- This could possibly be the best Christmas present ever for a car enthusiast. Say hello to Nyla's brand new Fi-Exhaust, Valvetronic cat-back exhaust for her 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 507 Edition.

We spent a few days researching the best sounding exhaust for this platform. I'm not a big fan of de-cats, resonator deletes, or the worst, straight piping. I really wanted to put an Akrapovic system on this Mer ca dez but they are no longer manufactured them, so we went with the next best option which was the Fi-Exhaust system.
Personally, I think this exhaust sounds absolutely incredible. The car sounds exotic for a 6.2 liter V8, the pops and gurgles are at the perfect volume and the car gets dead silent when you close the valves.
Recently, we did remove the secondary's and replaced them with our custom-designed x-pipe to increase the volume of the exhaust. I think it should have been this loud from the start. Just to note, her car now has double x-pipes, and sounds even better. You can purchase the link pipes from Fi-Exhaust if you do not want to go through the hassle of making your own.

Stock mufflers sound better IMO. The main thing that would be changing the sound is the fact that you are putting an x pipe instead of the stock resonator.
Love your videos man!
Stock >
I agree that exhaust system definitely does not sounds as good as the OEM. Mercedes Benz designed a beautiful exhaust system there , thats why the w204 was known for. If you wanted a higher tone why not go and get yourself a damn M3. 😂
@@quintinbannister6749 happy for your opinion, we love it!
I am confused that you have sounds stock with valves open and closed when stock there are no valves in the 507 exhaust system, so there can't be 2 different sounds stock.
That is weird, I need to look at the OEM exhaust. When we switched the modes on the OEM exhaust, there was a sound difference clearly illustrated in the video.
@@FunctionFactoryPerformance Ya no valved until the W205 models, I have a 507 and a black series and no valves or change in sound on either of mine no matter the mode, mode does make the throttle mapping more aggressive and may contribute somewhat to sound?
No valves in any w204 c63s. What sound changes you probably heard were merely placebos.
@@sunnys14 Clearly was less aggressive in C mode. I wasn't there sadly, so I could be wrong.
@@FunctionFactoryPerformance Could have been variances on stepping on the throttle. None of the modes make a sound difference on my C63 exhaust…
13:42 almost clipped that curb hahaha.
I should have hung it out even longer!
You've made it worse wow.
Thanks!
how did you manage to have stock valves open? i thought the OEM didn't have valves
So, we found out by changing the drive modes, the car actually changes the tone like the newer BMW's.
@@FunctionFactoryPerformance ?? So putting it comfort versus sport or sport plus???
I was gonna ask that too
If that had been a raised curb @13:40 you would have been buying a new wheel and tire!
But I knew there wasn’t :P
That sounds horrible to be honest. I hope they went back to stock.
Sounded great to us!
She doesn’t care, it’s all about the views for her
Did you end up selling the car? I believe that is my car now. I bought it from seattle finest motors a few months ago.
No, it's still roaming Scottsdale
Lol stock sounds better, with that exhaust sounds like a Maserati.
I like it!
X pipe needs to go, that signature famous amg sound is gone
That’s why we love it, definitely a much different tone
Nice ride Nyla. I think the exhaust is good. I'm considering this one or Eisenmann race.
Thank you, let’s us know! Sales@ffperformance.co
@@FunctionFactoryPerformance you realize x pipes mess up the sound of this car right? And you got two of them? Lol bad setup
@@multiblade04 Thanks for your input! We think it sounds incredible.
@@FunctionFactoryPerformance of course it’s gonna sound good with anything cause it’s a m156 6.2L 🤣 but H pipe is much better than a X pipe for keeping original AMG grunt.
A lot of people go and change their X pipe for a H pipe from stupid previous owners that think X is the way to go. The stock system has a H in it and I think Mercedes’ that designed it knows what’s best.
And no one puts TWO X pipes, that is stupid 🤣🤣 if I bought this car I’d pay again for another shop to get the exhaust properly fixed. One H pipe only and that’s it.
@@FunctionFactoryPerformance If you Do LTH no cats and resonator swapped with H with stock mufflers. You’ll have better sound for 1/5th the money than this dual X pipe straight piped overpriced ipe back box.
Stock actually beats aftermarket
In person, the Fi is epic.
These videos are getting really high quality. Great job FFP 👏
Thanks a ton!

Very nice sound here.. the x pipe definitely gives it that exotic tone. Do you think this kit would work on the 5.5l na v8 (m273 engine)?
Thank you, I agree. This kit is only designed for C63 chassis.
@@FunctionFactoryPerformance I was wondering if a similar setup or a custom install of this would sound any good on the m273 since it’s also an NA v8.
