Thank you all so much for the kind words. Really happy you all liked it. For those curious the tone is from my Kemper, using in built effects and a Michael Britt Matchless profile
Beautiful piece of music bud! full of emotion & ambiance, I love the little interludes guitarists come up with. Very intimate and personal.. Cheers Mate!
Rabea. I’ve written once before (weight loss vid), but I am inspired to write now as well. I’m 40something years old. I’ve loved music my whole life. I play guitar and have been inspired by everyone from Schenker to Van Halen to Blackmore, etc. You, my friend, are one of the best, most original players/songwriters I’ve heard in a long long time. Thank you. I’m glad I found you here. You seem like a good person too, which is severely lacking in this day and age. I wish you nothing but the best. Thank you for being an inspiration in many ways. Cheers.
Rabea..Such an inspiration.I just recently lost my big Brother and man I could only dream of playing this. How and the hell did I miss this one...BRAVO! God what a beautiful tone and melody..BRAVO!
imo from all the young guitarists out today, this is the one who has it all! speed, melody, and most importantly for me, the feel... I can feel the vibe and heart of this guy in my stomach when he plays... my favorite guitarist today by far!! thank you for all the great tunes man! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Could be, but these sound an awful lot like the Timeline and Big Sky together (I own both). They add a subtle but wonderful color to your tone which increases its ambience, whereas the Boss stuff is more neutral and doesn't color your tone at all (from what I've seen in videos; I don't own any Boss pedals). Personally, I prefer the Strymon stuff since I think the Boss pedals sound a bit too sterile.
It depends on what you're looking to do. If you're just looking for a single delay type and never intend to delve into any of the other options, then probably not (even though each of its delays sounds stellar, the price point's too high for just one). If you want to play around around with multiple different types of delay, then the answer is "absolutely, yes!". You can get everything from classic analog delays to sci-fi sounding effects (the latter with the filter, lo-fi, and ice settings, among others). As the icing on the cake, it's even got a 30-second looper to play with.
Bea, I think it’s safe to say you’re probably my biggest inspiration as a guitarist. I love artists like Misha Mansoor, Jason Richardson, Charles Caswell, Mark Holcomb, Mateus Asato, and the list goes on as there are many truly gifted individuals out here. However out of everyone I draw inspiration from, you’re at the top of the list. Your play style is reflective of lots of genres across the board and your mere approach to everything and the songs you create...it’s just very cool. You’re such a solid player and musician and I just wanted to let you know your work reaches and has an affect on people all over the place. Keep up the incredible work, Much love from Indiana ❤️
With the preponderance of talent on social media these days that puts my own attempts to play in the deep shade, I’m rarely moved to comment on a UA-cam video but that was like an out of body experience man. I’m not a religious person but you sir are blessed with a ferocious talent .
Brian Wilson - "One for the Boys" R.E.M - "Belong" Sinéad O'connor - "Nothing Compares 2 U" Cyndi Lauper - "Time After Time" Rabea Massaad - "Now & Then" This is one of my shortlists. Thanks for sharing, Rabea.
That is unbelievably beautiful. I've been trying hard to get myself into writing more chill and ambient riffs but my brain still wants to fill in all the gaps and make it sound more full. It's riffs like these that make me grab my guitar and try it out again and again, slowly but steadily improving into making something I really enjoy. Thank you for being one of those artists for me :)
Wow Rab...!!!...i have to say that as a thirty plus years playing guitar an other instruments an great guitar players i remember them for there own pocket of tricks an licks but all in all everyone alike will say when music moves brings to that place its amazing your frasing an melody was very wimsical an story like almost "Stairway to Heavenish"....bravo i like the composing side of u Rab....the slow hand an piano style fingering beatifully written....an no shredding needed...i would like to hear more if there is any in the progress for that little piece....👍👍👍👌👋👏it sounds like greeting the morning sunshine...in a spring morning
Thank you all so much for the kind words. Really happy you all liked it.

@Guillermo van Olst: then you need to hear Rabea playing Dulcet Thing: ua-cam.com/video/4DzvKhcmJPk/v-deo.html
Make more music like this.

Ambient solo playing, standing applause
At this point I can easily say that every time you touch a guitar you make music. Brilliant.
imo from all the young guitarists out today, this is the one who has it all!

Loving the ambient riffs Bea! Would be great to see the timeline/big sky patches you use
I'd second that. Was just about to type 'I'd love to see the R & D settings for that piece'
Pretty sure he uses the Boss equivalents at home...

Matt W. I was looking at getting a timeline. Is it worth the money?

Everytime I see Rabea in the sun box, I click without hesitation. I always come away inspired to play guitar and just create in general. Thanks Rabea.

What a beautiful sound! Massive, yet defined.
The playing reminded me a bit of Neil Schon's "3191". Really lovely.
