Me too. My wife was in the other room and said my playing has really improved. I just let it go and did not share it was a demo. This will open the door to getting one of these GT's in the music room.
Sorry to be off topic but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
For about half an hour in a Guitar Center, I tried the Taylor Gte Urban Ash, and it was awesome. Reminded me of the 000-17e from Martin. Both are shorter scale and a little more resonant due to less lacquer (or what I call "shinyness").
Hey, I've been meaning to buy a new guitar and I really like the GT's body size because it's small enough that it's comfy but big enough that I has some depth and loudness Do you know any other 7/8 steel string guitars with good quality that would be under $600? I can only find classical ones. Thanks!
Has kind of a high clangy trashcan sound. But I don’t think that’s the guitar it could be the light strings they have on it. I understand they put light strings in this one amd not medium like they did on the GS mini
Doesn't sound too bad strummed in this video -- I've seen videos demoing this guitar and when someone picks it it's sweet, but when they strum it it gets distorted. I was wondering if it was the guitar or their sound system.
God that es2 sounds horrible especially with heavier strumming on pretty much any Taylor guitar. I don't understand how Taylor has stuck with it for so many years now. It's just not good and it seems a ton of consumers agree cause I always see others complaining about it too.
Any piezo pickup needs a little help regardless if it’s a Taylor ES2 or any other. Any experienced acoustic player knows that Microphone and or combination pickups are really good out of the box. However, the ES2, with a preamp and or an IR is a legit great setup with low feedback problems. In the world piezo pickups it’s the best one. Horrible, no, it just needs a little help. Taylor’s are some of the best acoustic guitars and ES2 pickups ain’t bad.
I play these videos real loud so my neighbor will hear it and think it's me playing.
Is she nice?

@Tristan Dash instablaster :)
Wow Jack! Tremendous playing! And the guitar sounds great too...
Awesome playing! I’m surprised the guitar didn’t catch on fire!

Great Performance !! Great guitar !!
Great review!
It would be informative to hear a comparison to a comparable Martin guitar.

I think GT would be most popular guitar ever at a cheaper price point. The value of GS Mini seems better. Also look forward to other tone woods.

I think they put 12's on them I have 13's on my GS mini and I love them.
its cj100 from collings, right?
Ffs he played the shit out of that thing. Sounded great
Is this particular model made in USA?
Yup

Shocking that the pickup sounds better than the microphones. Must be some poorly set up microphones.
for picking it sounded great.. for strumming not so good..
I agree...sounds like they actually changed mic position or something during those heavy strumming portions to try and mask that...
agree

Buy one without es 2, install your favourite ones. Or, don't buy Taylor guitar. Get Maton or Martin, Gibson or Guild. Easy. No complain necessary.
