbrake tomorrow, cheers

I viewed your video and followed it implicitly. However, the disc will not go back on. The adjuster is closed completely. The parking brake was off when I started. I have tried a new disc with no joy. I have replaced the old shoes and still cannot get the old or new disc back on. Any ideas please.

Hello , in second 0:47 , you said push the adjuster to do what ? My English is weak , can you please write it and explaine it for me ...... I hear the world. Compensate !! Can you please explaine why I should push the adjuster ? Thank you

Hi there. I will try to explain. You must push the adjuster so that the brake shoes do not lock onto the brake disc and then you can remove the disc more easily. When you put the disc back on, you should adjust them again to make it locked, then adjust it back a couple of times to make it move freely. I hope that explains it for you.

Rimmer Bros TV Ok now I under stand , thank you very much 👍 , there is also many question I have to ask you. 1 I have LR3 V8 4.4 2009 HSE , can I only clean and adjust the EPB ONLY without iid tool and put them back ? Question 2 - I want to open the front pad and clean the caliper and put back without change them , because I want to learn how , is there any problem ? Q3 - what tool exactly should I have to change the disc and pads and which brand is good and how many torque wrench I should have ? ! You explaine the answer very good for the first question , I hope you will do with these question ..... Thank you very much

Rimmer Bros TV Please take your time and replay to me when you are comfortable please , I really need the answer

Question 1: I'm not quite sure, but if you want to remove the EPB and do not have much experience, I would advise against trying this job.
Question 2: This is an easy job and will require only a basic tool kit. Look at our videos to see how this can be done.
Question 3: A basic tool kit. Sockets, spanners etc. You should only need one good torque wrench.

just had my left rear caliper regreased after i thought it was sticking,as the disc hub and wheel were very hot(alot more than normal)the guy said the cliper was perfect, but its still getting very hot (i could nt touch the wheel)i may have drove with the hand break on before this started,as ionly noticed it when it was smoking hot, theres no noise when idrive and doesnt seem to hold back, any ideas? 2002 vogue v8

We would advise inspecting the disc and drum assembly for the handbrake shoes, as when these get hot they can crack. If there's no damage then reset and carry on as normal.
It would seem that having driven with the handbrake on may have been the problem as we would expect any binding to be noticable when driving and definitely hold the vehicle back.

+Charmene Dixon As you'll appreciate, it's very dificult to diagnose a fault without the vehicle being present and especially if your mechanic cannot advise on the problem.
Perhaps you would be best to take the vehicle to an official dealer/specialist.

Excellent tutorial.....from your video I've replaced my shoes, discs and pads, but one side is grinding....I took it off removed and refitted the whole lot and it's still grinding...even with the adjuster all the way backed off. Every heard of this?
