      You’ve seen me, of course she has good taste! 😂🙃😉
      I’d been looking at this online, I think she checked my amazon wish list 👍

    That will come in handy when you venture out a bit further rather than just around camp. Less weight of the saw, branches (smaller diameter), and faster to cut as well. That was a nice gift. Say hello to Tink. Can’t wait to see her out again, hopefully real soon. ATB Dan.

    If my little buck saw is crap, I may have to invest in one of these. I'm hoping it isn't as it's just as packable and nearly a 3rd of the price. Thanks for sharing buddy 👍

    Nice little saw. I have a similar little breakdown as well as a silky.
    Both have their uses. Nice saw tho Danno,didn't skip a beat.I'd consider one when I finally destroy the one I've got. Have a good week and see u friday.

    Looks good! A bit more money than some of the Silkys but if it’s more efficient, when you’re doing a lot of wood, worth the extra few quid maybe.
    I’m thinking about upgrading my saw so this vid is really useful. Thanks mate! 👍

      It’s hard to say which is better out of the silky and this one, they both have benefits. And are both great.. It comes down to personal choice

    I would recommend you to try a Silky Gomboy saw, I have two of then and they're just great for any work around the house or while camping.

    • @CampLifeBushcraft
      @CampLifeBushcraft  4 роки тому +1

      I’ve used a silky Gomboy for over 2 years now as I mentioned during this video. I love it, but as this was a gift I thought I’d give it a go.

      cheers Mick, yeah I did forget to mention that I had cut through a huge log in the night, by going in as far as I could then turning it.

    it's a great little saw, fit's nicely into the leg pocket on vidda pro's,.. nice presentation skills, :) ...I also have that fiskars axe,. which doesn't fit that trouser pocket

    • @CampLifeBushcraft
      @CampLifeBushcraft  4 роки тому

      I love the little axe. I normally use a silky saw, which I’ve no issues with. But I do like this little saw too, it was a great gift.
      Thanks for watching bud, and for the compliment.

    are you able to change the blade to a metal cutting blade?

    • @CampLifeBushcraft
      @CampLifeBushcraft  4 роки тому +1

      Darragh Ó Dubhsláine yes I think so, I believe the blade is of a universal size and type so can be swapped out. (Best to google it to be sure though)

  • @mfarmes

    I bought one of these and wasn’t to satisfied with its performance. It’s well built but just far too small

    Is this little thing still going well sir. And are there replacement blades

    • @CampLifeBushcraft
      @CampLifeBushcraft  3 роки тому +1

      its still in use, I love it. it takes standard size replacement blades btw.. you can get them at any hardware shop.

    So Dan, which do you like better the Silky or the bow saw? Cheers, Joe

    • @CampLifeBushcraft
      @CampLifeBushcraft  4 роки тому

      I think the Silky is a bit better in terms of the size of wood it will cut through, this new one has a limit. but they are equally sharp and will do the job. I have however bent my silky blade twice since I've had it, so it is a little flimsy at times. this new one feels more robust. but there really is not much in it to be fair.
