I love having someone that can show everyone how to do something in a fun, realistic and interesting way that keeps people watching even if they’re never going to do this, such as me
This is great. Most sound and music tutorials will assume that either I've never touched a computer in my life or that I already know everything about the subject of the video.
Thank you! I am taking my last university course on contemporary art and the final project for it was to create something in a medium that we learned about and I really enjoyed the mashups you have done (revenge against vanessa carlton!). Right now I am working on a lil mashup for the final project and your vid is really helping me in figuring it out, Thanks again!!
on wether or not this "sucked balls" I would have to say I would rather watch any tutorial from you than probably a big professional, you definitely make things easier to understand and fun to listen to
Hey, just found your channel thru the wack ass YT algorithm (thank you 3am youtube browsing) and I'm already a huge fan of other mashup artists like William Maranci and (of course) Neil Cicierega, and I'm excited to add you to the list! (That means you got a sub btw) You're also the first person who's ever made a tutorial on how you actually make your tracks, which is amazing. I already own FL studio, and would be very interested in trying my own hand at this, but whenever I search for multitracks, or stems, or accapella, I can't ever find any that aren't super sketchy sites riddled with hentai ads and virus links that never lead anywhere, or are just covers and not by the actual artist. For example, let's say I want to make a mashup where the base track (the instrumental) is rock you like a hurricane by the scorpions. If I search for instrumentals, all I get are covers and imitations. If I search for multitracks, I find nothing (except maybe the sketchy sites). Stems is also a dead end, as well as acapella. Every time I've ever been like "yeah I can do this, this is something I could do!" I get roadblocked at step one. I don't understand how people find these stems. If this isn't a simple answer that could fit in a YT comment, I would also greatly appreciate if you could make a followup tutorial video on this, as I'm sure I'm not the only one having this issue. Appreciate your memes, and looking forward to more!
Thanks for the tutorial. I was able to do a mashup fairly easily on my first go. The two songs has the same keys, so i didn't have to worry about that. The difference in tempo was 135 and 126pbm. I had to change the second song from 126 down to 111-114, and play around a bit, for the project to work. Not sure if this is the right thing to do?
Thank you, this was incredibly helpful! It would be amazing to see more. In particular, I would love to see some more tricks you do to refine the tracks even further. I realize there are general mixing and mastering tutorials out there but seeing you maybe do a full real project from start to finish with commentary would be super helpful. I'm an experienced musician but am completely new to mashups and working with any DAW so every little tip is golden at this point BTW, just found your channel. Your mashups are fantastic! Inspiring me to try my hand at it.
This is actually really well made, and a helpful tutorial! Does Fruity Loops cost anything? And if so is there a free program that can be used instead?
Thanks, I'm glad to hear that! Yeah it does, the cheapest version is about £90 (about $115?) so it is a bit of an investment. Here's a list of free DAWs though, I think most of them should be more or less capable of doing all of this producelikeapro.com/blog/free-daws-best-available-2018/ I'll add that to the description also actually!
There is demo version, it can't save a project but can export to mp3 or other audio file.. almost all feature (especially for doing mashup, like insert audio file and edit it, add other instruments, etc) is available, only some fancy plugins like guitar effect that is not fully available in the demo version.
Cheers for the video lad tried and attempted to do a remix but no matter what video I watch or whatever I just can't get the 2 songs I want to flippen mashup, Idk like Idk how people get it soo easy Like ive tried over 10 times or more and I just cant rap my head around what the hell to do
what does it mean when the bpm loses track in the rest of the sample this the problem I'm having ill find the bpm, fit the first beat on grid as best as possible and the metronome gradually gets off beat especially around the 13 bar. Same with sampling
How are mashups that replicates the beat of a song using one word/sound as beat made? For example, "Promenade" by Neil Cicierega, that remakes a classic music using the word "some".
This was perfect, and I would love more! I do stuff like this, but get frustrated when it comes to those details you described. I also love how humble mixed with knowledge is your teaching method. More please. Im currently trying to put a slugdge (yes spelling is right) with something silly, kind of similar to this.
could you tell me how to make vocals sound like a nother son/ vocodeing but without this wet sparkle effect. i want the vocals to all star hit the same notes to megalovania.
so the song I'm trying to do has a 115bpm but when I check both tracks they're both in the 50s - 90s and when I type in 115 to the autodetect it does fuck all plz help
Do you have any sort of tips for song that “slink” back and forth in terms of tempo? I find a lot of songs have an ebb and flow, so what I understand is that if you put the mode to stretch it helps. I’ve heard of auto helping keep pitch the same if you’re trying to do something like that but I’ve had a lot of confusion on the matter
*Hey bro we now need a video about how to make mashup like "skibidi dop but famous phone ringtones". I'm sorry for my English, maybe I wrote it wrong..*
im trying to make a nice mashup between Imagine dragons beliver and Rise feat. Glitch mob. if this helps me to get through, then im very greatfull to it
I love having someone that can show everyone how to do something in a fun, realistic and interesting way that keeps people watching even if they’re never going to do this, such as me
Me too✨
This is great. Most sound and music tutorials will assume that either I've never touched a computer in my life or that I already know everything about the subject of the video.

I wish that this was a subject in school! What? You thought I meant making mashups, oh no. The ladybug song. Yes. THAT SHOULD BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOL.
Great. I was surprised by the key matching tbh. Which is perfectly obvious now that you said it.
Liked and Subscribed because this was the best tutorial I've found and now my mashup dreams are a reality
Good job my guy- glad to see you got it all together. You did a ladybug of a job, doo doo doo :)
Thanks man! I think it's gonna be stuck in my head for the rest of the year, doo doo doo
@@groboclone Still stuck?
If only I didn't get ideas with more obscure songs... great tutorial, though!
Thank you! I was so sure it wasn’t ever gonna sound ok but that end bit fair enough 😂
This tutorial was VERY helpful. I managed to mashup All Stars with Nitro Fun - New Game. THANK YOU.
Thanks a lot! I also like your deadpan-ish humor. Subbed.

John Tremonti waddle around UA-cam and you can probably find it for free
be wary of the Indian channels, though.
Sail the high seas my friend, the bounty shall present itself to you posthaste :)
Or u can buy the cracked version off me for $15

Great, learned alot!
So if my instrumental is in B minor and my vocal in B major, I don't need to change anything in the pitch section right?
Those lyrics are so explicit
You should have mashed that vocal up with SOPHIE - Ponyboy.
Lady
(lady)
Bug
Do do do do do do do
Did u make another video for the songs i cant find on webs?? Yes im asking 5 years later
how did you do the part at 12:18
How are mashups that replicates the beat of a song using one word/sound as beat made? For example, "Promenade" by Neil Cicierega, that remakes a classic music using the word "some".
how do you deselect a command once you're done with it? i want to right click but it just deletes de clip i'm working on :(
Is there other websites to download good quality acapella and instrumentals
