It's sad that her mother cared more about the money they would lose if the wedding was called off like Karen wanted, than about what Karen was feeling when this fortune hunter revealed that he couldn't father children after having a vasectomy and he didn't tell her that until just a few days before the wedding. And Karen wanted a family, then he went through all her money. This guy was a asshole to her during their marriage, calling her a Bag of Bones and other demeaning things, and when she died, he tossed his wedding ring into her coffin. What a jerk.
Why didn't she just run far away. She was hurt enough in her life. I never knew what I am reading here right now. So sorry Karen. U deserved much better
She married that clown for one reason and one reason only and that is that her mother told her to. Her mother out now told her that now that the invitations were sent there was no backing out. Wrong. You can back out right up to the point of saying I do or I don't. And in this case that's exactly what I would have done in front of all those people I would have said I do not take this man. Better that than the stress that was already on that poor girl's frame. @Deangelo Ty thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
That's undoubtedly because Karen's mother Agnes was such a damn control freak she insisted on having a role (notice how when the vicar asked who gave her away, her father Harold said he AND her mother did?) The traditional marriage ceremony has only one person give the bride away - her father if he is living and a substitute if not. The bride is never given away by two people! Ghastly Agnes wanted a piece of the action. That woman has a lot to do with her daughter's lack of confidence and the anorexia she developed that killed her 3 years after this.
@Glamdolly30 - I might not have been popular then , but I was at 2 weddings in the last 5 years ( before Covid) . Both the bride and groom’s parents walked their children down the aisle, it wasn’t a “control “ issue with this family.? . The first wedding was my cousin’s son, 2nd was her daughter. And also “her mother and I” they said as well .
@@mjj1434 Interesting. Which country are you based in? Here in the UK that's not something I've ever heard of, and certainly isn't traditional. As far as I'm aware the father giving away the bride is an age-old tradition across many if not most cultures and countries. Clearly the original poster wasn't familiar with what we saw on the video either, ie the bride's two parents giving her away, as happened at Karen Carpenter's 1980 wedding. However, 40 years on, modern weddings often deviate from the conventional, in all kinds of ways! Back in 1980 when this particular wedding took place, I suspect it was very rare for mom to join dad in that most traditional aspect of the Christian wedding service, giving the bride away (to her groom). My original comments were specifically about Karen Carpenter's wedding, and her mother Agnes's well-documented controlling behaviour. Agnes ruled the family, and by all accounts her influence played a significant role in Karen's lifelong self-esteem issues and anorexia. From what I have learned about Agnes Carpenter, it is entirely unsurprising she wanted a bigger role at her daughter's wedding than just as 'mother of the bride'. She got that by joining Karen's father at the altar, and giving her away. I'm only surprised she didn't insist on walking poor Karen down the aisle too!
@@mjj1434 in the last 5 years? The wedding in this video happened 42 years ago, and no. In 1980, mothers and fathers don't stand on the altar with the couple getting married. That, in and of itself, is odd. And no, the father gives his daughter away. It's 1980 here, not 2022. Big difference. Agnes was a control freak times a thousand.
If this was a Hollywood movie and not real life, Karen would rescue herself and her true love would be waiting for her at the entrance to ride away with her on the back of a bus. Thank you. Beautiful video.
I loved her singing so much. The relationship she had with Richard was so precious never has their been any singers who could come near them. Their group n music will live forever n I hope Karen is singing with the Angel's in heaven . She had a amazing gift so sad she had a short sad life .till the day I die I'll love their music noone can touch them.
Her voice -- known for its emotion -- sounds flat and devoid of feeling as she marries Burris. Instead of joyful, she appears reticent -- resigned, perhaps, to the futility of her situation. She looks like an obedient child reciting her vows, 'taking her medicine' for the sake of keeping the peace. She lived for the day she would marry someone who would love and cherish her -- and all she got was a halfwit that had no interest in preserving her life. A tragedy for Karen and a travesty for those that wanted to see her thrive for years to come.
Well said, this video is heartbreaking. Karen should have been marrying her soulmate. A wonderful man who loved her unconditionally could literally have saved her life. I believe this chump hastened her death, which came just two and a half years later, after he had caused her so much misery and heartache.
I feel sad watching her wedding. I was only 10 months when she died. But I love all her songs because my parents keep on playing her songs in our home since I was a child.
come on guys, Richard isn't that bad a singer. :( he is talented and his song was loving for his sister despite the terrible thing the union ended up to be.
Again thank you so much! So glad I'm getting to see her wedding in full, Karen is so beautiful in this and Richard's rendition of The Wedding Prayer is beautiful as well!
meeha007 "The Little Girl Blue" book is something you should really read if you are interested in Karen's life & her music. Randy Schmidt did an excellent job getting interviews from her best friends & those who had a lot of access to her. I don't usually take books about people just at face value but Randy put several pages of his sources in the back of the book. From the things I read, saw or heard before, his book is really on target. Many of the quotes he got from people were actually what they said. I know this from seeing the Carpenters & other's interviews. Most people when they're interviewed seem to give rehearsed answers or the interviewer edits them. There is one radio show that devoted time to talking about Karen because it would have been her 50th birthday. He talks about what she was like (as he knew her) played her songs, & also played some interviews he'd had with her in 1976. It was so great because Karen sounded so relaxed & at ease with him as if he were just a friend who stopped by to chat. It was just so great to hear her voice & hear her crack jokes. I'll share just one thing...he asked her what she was looking for in a husband & she said she " had a list right there...but I'd have to stand up in case it reaches the floor." Anyway type into youtube "Karen Carpenter's 50th Birthday" & I'm sure you'll find it. Just about everybody in Randy's book talked about how down to earth she was & this radio interview proves it. She will be 65 on March 2nd. It should be interesting what the media will do with that landmark!
Can you please share something about the wedding thing? Why's everybody seems so sad about it? Sorry, I don't know much about Karen's personal life. :)
!st...Tom when introduced to Karen said he didn't recognize her. She said "Have you been living under a rock for the past 10 yrs?" She thought he was well to do which was important to her because she wanted someone who loved her for her not her $. She didn't hear from him for a couple days & thought oh well...He then showed up, they dated & got engaged. Before the wedding, Tom told her he'd had a vasectomy. This was devastating to Karen as she wanted very much to have a family. She adored kids..was Godmother to her best friends. twins. She immediately called off the wedding but mom forcefully told her she would walk down the isle...invitations were sent, people from all over were coming. They were only engaged 3 mos. She went so far as to ask another couple to on their honeymoon with them & then cut the honeymoon short to gt back home. The marriage was a disaster...she found out he had no money of his own & often asked for 10's of thousands of dollars at a time. So there was a lot of sadness at her wedding...mostly for her! Karen was a wonderful, kind ,caring, loving person from all I've read & the info didn't just come from authors...friends also said the same privately & publicly. If you don't know much about her personal life...you really should look into the person she was & not just the star. "Little girl Blue" by Randy Schmidt is an excellent book. He wrote it on his own doing much research & talking to intimate friends of Karen's who would not talk before. He also was not restricted as to what he could say as Ray Coleman was by Richard Carpenter. But Ray's book is very good as well. She had "THE VOICE" & no other singer has ever come close & many of today's artists credit her for inspiring them. Great singer, great person, tragic loss.
In general, Tommy Burris was a fraud and a liar and used her for her money. He was vasectomized and never told Karen about it. She married him, thinking she was going to be able to have a normal married life. Considering her anorexia condition, she likely wouldn't have been able to get pregnant: too thin and once you drop below a certain body weight and have a very low percentage of fat, you stop having your periods. Anorexic patients are also resistant to pregnancy: Pregnancy "makes" you gain weight and that's the last thing they want: A weight gain.
There was no chemistry between Karen and her husband... you can tell when a woman and man look at each other, wink, are connected... these two were not.... I've been to many weddings and you can just 'tell' when a couple is meant to be... these two were not.
Qué feliz se veía ....si hubiera sabido lo que le esperaba.... merecía mucho más ella era un Ángel y cantaba como nadie. Qué Dios la tenga a Su lado ❤🌹🇦🇷
She didn't smile a whole lot but kind of laughed at "for better or worse" and "in sickness and in health". oh how I wish she had the strength to stick to her guns when she wanted to call off the wedding
Why would she do that when she didn't want to disappoint her mother or whoever thought she would finally be happy and have her dream come true? Maybe it crossed her mind that he could fall in love with her or that he might come into reason and seriously see her as a wife, I don't know. There's also a bit of pride involved, moving forward with dignity. Anyone would think she was finally 'free' when they broke up but that was just more fuel for her sadness and ironically the divorce was to be completed the day she died.
That must be down to Karen's controlling, Godawful mother Agnes wanting a piece of the action. The bride is supposed to be given away by one person only, her father if he's alive and a substitute if he is not. But when the vicar asked "Who gives away this woman" Karen's dad says he and her mother do! That is ridiculous and goes against the correct wedding ceremony. Poor Karen, no wonder she was so messed up with a mother like that. Her parents had always idolised Richard and thought he would be the star. Agnes in particular couldn't believe it when Karen became the lead singer and star of The Carpenters - she had never rated her because she was a girl.
If I didn't know or think I know so much about this family, I would love this video. Must say that despite what I think of Richard he sang beautifully and probably was the best support that he **could** be for his sister. I think those two were up against a shrewish controlling domineering mother from hell and that had things been different we'd still be enjoying Karen's totally once in a lifetime voice. As I said I think I know and have read the book that wasn't under Richard's total control.
Karen wasn't happy. She didn't want to go through with the wedding. Karen wanted children. Two weeks before the wedding, Burris told her he would not be able to give her children, because he had a vasectomy. A small detail he forgot to mention. Karen wanted to cancel the wedding, but her mother told her, that the wedding would go forward. Agnes Carpenter, told her daughter that "she had made her bed, and must now sleep in it...."
@@patcolin2 She should have had it annulled shortly after, since she could, and say he hid the fact, so they were married under false pretenses. I guess it depends, though, if, before the wedding, she told him she knew, and told him she didn't want to marry him. I'm sure good ol' Mommy Dearest would have frowned on that, too. 🤨

She's so beautiful, thank you for sharing..never thought I would be able to see my idol's wedding..thank you thank you thank you! Thank you from Newport Beach, California xo
When she started to say her vows I couldn't watch anymore. So many men would have been ready willing and able to marry her and give her the child she so desperately wanted, and somehow she winds up marrying a dude who shortly before the wedding says oh by the way I've had a vasectomy I can't have any children but I'm willing to have It reversed. Tragic
She looked beautiful! I saw an interview once (forgot his name) but he was part of A&M and when the execs found out they were dating and gave him an ultimatum to not see her anymore or would lose his job. I often wonder what would have happened (and he says so also) what would have happened had he chose to stay with Karen. He looked regretful that he didn’t. From what he says, he deeply cared about her as she did him. I bet that felt hurtful that he didn’t choose her over his job. So sad. She would have been such a wonderful mom. 😢
@coleen wise I believe the man’s name was John Adrian, whose nickname was Softly as he’d appeared on a British series called “Softly, Softly.” Of all the men with whom Karen was linked, Softly seemed the most genuinely besotted with her. I highly recommend Randy Schmidt’s bio “Little Girl Blue,” as the best take on Karen; Softly spoke to Schmidt, as did a number of her closest friends.
This video is so depressing! I’ve watched all four parts and I totally realized it was the beginning of the end of her life. He was the worst person for her and she knew it the day before they were married as he finally admitted that he could never give her kids because he had a vasectomy. She even wanted to call off the wedding but her own mother said no. Her mother was also part of her demise. Karen Carpenter was always sad even as she smiled. She probably always thought if she faked it to make it she would be fine.
I think of Karen all the time and I simply imagined how lovely she'd sing in heaven. As people who know me would say"Karen died and left her voice somewhere in Nigeria, in a nine year old who just turned 40.That'd been the longest secret to keep to myself and when I started having early symptoms of anorexia, I panicked and decided to let you know that Karen left something in me and its alive.I won't die but you should know.
I can never understand the hatred that a lot of Carpenter fans shows toward Richard. His rendition of "The Wedding Prayer" was absolutely wonderful. People says that he doesn't have a good leading voice, because people keeps comparing him with Karen. Of course Karen would put BOTH male and female vocalists to shame. Who would you rather listen to singing this song? Bruce Springsteen? Lionel Richie? Rod Stewart? Joe Cocker? Just naming some of the most popular male vocalists at that time.
She does not look happy. She did not want to go through with the wedding. Agnes Carpenter demanded that Karen go through with it. This is the saddest wedding I've ever seen.
@@patcolin2 That's heartbreaking. Karen's mother is a witch! She always idolised Richard and couldn't believe it when her daughter became a star. She is the cause of much of Karen's low self esteem and the anorexia that killed her just two and a half years after this doomed wedding.
I wish I could have married her. I love her so, so much. Not her money, but the beautiful person she was. I wish I could have let her feel how special and valuable she was. She deserved so much more. Even though I was born after her death and even though I live on the other side of the planet and even though I'm not a man but a woman, I wish I could have married her. Because I truely love her. And it hurts me knowing how this man treated her.
Thanks for your comment. You know, I'd been wondering how he felt about his stance in the duo and when he finally said in an interview on tv that he wanted to be a great singer and I thought I'd known it all along and what a bad luck he had to have one of the greatest singers who happened to be his sister for his group.

Signs of nervousness, you can't draw conclusions from that because some brides get nervous and Karen had a certain shyness in her and she knew there were a certain amount of people watching a special moment in her life. Though by then she might have felt that maybe she had gotten into a hole.

+BRENDAJASON1 She had only been dating this guy for a few months before he "proposed" to her. The divorce from his wife was not even final yet. Karen cannot escape blame for this. She was dazzled by his suntanned, blond hair, blue eyes, killer smile, and superficial personality. She made her decision based on how he made her feel. If this clown was properly vetted, and they had a longer engagement, she probably would have avoided all the emotional devastation it ultimately caused her.
Not even final??? You're supposed to show the town clerk you are not married -- that would mean he would have to show proof that his divorce was final. If he was not yet divorced, the marriage itself was not valid and she was free as a bird at that point.
People around her said she was being too hasty...Everything went very fast and he didn't convey much trust. She accepted it. So her mother said she made her bed and now had to lie on it.

Why didn't she just run far away. She was hurt enough in her life. I never knew what I am reading here right now. So sorry Karen. U deserved much better
She deservend another love
To anyone this looks like a beautiful wedding. It's just us who know the truth and it makes it so sad to watch. Thanks for uploading :)
Correct!!!!
So sorry. We didn't know how sad she was.
Imagine being Richard and having to sing at the wedding knowing Tom wasn't the right man for his sister.
Richard hardly ever gets his due. Beautiful composer and singer. God bless him always
and Pianist of course :)
Maybe they're be more due him of he wasn't an absolute devil to Karen.
She looked so beautiful here god bless her thank you for the gift of your music Karen ❤️
Tom didn't marry Karen,..he married her bank account.
Not only that he wanted to become famous.. Poor Karen
Luckily it sounds like they disbanded shortly after the honeymoon which was a good thing for her because he was saying things like she is a bag of bones and he is not going to have a child with her even if it is possible. What a blessing. The man was a true narcissist.
@@neatstuff8200 It was told on this occasion that Mr. Burris wasn't able to bear children since he had vasectomy unbeknownst to Karen till right before the ceremony. Which rightfully infuriated her beyond words. But her manipulative mother forced her to marry anyways. I wouldn't have given him another look after the ceremony either! That was horrible for him to keep that from her! And him calling her a bag of bones,,..... How pathetic! He was a total liar to her in every way. He didn't deserve her one bit!!!
Karen's "HAPPY / HEALTHY" Solo Album 1980 (released 1996) = 13 yrs. after passing away, it went Platinum (1M sales) because it was great > despite lack of support! Ramone & Quincy Jones loved it & tried to get A&M & Richard to release it then > Karen was HAPPY beyond words, per friends! Karen never would have even dated Tom Burris > if involved with Solo Album & Shows & becoming her own Healthy Woman, while Richard took off 1979! Then a 2nd Meteoric Rise would have launched “CARPENTERS” Together Again! How Sad it never happened while she was still with us.
It was as the "for richer" part that made his ears perk up! The prick!
SO SAD! She looks absolutely miserable standing there. I could only imagine her thinking I’m making the worst mistake in my life and NO ONE will allow me to stop this. My heart breaks for her. Sadly she’s not here anymore with us. May she sleep in paradise eternally.

Yes. She is shaking at 1:08. Look at her bouquet. :(
You all probably dont care at all but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?
I stupidly lost my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@Bowen Tommy Instablaster ;)
@Deangelo Ty thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now.
I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Thank you for the beautiful music..my all time favorite..love her forever
Richard Carpenter looks very dapper and he sings "The Wedding Prayer" so beautifully.
I've never seen the parents stand up with the bride and groom like that before
That's undoubtedly because Karen's mother Agnes was such a damn control freak she insisted on having a role (notice how when the vicar asked who gave her away, her father Harold said he AND her mother did?)
The traditional marriage ceremony has only one person give the bride away - her father if he is living and a substitute if not. The bride is never given away by two people! Ghastly Agnes wanted a piece of the action.
That woman has a lot to do with her daughter's lack of confidence and the anorexia she developed that killed her 3 years after this.
@Glamdolly30 - I might not have been popular then , but I was at 2 weddings in the last 5 years ( before Covid)
.
Her mother was making damn sure that Karen wasn't going to be a runaway bride....
I love the Carpenters and Karen looked stunningly beautiful best voice EVER!!!
+Elizabeth Gandy She looked sick as hell.
Just the saddest thing. All of it. Breaks my heart. RIP, dear Karen. ❤
She must have felt **so** alone and trapped. Tom found it to be quite a humorous occasion.
+loco madre I'm sure he thought he had hit the lottery. A shame that Karen had to be such a martyr.
Lots of times an officiant will do that at weddings -- add humor to it to more or less lighten the mood -- lots of brides and grooms are very nervous.
Yeah didn't you just want to slap him?
I hated the way he made a joke of his vows - it was a bad omen for the marriage, Karen deserved a prince but got a frog.
Ned, thank you for sharing this video. :)
She never wanted to marry him -- her mother, I have heard, pressured her into going through with it.
Well said, this video is heartbreaking. Karen should have been marrying her soulmate. A wonderful man who loved her unconditionally could literally have saved her life.
I believe this chump hastened her death, which came just two and a half years later, after he had caused her so much misery and heartache.
I've never seen this. It's too heartbreaking to watch. I had to stop at about 4 minutes of it.
Wow thanks for posting this what an awesome thing to witness
I feel sad watching her wedding. I was only 10 months when she died. But I love all her songs because my parents keep on playing her songs in our home since I was a child.
come on guys, Richard isn't that bad a singer. :( he is talented and his song was loving for his sister despite the terrible thing the union ended up to be.
Ada Harrison I loved his song for his sister it was beautiful
JayGSmith08 beautiful song
Ada : Not that bad? His voice is beautiful.
It's amazing! This world changed as the music changed
Again thank you so much! So glad I'm getting to see her wedding in full, Karen is so beautiful in this and Richard's rendition of The Wedding Prayer is beautiful as well!
after reading her book little girl blue, I understand the small unnoticed details surrounding her wedding and watching this is just too much. too much
meeha007
Tom mocking the minister, Karen's eyes when she says her vows, Agnes's stance and her lack of support for Karen on the whole thing
meeha007 "The Little Girl Blue" book is something you should really read if you are interested in Karen's life & her music.
Nice song Richard sang...he sounded so pretty!
...lisp and all.
R.I.P. KAREN ANNE CARPENTER!!! :"""(
There was no chemistry between Karen and her husband... you can tell when a woman and man look at each other, wink, are connected... these two were not.... I've been to many weddings and you can just 'tell' when a couple is meant to be... these two were not.
No she was acting she wanted to call off the wedding because she found out he was a fraud
Qué feliz se veía ....si hubiera sabido lo que le esperaba.... merecía mucho más ella era un Ángel y cantaba como nadie. Qué Dios la tenga a Su lado ❤🌹🇦🇷
Even when you speak Karen, it sounds angelic. And Richard, you are a Genius. Thank you.
Did anyone else find it weird that both sets of parents stood up, next to the bride and schmuck, excuse me, groom, during the entire ceremony??
It was probably arranged like this with the ceremonialist
If I didn't know or think I know so much about this family, I would love this video. Must say that despite what I think of Richard he sang beautifully and probably was the best support that he **could** be for his sister. I think those two were up against a shrewish controlling domineering mother from hell and that had things been different we'd still be enjoying Karen's totally once in a lifetime voice. As I said I think I know and have read the book that wasn't under Richard's total control.
Heart wrenching !!
Karen looked so beautiful on her wedding day... Wish she married the right man..
5:00: He mocks the minister's tone of voice with his "I do," prompting laughter from the crowd. Bad sign.
Karen looked so happy. I think he promised her the moon, and she just wanted someone to love her.
I believe she wanted to believe in him even though she knew he was a snake.
She wasnt happy. Her mother told her to marry him and she didnt want to
Karen wasn't happy.
@@VintageRose75 Karen should have ran....as fast as she could.....
She should have gone to the airport, and taken the "first flight out".....to anywhere.
Stay safe
Beautiful wow. His voice is magical. Wow amazing
Shame they are so blurry, can't really make out to much...RIP Karen ~ Miss and Love you HUGS !!!
What a gorgeous voice Rich@rd has.
this is like a bad telenovela where the evil stepmom forces her beautiful daughter to marry for money but...it's backwards and Poor Karen just needs a Prince to carry her out of this nightmare in a horse 😭😭😭
She's so beautiful, thank you for sharing..never thought I would be able to see my idol's wedding..thank you thank you thank you! Thank you from Newport Beach, California xo
Love her hat!
Tragic
This was her biggest mistake to get married!
Tragic..she deserved so much more
It was a mistake
I love this song by Richard he sounds great but I'm sure he had his doubts
How sad. Instead she married this asshole.
She deserved a beautiful hubby-- like her!! She looked so Lovely- and I will always admire her😗
Laura Swihart - have you not learned by her death that beauty is only skin deep?
He WAS a handsome man but that could've been the problem...handsome is only surface. He was a bastard.
IMO she should have married Peter Cetera.
Strange how everyone laughs when he says, He will. O_o
Her mother was a nasty old witch. She forced Karen to marry him!!
Hope Agnes is rotting in hell. Karen, u should have ran!
She never even looks at her husband when Richard is singing.
My god...she was beautiful...truly.
Rod Stewart can't sing either!
She looked so good here, but started to starve herself again when her marriage failed, so sad, she was dead within two and half years
She should never have married
Would have been better off staying single.
Yes she's one of them that's not meant to get married
BRENDAJASON1 I respectfully disagree. She would have been a great wife; she just never found a decent guy.
Sarah Hopkins who does ! :(
Saulo antonio Alves Tom was a complete ass to her.
He’s thinking.. “I love her and her money, and I will cherish them both”
Poor Karen. She looked so blissfully happy. If only it had lasted.
I think because she was faking that look of happiness because she knew the focus on her...deep down she was miserable
When we look at the Karen's face, we understand why she was so sad. God may have you in a good resting place. !!! We always will love you !!
Quem sabe Karen não está reencarnada por aí,perto de você ❤
the end should have been for her to perform"we've only just begun".
At 7mins, 15secs:
(In her mind) "Oh no, I actually said these things."
At 7:11 she wants to cry so badly..... I feel so bad for her 😔
Karen was told the truth and seems to be in pain. Richard is supporting his sister by singing.
I think Rich made one of his best singing performances here and I wish I could listen to it on cd someday, too.
Thanks for your comment. You know, I'd been wondering how he felt about his stance in the duo and when he finally said in an interview on tv that he wanted to be a great singer and I thought I'd known it all along and what a bad luck he had to have one of the greatest singers who happened to be his sister for his group.
I don’t usually like when Richard sings lead on a song, but he sounded beautiful here.
She was a good woman. To good for that P. O. S.!

Richard sang so beautifully - but yes everyone here noticed how Karen was not looking at Tom. I can't believe the family made them go ahead knowing full well how much Karen wanted a family of her own and that this man could not give her what she needed. He was a gold digger.
I have a better question did he really even love her?! I am not so sure she married the wrong man she did.
Richard's song was beautiful.
Karen is so beautiful, this breaks my heart. Schullar always has to try to spin everything he says to sound "holy". He made the ceremony embarrassing.
What?
Are you taking about the officiator who is marrying them? The way he was pronouncing those words, soumddd to dramatic and grandiose.
He is Robert H. Schuller from the Crystal Cathedral, the Hour of Power was on TV for years.
I am sorry Karen died so young.. she is the greatest Singer. I wish she could have had a better guy to marry. not a guy after her money. Richard sings so great. love you Karen . wish u were here.. thanks for your beautiful songs. u r in heaven..
At 7:20 she looks so disappointed after she finishes her vows...
She makes a kind of shrug when she says Amen, and then gulps, licks her lips and it all screams “well...here we go...” and it’s so SAD. RIP Karen. You were and are still loved.
Signs of nervousness, you can't draw conclusions from that because some brides get nervous and Karen had a certain shyness in her and she knew there were a certain amount of people watching a special moment in her life. Though by then she might have felt that maybe she had gotten into a hole.
Que hermoso esto 🥰🥰🥰grande Karen 🤗
Does anyone know who composed 'The Wedding Prayer"? It is so very beautiful!!! I'd like to purchase a cd with this song on it. It's gorgeous!!!
@Jakob A brain.
Do you have one?
U'll live forever in me and the rest of all ur fan Karen...
So sad they were still legally married when she died ("till death do us part"). Why is his hand behind his back? It looks like he has his fingers crossed or something.

So creepy.....poor Karen, I don't think she was ever happy. Why wasn't it in a church? I bet that nasty mother of hers wanted it in Beverly Hills to impress ppl she didn't even know...
Her mom was awful -the KC movie didn’t show the mom in her true light.
Until now, I had no idead Richard sang at her weddin.
At 3:00 Karen's prob thinking maaaan I screwed up. It was obvious that this fool wanted the money and fame
If he was not yet divorced, the marriage itself was not valid and she was free as a bird at that point.
stillayl hmmm..I made the same mistake a few times blinded by looks...but she was young & we're all silly when we are young.
People around her said she was being too hasty...Everything went very fast and he didn't convey much trust. She accepted it. So her mother said she made her bed and now had to lie on it.
This is hard to watch knowing the context, the music even seems melancholic.
