      Kaylie xoxo I am 100% sure that you don’t dance ballet or know much about because Misty Copeland one of the most talented ballerinas in the world! Her dancing is not awkward! She is dancing perfectly! Ballet is all about emotion and expressing yourself! So please, and I say this with all respect, please don’ t say this about any dancer because it can be really hurtful. Ballerinas -professionals or not- work very hard to be perfect. So just think again when you say something like that to a ballerina or anyone

    • @JuliaNature33
      @JuliaNature33 4 роки тому +12

      Sofia Peixeiro one doesn’t have to be a ballet dancer to see how awkward and heavy her dancing is, no expression because she probably pays to much attention to all the elements she is not good at, you can watch Nina Kaptsova in the same role for comparison I just watched Kapsova and then Misty it’s just another level of dancing, it’s absolutely nothing personal, just watch videos with some famous European ballerinas and you’ll see the difference

    • @sofiapeixeiro6867

      Юлия Тарасова look, everyone has different opinions but saying that? That is extremely offensive! Do you even do ballet? Do you know how hard ballerinas work every single day? Do you know what Misty Copeland has gone through? Do you know how dry single ballerina wants and is expected to be perfect?

      My ballet teacher used to say that a ballet pianist adjusts the tempo to suite a dancer (their style, their height). So it’s harder for students, who have to adjust their dancing to a music record, while at an actual concert, the conductor or pianist is watching the dancer and adjusting music to the dancers

    I love everyone in this comment section, you are all saying exactly what I'm thinking 😂 poor accompaniment, poor lighting, too small a stage, and likely the floor was not intended for pointe work (or dancing in general) so I wouldn't be surprised if she was limiting the amount of time she spent actually en pointe to protect her feet and joints. Surely the lady's got other gigs she needs to be in tip-top shape for. Still, a very skilled performance given the circumstances :)

    Not sure why people are complaining about the tempo when a Principal would be setting the tempo. Don’t you think they rehearsed together? The problem is the stage is tiny. Way too tiny. The traditional choreography has been changed so much I hardly recognize the variation. Those jetés at the end are usually pique turns en ménage. The accompanist did have a million slips - he seemed more nervous than she did. I’ve heard the tempo faster and slower. Another odd thing - every time there’s a UA-cam with a Misty dancing the comments are turned off.

    Only in America is this possible . Tell the media a tearful story about the difficult fate of the girl and the next morning she woke up famous . And the fact that the girl grew up and became a mediocre dancer with disfigured legs and technique does not bother anyone . And the Americans believed that she was perfect . But the truth is that no one wants to see this perfection in the famous European and Russian corpses, because with such a dance, she belongs in the cardebalet in the back row . I feel sorry for the girl, sorry for her crippled legs from improper activities . Her attempt at 37 years to fix the technique will not help .
