Full Review: 2020 Sierra Denali CarbonPro Edition | The Coolest Half-Ton Truck?

- The 2020 GMC Sierra Denali is one of the most interesting full-size trucks with it's carbon fiber composite bed, multipro tailgate, tailgate audio system, and several other high end features that stand it apart from others in the class. Aside from the tech and gadgets, it is completely capable for truck duty with its towing and payload. Power is plentiful from the Sierra 6.2L V8 and it handles very well for a truck. Ride comfort is better than last generation but still not as good as some competitors, like the Ram for example. It's biggest weakness, IMO, is the interior when it comes to the center stack and mainly the unsupportive seats. Otherwise, truck buyers will be happy with this Sierra and with all of its features...it's truly one of the coolest and most unique full size trucks.

I've been watching your videos for the past couple years and it wasn't until this video where I noticed how much you've grown as a presenter.
Very little hesitation when checking off features or providing stats. You really knew your product. Very professional. You also weren't afraid to take GMC to task for poor seats and other features. This is exactly what I want to hear! I may or may not ultimately agree but it gives me something to pay attention to during a test drive that I might overlook.

i literally have this exact 2020 gmc denali carbon bro in this same color. Interior sucks compared to competition. absolutely comfortable for long rides. truck has a lot of power with 6.2 and gets amazing gas mileage at high speeds. when i tow 3k lbs. polaris rzr and trailer behind it... truck sags! not cool and on big bumps not towing you will feel rear end hit bump stops, suspension is too soft! but great truck one year and 15k hard miles and not one problem, all the fancy tech crap is pretty much useless, and truck is wide going through drive thru.. that being said i would happily buy it again and very easy to change your oil on it
Question... i'm looking for a new car for a teenager and i've looked at the chevy colorado and the honda civic hatchback sport, which do you see as a better daily driver for a teen boy.

Best looking rig aesthetically. Interior design is a bit blah. Like you said, functional but boring. Too bad really, the 6.2 deserves a complete package. Fine review my friend. How about doing a 2 door Wrangler Sport S? Seen your recent Sahara review and I like that one as well. But hardly anyone review the bottom tier wranglers, and a 2 door even less. I want the 6.2 but why is premium recommended? will the engine break down on 87 octane?
No, it’ll run on 87. You get all the power of the 6.2 on premium though
Wrong y’all, compression ratio is higher on the 6.2. If you run 87, it will knock which means the fuel is igniting early and can result in engine damage. Octane is a measurement of knock intensity vs a known reference fuel using a research and motor octane lab grade single cylinder engine. When fuel is blended, the lab engines alternate between the unknown blended fuel and the known fuel. Blends are adjusted to match peak knock intensity to ensure the correct octane is blended. Ok all that aside, the only difference between an 87 and 93 is its components. Some are as low as 70 octane and others are over 100. When blended, a certain octane is achieved. Some of these higher octane components cost more to refine so price is higher. Anyone using 93 on a vehicle requiring only 87 is wasting money. The other way around and you will damage engines.

I have the 2021 carbon pro. My wife has a 2020 model 3. I wish both had way better tech. Seems like car tech should be way ahead of where it is. The carplay sucks on mine. It keeps cutting off. Also, the seat vibration alert doesn’t work most of the time. Lastly, I wish it had a brake hold option at stop lights. I like that better than the shut off. I doubt the shut off saves any gas. When ur car starts up, the rpms crank up. Doesn’t that waste more gas than just being idle? :(
GM/GMC has always lagged behind regarding interior refinement. Ergonomically, the interior is good. Aesthetics/materials used are shameful. Brings me back to the C6 & C7 Corvettes. They had terrific engines, but their interior probably lost them many sales to the competition.
Would you guys go with the 6.2 litre or 5.3 litre??

Coil springs are way worse than leaf springs. Especially when towing
Coil can give a bounce effect when towing but with proper weight distribution that can be mostly eliminated.
Like anybody would ever take this off road. They just put 4x4 on it to jack up the price.
Total rip off, you better off with a ram.
