Once again it was an absolute pleasure filming this with you. We are extremely proud to be able to introduce the XO DFNDR 9 to the Australian market. XO stands for Crossover. Meaning multipurpose, adaptable boats with the capability to support a wide range of recreational activities and ocean adventures. Love your work! Thanks Dan.
Thankyou! That makes a lot of sense and i've shared that info on my social media now as i'm sure lots of people didn;t know that. So many different activities you could have fun on an XO with! Well done.
I wasn't gonna comment on this one until you said you where headed for open water as it should be tested being a deep V I tend to really like an enclosed or enclosable cabin as this one is I just prize them more I only know a couple of brands that I like with such, and now I know this one which is really nice for all the reasons you mentioned
Yep this is a cool brand that is worth keeping an eye on. Their quality is excellent and the designs are super cool. Offshore this boat loves it Thanks for the feedback
Hi Dan - many thanks, another superb test drive video. The first I’ve seen on the DFNDR 9. This boat is ideal for north (and south) hemisphere. This boat is definitely on my very short next purchase list. Your review nailed it. Love the fighter jet references - highly recommend the new Top Gun - USA saving the world again.
Thanks David! Yes having already tested the DFNDR 8 i found this boat to be a real upgrade as she is absolutely ideal in both hot and cold climates plus she'll tackle almost any sea states. Haha i was fresh from seeing the new Top Gun movie at the cinema that week! However the DFNDR 9 really did give me that feeling! Best new movie i've seen in 10 years by the way!! You feel snug at the helm of the DFNDR 9 just like you would in a fighter jet - except on the DFNDR 9 you can pull up for coffee and biscuits which i don't think they would be doing in an F-18 lol
Thanks Pete! I'm having a ball doing this and find it very encouraging when i can see you guys are getting some value from it. That XO is so cool it's hard not to be enthusastic about it. I felt like Maverick buzzing the tower on that thing!
Good question. People wanting to beach in areas with rock and coral generally prefer alloy boats as this is a better material for tougher environments. Axopar/Saxdor/Nimbus/Quarken etc are more suited to the mass market family style of boating where they are using marinas, sandy beaches and dropping anchor. If you come into contact with rocks on a GRP boat you'll leave a mark on your beautiful gelcoat which is not ideal.
G'day Jean, thankyou! I have not tested the new DFNDR 8 yet so I can't tell you. However I can say these boats are very well built and a lot of fun to drive. The new 8 appear to make better use of the available space when compared to the older 250 DFNDR so it's an interesting boat. It really depends on how you personally will use the boat however as to which one will be better.
Depends how it's trimmed but yes in some conditions the 28 Axopar might be smoother i agree. XO build quality is better from what i could see. I think the XO brand is actually going for a different buyer to the Axopar market to be fair.
Das ist ein unglaubliches Boot, ich liebe deine Viedeos vor allem das der Rafnar 1100. 2 Unglaubliche Boote. Wie viel € kostet dieses Boot ? Gibt es Händler in Europa ? Danke und mach weiter so !
Not sure if that's necessary to be fair. These hull designs are more focused on being efficient so just adding more HP sometime's doesn't actually give you any noticable benefit. Similar to when people ask me about putting 600Hp Mercs on Axopar 37's and my answer is a straight NO. They power to weight ratio just doesn't make sense and the lower HP is much better suited to the hull design and weight.

Great working with you guys too! Always positive and always importing cool boats so we can't ask for any better than that!
Hi Dan! Since you asked, XO stands for “Cross Over”, a way to remind how multipurpose our boats are! Wonderful video!

Your Top Gun handle? Boatbouy?
Awesome video Dan… love your candid enthusiastic reviews 👍

Superb.
Loved that mate.
I loved it too! This boat is cool
Thanks for the feedback
Great video. What is your opinion about aluminium boat versus grp. Whould you buy aluminium.who will choose this and who is going to buy axxopar.

Would love to see a review of the Saxdor 320 GTC in comparison this this boat for the same kind of commuter type use!
I can do that! I'll try organise this
Hello Dan, I appreciate all your comment’s !!!
My question is…
DFNDR 8 or 9 ?
Tank you
G'day Jean, thankyou!

Волна маленькая 0.5м. Лодку подкидывает. Что будет на 0.75 или 1м? В полном грузу с пассажирами и 100% заправкой?
I don't think it's a spot above competition. I tried the XPLR9 and it was Jumpy! Axopar is smoother..

I think I might prefer this over the axopar 28. Its a tough one. However , I can't afford either haha
It's a very cool boat so easy to see why!

I think this is German? And maybe you're asking me about the Rafnar 1100?? Sorry if someone speaks German and can translate i'll try answer
What is he saying at 18:40? Litres aside? What does he mean? Is he talking about litres/hour?
Generally when I say litres a side I mean fuel flow per engine 🚤
Wery good
COULD YOU USE 300 MERCURY'S
