Edgar, Charmed Groom would honestly be pretty great in the 99 of this deck because it boosts the vampires you cast and makes more should someone want to get rid of if.
Static effects of Rhystic study and Esper Sentinel stacks on everyone's turns, you may decide to pay four if you think you drew enough during your opponents end steps, pay 4 life, get some tokens. Wheels, pay 4 life, tokens, x spell, pay 4 life, x tokens. Such a sweet commander!
In regards to the psychosis crawler, the rule that causes a creature with zero toughness to die is called a state based action. They are effects that are checked directly before someone would gain priority(have the option to cast an instant). At the moment where psychosis crawler has no toughness, nobody has priority and can cast spells.. if there was priority, you would be able to cast the spell after the opponent had discarded their hand and before they draw. Long and short of it, there are times where toughness is "checked" and the middle of a wheel is not one of those times.
Seems good in the 99 of Raffine just for that last ability. By the time you can play this card Raffine is usually conniving for more than 4 and each token that survives can connive even more on the following turn
huh, that's an interesting one. I was actually looking to build a go wide commander, wasn't expecting to get one in esper that's pretty cool. Might just look into it
Because the wheel spell must finish resolving completely before state based actions are checked psychosis crawler lives through a wheel well as long as you end with cards in your hand at resolution. The game checks for state-based actions every time a player would get priority. If state-based actions are performed, the game repeats this process until no further state-based actions are performed before the player actually gets priority.
I'd recommend Sword Coast Sailor and Agent of the Shadow Thieves to protect your commander when it attacks, to ensure you can keep attacking every turn. Absolutely essential for any blue or black commander with an attack trigger you want to use multiple times.
with all that Wheels I would consider Toluz, Clever Conductor since she stores all your discarded cards for you so you can get them back by sacrificing her to the altar and maybe instead of sheoldred if you don´t have the budget for it use Queza Augur of Agonies instead since it´s basicly the same effect but just 1 Life you gain and target opponent looses one life
I'd honestly day just discard. With black there is a lot of cards that love when you discard and with white and blue shuffling graveyard into library is stupid easy.
I really do like the flavour they put on a lot of these new cards, but damn if this is the level of power we are seeing going forward, I can only imagine what kind of cards we will start seeing withing the next year or two.
I feel like this has even more potential with black blue zombies and both sheoldreds could add crazy value to this deck. Laboratory maniac could also be another win con for this deck if u self mill
Don't forget Alhammarret's Archive, turns any cheap cantripy spells into big gains and the token lifegain gets doubled so never at risk of dying by damage really
I'm shocked you didn't mention Curiosity Crafter. Whenever a creature token you control deals combat damage to a player, draw a card. And lord knows you're making a buttload of tokens, then those tokens hitting draws you cards...which makes even more tokens
I want to say you pay 4 life to activate the ability as cost, which then triggers Vilis. Vilis resolves and draws 4, and you'll then resolve E&A, making X+4 where X is the amount you drew before Vilis.
@@DM-Oz Jace was totally justified in judging the Sphinx that orchestrated his shitty job, Vraska’s abuse, the wreckage of at least 3 planes due to his new legal systems and the multiple civilizations on Ixalan that fell due to the immortal sun.
I have an Azor deck and I think this is not as good. His ETB prevented removal making it better than ward and his card draw just gains you life directly.
Elenda: Pls help us
Azor: I can't. Spark gone
Elenda: These guys have multiversal travel
Azor: *_LET'S FCKIN GO_*

This card pretty much convinced me to get the Knight precon, this and the new Horsemanship creature, they look so crazy fun to play with.
I feel like they missed the opportunity to give us more 4 color commanders
We desperately need new partners
It’s hard to introduce them into a standard legal/draft format ig
@Voidwalker you're probably right but they do a whole commander set with cards not even in the decks too.
A 5 color knight commander would be cool
@@jamallynch1218 pretty sure wizards said they weren’t making any new partners bc it was getting too busted
I cannot wait to build this!
Nice!

I was thinking of building this as a weird / funny knight tribal "Knights Who Say Ni" deck... now I'm just thinking of building it fully.
I'd recommend Sword Coast Sailor and Agent of the Shadow Thieves to protect your commander when it attacks, to ensure you can keep attacking every turn. Absolutely essential for any blue or black commander with an attack trigger you want to use multiple times.
Imagine having divine visitation out while you're abusing that 2nd effect after drawing a lot of cards...that'd be a lot of Angels.
So Azor is back in the multiverse (maybe if he enters Realmbreaker). Wizards utilizing a new planeswalking character.
That would be cool
Kindred discovery would be bonkers in this! xD
Queza, Augur of Agonies would have fun working with this

both arts of Decanter of Endless water are definatly budget. what are you talking about? they are both at 10 cents at most here in Europe.
I got elenda and azor in a box, along with elephant norn and multiverse legends vorinclex.
Crossway Troublemakers would work extremely well with this commander. Can’t wait to come up with fun strategies with this deck.

So, what do you think of this for vampire tribal?
I already have my raffine zombie deck, I guess I found a new commander for it!
I guess I've decided which precon I'm buying

There's also the benefit of no maximum hand size.
2 cards you could add as a combo is “even the score” from new capena and “plagiarize”
How would their last ability work with Vilis, Broker of Blood?
I want to say you pay 4 life to activate the ability as cost, which then triggers Vilis. Vilis resolves and draws 4, and you'll then resolve E&A, making X+4 where X is the amount you drew before Vilis.
@@SMXanathar my hope is that’s the case. It’d be a bit tough to justify the 8 drop, otherwise.
What about Teferi's puzzle box
Hmm… i might have to swap my “zur eternal schemer” commander with Elenda… interesting
does this work with lucea??
My queza deck would love this
Partners? i think you mean (card) room mates
I wanna know how Azor got around the Verdict of the Living Guild pact. Can Azor actually leave the Useless island?
Niv Mizzet is the Living Guildpack now and Jace is compleated is my best guess. That or Wizards forgot!!
I hope so. "Go and stay in that useless island" is the stupist shit ever, wtf Jace

I have a Kwain deck that could almost just fit for this commander lol
Peer into the abyss
yep. that's esper wheel
Kwain might be good here.
id build this as knight tribal
Built a deck with them. Can win turn two. Whoops commander is suppose to be slow
Raffine will love this 😈
this is how a esper draw token deck should be.

I was waiting for the Ancient Silver Dragon but remembered that he's expensive af💀😭
I think I broke Skullclamp.
Skullclamp helps you double your tokens every turn.
Omg actually exciting, love it
Consecrated sphinx lullllllllll. At least 2 vamps a turn.
Marneus calgar's best friend(s)
Teferi's Puzzle Box anyone?
Soul warden
Too slow
Atraxa better
TOO EXPENSIVE AN UPKEEP AND USEAGE!!!
And no green so how are you gonna ramp up to pay for it?
@@Zacon2mlg turn 0 and wheels
Mid
True to expensive for cdh all the had to do was make it a 4/4 for 3 would have made it playable
