  • The RC Model Geeks just got a Taranis X9E so we thought we would show you how to flash the receiver using your transmitter.

nice video ! Quick Question. I live in UK and I just ordered a RTF kit from USA. I assume it comes with non-EU firmware. What would happen if I fly them without changing to EU firmware ? THX

Hi ! Thanks for the video ! Everything is working fine for me until 6:22 : when I press Enter I don't have all the options, I just have the "Delete" option. Do you have any idea of how to fix this ? Thanks in advance :)

I have OpenTX 2.0.20 on my old Taranis. The only option I get with the receiver firmware is "delete". Have I just bought a bunch of receivers I cannot use?

a bit puzzled as to why you flashed the tx and rx to non eu as the new LBT feature is about 10% better signal and more stable RF signal?

+Norman Stewart Mainly backwards compatibility because i didn't want to replace all my old FRsky Rx's. Which have given great performance way beyond their published spec ;o)

I think the Non EU version is FCC and the EU is CE power for the TX and RX. So greater increased power and range.
Thanks for the Video it is most useful. Liked and Subscribed.

+Casper van Eersel Maybe you have an earlier version of firmware on your transmitter? Earlier versions of tx firmware do not have the feature! :o)

You've probably solved this by now but you need to make sure the file which you load onto your SD card is a .frk file. Mine downloaded as .rar file so I "unrar'd" it and then it worked fine
