Well, believe it or not, Beauty and the Beast actually gets shown more often than Lion King... plus there's the whole live action version.

I love Hunchback of Notre Dame and definitely think it deserves more attention, but I didn't see it until adulthood and I kinda feel like it's less... for kids? It's fairly dark and has mature themes that would go straight over most younglings'' heads, so I'd imagine a lot of kids (at least young ones) would be either bored or scared watching it.

Basic Disappointment I studied Mandarin in grade school so multiple times a year we would all sit down and watch Mulan, and now, to this day, it is one of my favorite movies ever.
That moment when you feel old because you saw some of these in theaters.... when they came out.

Lanae A try most of them. Honestly the only ones I didn't see in the theatre were the later ones, because I was a teenager and thought I was too cool for kid's movies. I still half think of Hercules and Mulan as the 'newer' crop of Disney. Oliver and Company is the first movie I actually remember seeing in theatres, but I believe American Tail may have been the very first. I certainly sang Somewhere Out There the way preschoolers now sing Let It Go. I didn't know what a 'pamel light' was (I was an adult when I realized the lyric was 'pale moon light'), but I sang it with great passion!

I mean it's not bad, it's enjoyable , funny, characters are great (olaf is really god), and the morality of the story is not bad: be yourself, follow your dreams etc... but when I saw the movie I was like: "What, again?!" I felt like there were nothing else to make it special.
Fantasia, Bambi or even Robin Hood and many others were art. The only thing that would have taken the movie further is poetry, and there is no poetry in it. This movie is bland for me, that's why I didn't like it
