Art is for Everyone: Moonrise over Lake

- Art is for Everyone! These sweet little projects are meant for absolute beginners to watercolour. So many of us have the desire to paint and be creative, but don’t have the time to spend learning in a more traditional way. These projects will get you painting with beautiful results :) Remember that we are not going for realism, but for the illusion, the feeling, of capturing our subjects with watercolours. Perfection does not enter the experience :) So, relax, enjoy the process and the beautiful materials, and have fun!
I hope you enjoy painting along with me. Be sure to tag me on Instagram @kateriewing, or send to me on Facebook at Kateri Ewing - Watercolours. I love seeing how you use the lessons to create your own art!
And... you can now join me on Patreon! Visit www.patreon.com/kateriewing for all the fun details :)

What a great lesson! I’ve been away and haven’t gotten to paint, this will be a fun one to try tomorrow. Just watched for today.
I have painted this view so many times
I often just look first time and get a first feeling and sometimes I look twice before I also paint, I have some issues with concentration on two things at the sam time.
Beautiful Kateri! I have not had much time on internet lately but this was a nice treat for me to start this week. I have been very busy working on a wood project in the work shop while weather is nice. and yard work. I really like how well you blend your colors. Hugs have a great day,
Hugs back to you! And it's always here for when you are ready... but please make time to paint :) Even ten minutes for a watercolour meditation or a Dandelion Lesson1
Ahhh. I know that lake well, took the kids camping there many years back. There were bears running through the sites since the open dumping law was finally enforced so bears used to human smells and trash were all over the campgrounds looking for the trash they had been raised on. Now I live in the hill towns of Washington County, foothills of the Adirondacks which begin a bit further north, so many lovely areas right here that inspire painting. Our ponds here on our farm and in the surrounds are a deep dark green or gray, hard to capture it but your mix comes pretty close. I will paint along later when my pain pills kick in, not having such a good day but painting will help. Thanks for doing what you do, it goes beyond painting.
Maybe one day we can meet at Raquette for dinner! Love that you know the ADK so well. ❤️❤️

do you ever do videos with your sennelier paints???? I wish ypu could...miss them...thanks for doing these
I have done a couple, but honestly I do not use them very often. However... they are lovely and I will keep that in mind for this week's lesson :)
This is Gorgeous!!! I can’t wait to try it. A few minutes into the video I noticed that my African Grey Parrot, Indy, was really interested in the video and then I realized why. Either you have a parrot also or your smoke alarm needs new batteries lol. It’s a sound my parrot makes daily so we have to check our smoke alarm regularly. Thanks for this wonderful lesson. As always, With Much Love and Respect, Stacy
P.S. I wanted to give you the heads up that I have two UA-cam channels, this one and the one under Ladyshadow79. That way if my comments seem familiar you will know why. I use this one for my grandkids, kids and pets.
I’m afraid that is my smoke alarm and my husband fixed it! Sorry about that. How funny! And I recognised your name, Stacy ❤️ But I reallly love LadyShadow. What a great name!
Kateri Ewing Awww, thank you! It was a name I use to use when I wrote stories as a kid a long, long time ago lol. And you don’t have to apologize about the smoke alarm at all, it actually made me smile! It’s a running joke in our home because of our parrot. Of course he sounds like a million other things as well, such as a flushing toilet, an adult coughing, and even a few curse words that were just built right into him because of his previous situation when we rescued him. He also sounds like a police scanner because of his prior homes. Anyways, thanks for another awesome video! I can’t wait until the next one. 🙂
Love it. And thank you!
@@kateriewing Hah I almost went looking for my smoke alarm when I heard that "chirp"!
