Thanks a lot for the video! I visited Norman in December 2011 from France, and I stayed in Embassy Suite Hotel, just 3 weeks but it was gratefull. I hope to go back again one time.
Awesome I’m so glad you got to visit!
My family is based in norman. Been here since late 80’s. I have moved out of state many times but always come back for family but I would never live in any other Oklahoma town or city other than Norman. I would’ve listed game day traffic as a con and road flooding as a con as opposed to no Trader Joe’s or big malls. But to each their own.
Thanks for the comment!
@@okrealtor How do you go about finding and sitting in lectures?
この動画は嬉しいです!今から30年前Norman Oklahomaに2ヶ月ですが住んでいました!とっても綺麗な街で!特に Oklahoma university is so beautiful!いま、英語をマスターしきれなかった自分を悔いて英語を勉強し直しています。
This video is happy 😃 30years ago I spent two months in the Norman Oklahoma It’s a very beautiful city University Oklahoma is also very very beautiful 😍 and people are kindly! I am studying English because I could not master English still now.and
Wow that’s amazing! It is beautiful!
Other pros include:
Distance to the airport/train. Train runs through Norman to Texas which you can catch another train in Ft. Worth and go other places in the US.
Will Rogers Airport is around 20 minutes depending on traffic. Direct flights offered to many major cities.
I-35 crosses completely through OK (north and south), as well as I-40 (east and west).
Dallas, TX is under 3 hours and so is Wichita, KS. Both easy drives...until you get to Dallas 😉.
Being a major university town, we are very diverse which makes Norman great!!
Of course Oklahoma hasn't had the best rankings (economy, education, health) as far as states go but, imo, Norman is the best place in Oklahoma to live and I'm a native Texan.
Btw we do have good health facilities but then again OU is a big medical school.
These are great points!
It works!😉
I love living here
Can’t forget about diamond dawgs.
It was GREAT in my opinion.
Diamond dawgs is good, and it’s on campus corner not downtown but definitely close!
Coriander closed :(
The Greek house is great!
I've been accepted to OU as a gradstudent and I'm currently looking for an apartment to stay at... I could really use some guidance on that front
Hi there! If you want to send me over an email I’ll help as best I can Marciebillen@kw.com
There are a lot of great restaurants in Norman. Of course you’re not going to have the selection like you do in a bigger city but there’s plenty of great places to eat! I don’t know what you’re talking about.
There are great places to eat, yes
Norman does have a Cost plus World Market though.
That’s true!
I live in norman
Thanks for commenting!
are there properties with land in Norman?
I'm looking here. Seeing some decent sized homes on acreage for under 400k.
There definitely are some good options!
I have been in and out of Norman since 95, Biggest con (after flooding) is TRAFFIC!!!!!! And it doesn't have to be this way. There is no rime or reason to its madness, Its like there is a red light every 100 yards and each one is a island all of itself. 1/2 the lefts you dont know if you are supposed to go or not (great for locals, maddening for tourists). It is like sometime in the past, someone had a grand plan & it got 1/2 done and then became obsolete & the only solution has been "Just ad more red lights" over the years. It doesn't have to be this way, Just get the lights to work in uniform together. But remember this is the same public works that a few Summers ago (2014??) had almost all East/West traffic blocked at some point with Lindsey (being Lindsey) Main/Robinson & Hwy 9/24th AND construction i think on the rock creek bridge.....I kid, I love Norman, But for Gods sake, do something about the red lights
It sometimes does take awhile to get across town, agreed
The freeways are extremely dangerous and poorly designed as well.
Moore is equally expensive. noble is better but farther away from hospitals etc. and okc is more affordable but also crime is higher
Appreciate you watching
I from Timor Leste🇹🇱
Awesome! Thanks for watching 😃
Is the budding film industry in OKC making a significant presence? I'm a filmschool student from Missouri and would like to move somewhere with more entertainment possibilities than Missouri has.
That is such an excellent question...I know of a couple companies but otherwise I'm not sure
population now is around 200k and homes are really high now. there is more demand than homes and even junky homes go for crazy prices. any home near ou is ridiculous expensive. and the further you are from town the cheaper it is but now they are talking about running a turnpike right thru town so this will affect availability as all those people will be displaced and be looking for homes...just sayin
I think you’ve got a few facts wrong here, maybe do some research
Homes are now double what they were when this video was made.....homes are crazy expensive,....
Not quite double, need to check numbers on that one
Growing up in Arizona, its extremely hard to find a single pro about Norman Oklahoma. Gotta make the best of it though, could always be worse.
Hahaha love it
Is Norman Conservative friendly?
Considering all five districts are Republican, I would say so. OK is very Republican friendly.
Norman is a university town. Very liberal. It reminded me of a smaller Austin.
It never occured to me in my life, and I still hold a drivers license, to pick on any pedestrian! Grow up!
Just shop at Aldi. Problem solved.
there are two. one east side off classen and one west side off main
What about racial and cultural diversity? How diverse is it?
Not much diversity. But, because of the university there is an amazing Nigerian community there! Amazing!
Can we blame Lincoln Riley leaving for LA? I think not
Hey! Whats with these people, trailing my bike i ride , to do my menial tasks! You CAN drive around! I get blocked off, too, by these arrogant idiots!
You are so ridiculously cute
Bicycle riders are hated hated and hated!
It can be tough to be a cyclist
