What a unit. I really appreciated reviewing this and also the operation series you got in your channel.
Night and day difference. Build quality but also signal quality.

I purchased the 935g+ based on your review. Great radio. Thank you for the operator series. Very helpful.

Going to watch this one again! I have the UV9GX-M. Don't know much about it yet but you're helping a lot!

TD-H3. What does menu #9 “D Wait” do?
How do you program certain channels to receive only (disable transmit) such as the weather channels in H3 unlock mode? Odmaster keeps populating the transmit frequency field and I want to set the weather channels to receive only. Thanks for what you do. Love the channel.

I wish your GMRS frequencies were the same as our UHF CB channels. Either way, Wouxun radios are excellent and I want a few more. I have the KGUV9PX and love it.
You have awesome how-to radio series Scott, much appreciated.🍻🤠

    Good video series.
    Pro Tip
    Buy the Wouxun KG-UV8H
It can be MARS modded to work on GMRS while the KG-935G cannot be modded to work on amateur bands.

What is the unlock process for the KG-UV8H? I looked into the KG-UV8H a while back but passed due it not having the TDR button and no available info on the unlock procedures. If you found something I would be very, very interested in hearing about it.

@@KS6DAY I Don't exactly remember but there is a UA-cam video on it. If I recall it's just some button presses and on/off procedure.

@@KS6DAY this is also true for the KG-Q model

@@KS6DAY I'm sorry disregard the previous replies. It was unlocked via chirp. It's the KGQH model that you can do with button presses.
It seems I found that any ham or amateur if you will radios are unlockable to use GMRS but I have not found that to be the same whenever it is a dedicated GMRS to be unlocked into the amateur bands.

I just bought one of these, was excited to get it, however the front end receive audio is too hot with stronger signals. it pops and squelches out and sounds bad. I would keep this radio and not send it back if theres a way to adjust the audio to make it more smooth on receive.

That doesn't sound normal at all. I would definitely send it back for an exchange.

@@zvjezdaniput6121 Correct, this is a GMRS only radio. The Wouxun KG-UV8H is the amateur radio service version.

Radio is ok. Problem is you cant just pick a few channels and scan them. You have to scan a whole group. Dumb
