Diva Dance: The Impossible Performance from The Fifth Element at The Los Angeles Theatre (by SIREN)

- In the opera song in The Fifth Element, composer Eric Sierra intentionally wrote difficult and un-singable parts to create an alien-like sound. When opera singer Inva Muls auditioned for the role, she was able to sing 85% of the technically impossible parts, with the remaining parts being edited in the studio.

The original singer from the movie said that these notes were to rapid to be humanly possible and yet I've seen a few professionals nail it except for that one literally impossible butterfly note.
Mayne daunting as she was basically being asked to sing the song which was new to her. People now have seen the original performance and have practiced more

Et autrement la vidéo est vraiment très belle.

You perform the ENTIRE piece amazingly. And you sing it correctly! You sing Ah's, Ha's, and Hah's...not just Ah's which lends to that synth sound and not just an operatic sound. Your tone is gorgeous as well!

It was deemed “impossible” at the time it was written, similar to how our society once thought running a four minute mile was impossible. Once it was broken, our limits of controversial thinking was altered and then many exceptional runners were able to break the 4 min mile after that set a new benchmark mark.

Listen, she's good, has great control and range, but, no matter what, no one has been gifted with a better instrument than Dimash and that just can't be changed, even IF another singer could be more trained or dedicated than Dimash it couldn't account for the biology of his voice

Dimash sounds better, but he flattens many of the abrupt tone changes. This is technically a better interpretation.
you didnt quite get the lower notes, but a soprano cant. That was 99.9% perfection, it was said it couldnt be done, you did it, well done so well done!!!!!! And the costume was awesome too!

The voice is beautiful, pity you didn't learn the lyrics to the 1st part ( from Lucia Di Lamermoor). and still no one has sung this better than Joan Sutherland.... The original aria is 16 minutes long with much harder music than Eric Serra's computerised version.

Good work on the top end, but not nearly as deep as the original. The staccato notes could also be a lot flatter, more chirpy. (Yes, I can do the piece, but with even greater range than the original...apparently, I am not human).
I love how you're on here saying "good job but I can do it better." It's rude. Not to mention all you have is footage of a screen recording sound from a year ago. You aren't even in it. And being able to make a very high note does not equal you being able to sing the ENTIRE piece.
@@mahelaniarektbb I don't really care if you think I'm "it" or not, I expect the piece to be done with at least some range. She's all high notes which means she has never practiced into the lower end, which means it's FAR EASIER to do. There are a TON of fantastic female performers who can do this piece if they just stay on the top end. That's not the challenge of the piece, the challenge is moving between very low and very high notes fluidly. And honestly, I've never heard anyone be able to do that as well as I can. This piece is not a priority for me, but I have definitely made several recordings of it. The vocalise isn't difficult but I'm not about to release half the piece, as some have. I admittedly have a little trouble with the pronunciations of the words because I'm not familiar with the language, I am getting better though. AGAIN: By only staying in the top end, the piece is made much much much easier, especially for a trained female vocalist.

Not the worst, but also not the best version of this song. But the disrespectful and cheap looking "pole dancer" outfit to sing such a masterpiece... I just cannot comprehend who made that horrible decision. Yayks. What she wants to be liked for? Her singing talent or showing her body? She should make the decision the sooner, the better. She is fit, has a great body, but she can show it too in something worth one of the greatest songs of all. 🤗
Dimash. Live at Bastau. After performing for hours...and he was perfect. Also, he wasn’t dressed like this. You lack projection and vocal force. Nope, I absolutely cannot sing this. But a MAN does this glorious composition, without disrespecting the beauty of the entire song and its meaning by wearing next to nothing. As is done here. Shame.

The only shame here is you. She's at a party where everyone is dressed in couture outfits. She's fully covered. You know what Diva Plavalaguna wears during her performance in the movie? A collar. Fluff in red with little technique. Doesn't do any justice to the song or Inva's interpretation. She does hit a couple of staccato highs, but nothing out of common. The filming clearly aims to showcase a sexy girl under the guise of a vocal genius. Well, she is not, and if you are a musician or vocalist you know it.
