But I am interested for internal use only. But as in our company only IT has admin rights, we cannot ask people to open an IT-ticket each time they want to sign up or out. Any suggestion for this?

How did you get an extermal email ID in the member list?
Please try adding it as a contact within the MS 365 admin center (Users > Contacts) before trying to adding it as member. Thanks!
