    bro i struggle so much with grinds/slides in general. I can boardslide super clean but when it comes to any other rail trick or even ledge trick I just cant do it. I cant ever lock in, aim is the problem i think. Any tips for rail and ledge tricks? Regarding aiming and locking in? Ive heard to just think about aiming your heels/feet to the ledge instead of thinking about aiming trucks to ledge

      @liam_dawson  3 дні тому +1

      The heels and toes is helpful. For me I always kept in mind adjusting my board parallel to the ledge after popping.

      Eventually it becomes more natural to aim the board correctly. Try to simplify it as much as possible in your head - think; use your feet to put the board into position. Starting off it is hard to get your head around distances/timings/weight distribution/shoulders/foot position etc, but it starts becoming easier once you learn the pockets of knowledge/fundamentals for certain tricks

      @Gavo._ 2 дні тому

      @@liam_dawson I need to do that for sure. That could be why the aim is off, thank you !

      @@maxe160 I think about all of that too much (weight distribution, shoulders, etc) which could be clouding me or distracting me. Simplifying it could definitely be what unlocks it. It’s almost like I know what grinds should feel like but when I try to get into them it doesn’t feel like I think it should. It feels like I’m missing something and once I find it it’ll unlock grinds. Thank you for the tips!

    Respectfully I bought a penny 27inch as I have no experience, hesitant on going all in a full on real skateboard for doing tricks, would you say you can have a board that works efficiently for learning tricks and commuting ? Thanks

      @@Someguy0718 check out my video on advantages of soft skateboard wheels. The 27’ penny boards are like cruiser skateboards (very fun) but without solid kicktails or grip tape

      From the other end of the spectrum, i got into skating from first buying a longboard. Later i purchased a skateboard to learn tricks and all that fun, now i barely use the longboard, even to commute on. I have 54mm spitfire formula four and it handles rough UK streets very well while also being fantastic for the skatepark. from personal my experience the best blend for commuting and tricks is just a normal skateboard!
