I'm Italian, and Nina is absolutely right new york pizza (but also bread) is the best in the US, the secret is the quality of water they have in NY, while Chicago deep dish, especially the one I had at Giordano's is probably one of the the worst I had in my life and I visited 70 countries around the world plus around a dozen of states in the US.
