@@timothymcvay7286 I use either rock salt from the grocery store or pool salt or water softener salt from Lowes. The pool salt is the cheapest and is very fine granules so it dissolves quickly and as a bonus I can use it in my bait tank also.
I noticed that at least the Igloo coolers, for some reason, have been manifactured for years without any insulation in their lids. And for the past 3 years or the manufacturer is producing their coolers with BLACK lids???? Maybe Igloo also makes or has controlling interest in the industryaking ice. I drilled about 6-8 one quarter inch holes in the edges of my Igloo cooler and used spray foam to fill the void. my ice now lasts 3x as long in a white lid Igloo.
Demetrius is even signing off as Catfish Dave Now, trying to throw us a fast one haha.. Thank you for the Video Dave, enjoyed as Always. Good Luck and have FUN !
Im slim shady. Yes im the real slim shady. All you other slim shadies are just imitating. Will the real slim shady please stand up? Loved the video Dave! Thank you sir!
I live in California. Your salty fish bait made me respond. I know you don’t like channel cats however that’s our only take here. Going forward the most successful bait has always been mackerel or Bonita. Oily salt water fish and fighting off the yellow jackets trying to cut it up. Wayne give it a try for your area👍
I’m kinda mystified by the planer board set up. I use a Big Jon mast with reels that take the left and right Otter planer boards out. You cast out and the fishing line is connected to a quick release and ring. The ring slides out to the Otter board. When you get a hit, the fishing line is released, and you’re not reeling in the planer board.
Maybe you can change your video routine a little. Tell us what month/time period, then show us to fish the structure you targeted. More about teaching us how to be like Dave...Thanks
Salt toughens the flesh
Salmon fishermen have been brining there hearing in salt since the begening of time.
Those damn Canadian Geese are fertilizing more than Tennessee.
A fisherman AND a poet. So entertaining!
I remember an old Mythbusters episode that adding salt to ice water makes it colder.
You’re one badass Salty Catfish Catcher. Thank you for your time on the water
😂😅 "Dave's not here !"
Open the door man, it's Dave.
No really. Open the door. It's me, Dave!
That’s a classic! Back from my high school years. My older brothers name was Dave and we used that line a lot.😂♥️👍🏼
What's the best salt to use

In a Three Stooge episode titled Three Missing Links, the funniest thing Curly ever said on film, “I’m not me”!!😂😂
Don't ya just love it when they swim right into the net.
We dont have barge bites on Texoma, but we got railroad bridges. The train bite is real!!
Rock salt works really well just sprinkle 3 to4 hands full over the ice it will freeze can drinks.
Really enjoy your additional channel! 👴🏻💪🏻👍🏻✌🏻
Ive salted shrimp for catfish bait many times. I find that salted shrimp is best used to catch bream and then use the bream for catfish bait.
You get to thinking about those H L n C girls and you won't be needing those hoodies and jackets to warm you up
Glad to see you're feeling better. 😊
Pretty sure salt makes the ice colder than 32º F as it melts the ice. Thanks Dave!
Stupid traffic. Dagblasted geese. Dadburn train and salty skipjack. Sounds like a good night to me. Enjoy

Dave have you tried rock salt? The type you use for ice cream, or even Ice melt for driveways. Ive heard it works great.
I wanna fish with you Dave!!!
Northwest Florida
👍👍👍👍👍🎣video
It's work with salt I use Morton salt
Fresh Florida Mullet worked great for me! I am sure it has a little more salt in it than Skipjacks!
Mullet went out in the 80s
@@IEchuckie Tell that to the 200 pound Tarpon eating them before we left Florida lol!
Have you ever considered putting some sort of small light on your planer boards for night fishing?
Use garlic salt. I use it on my chicken baits and the fish love the salt and garlic.
DAG BLASTED GOOSE POOP!! Carry on
What was it like the 1st time you went Nighy fishing...what have you learned to be safe
Catfish are cool👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
I didn't know salt works when you fish with skipjack
Muddy river catfishing uses salt.
Catfishin machine 🎉
What kind of reel is that on the far right?

But he can bend the arm and make them pull out better. Yep just bend the arm.
What net do you have
What happened to Demetrius!?
Where did Dimitrias go?
Is catfish Dave getting credit for his videos used here?
Hey Dave your boards don’t pull out very far you better bend that arm some more.
I bet the fish wish it wasn't you.
Do you going to send even more n buy salt also ... Lol
Dave, it’s been a little while since you caught a big one 65+lbs ; it probably will happen this fall ,so
What kind of salt are you using? Rock salt?
What about garlic powder on the bait?
You just be careful and don't run aground
If he falls in the water with all those jackets on he'll drown. No life jacket
...man"
Just wondering, do you have access to mullet? I use it in the Choctawhatchee River and have had great success on flathead and channel cats!
Are you wearing Daves' underwear too? 😂😂😂
FYI. Canada geese, not Canadian.
Could be both.
@@mattbrown837 pretty sure it is Canada geese...we change it to Canadian.
😭😭😭😭 No, it's not really me😂😂😂😂
