Unrelated but we need a stand-alone reaction video to the bad man (Joe Barry) getting fired. We need one last TFG Joe Barry rant.
Yes, we do
Definitely
Preach ❤
we definitely do😂I don’t even think he’s tweeted about it
Plz make it
The thing that’s really impressive about Zaire’s tackle stat is that he did that while missing a game…insane
I wonder what the single season tackle record is…
Edit: I looked it up it is 214. Franklin was on pace for 217 at one point (which is absolutely insane). 179 is still very respectable…
Texans fan here, the main reason Singletary took over the starting job from Pierce this year is Singletary’s consistency and fit in this scheme. He constantly makes the right reads and hits the open hole, while Pierce is more of a meat head downhill runner that looks for contact instead of running with patience, which does not fit in well with our scheme at all. He was averaging something like 2.5 yards a carry. We’ll see if he can improve next year
Fellow Texans fan here. I am a huge Pierce fan as he's a great character guy and I love his toughness and attitude. That said, I think he may not make the 2024 final roster. I honestly don't see how he's any different from Baylor's Abram Smith (got cut by NO in 2022 and was #1 pick in XFL draft). A straight ahead RB who looks for contact and ... well that's kinda it. Again, awesome character guy (like Smith) but I feel that 2022 was fool's gold. He's not an NFL RB or certainly not one in a Slowick's offense. Maybe he can diversify his game and become a better contributor. I sure hope so.
Love seeing Khalil Davis get some love. Made a lot of plays for that d-line and while still just a depth guy I love seeing a guy like him step up, especially coming out of an offseason league.
As for Damien pierce, he just really struggled picking up the new scheme. Hoping he can turn things around next year
He also dropped his weight to apparently be better as a receiver but it's debatable it took away from his ability to bounce off and muscle through tackles.
Just an FYI, Gay was nursing a hip injury towards the end of the season right around when he started missing longer kicks; as a colts fan, seemed like we paid the right guy after he kicked four 50+ yd FGs to take down Baltimore early in the year. I could be wrong, just thought I'd let you know about the injury!
Man, once Richardson gets healthy I love where this Colts team is going. They do have a little work to do when it comes to resigning/replacing guys like Pittman, Stewart, Blackmon, and Moore, but they have a ton of cap space to work with. If they can fill all those gaps while adding a good RG, a better CB or two, and maybe one more high end playmaker, they could be incredible next year.
In their draft, I'd really like to see them go double Cooper: targeting Cooper Dejean at CB and Cooper Beebe for IOL with their first two picks. Those two just seem like they'd be perfect fits for what Indy is wanting to do.
Fries played quite well at RG, honestly. I don't know why you'd be targeting that position in particular.
@@EvilTwinnYeah don’t think we are going to a new starter there.
Was here during ur early early madden content, think it was like 2017, still watching now. The content and analysis have gotten so much better over the years, I remember ur opinion on Baker coming out real well, almost looks better in hindsight now? Keep it up brotha, road to 100K
Love your content and have been flowing for a long time! Question, what did you overlook in Puka during the draft process or has he just developed a lot over the season that would be beyond expectations?
He had major medical red flags
Boom, perfect timing
Otis Reese took over TN LB spot. Looked good in a few spots.
THIS THE ONE WE BEEN WAITING ON?!
You’re a true warrior for getting all these out
So excited for free agency this year
Surprised you didn't drop Pitre slightly on the Texans. It felt like he struggled quite a bit this year especially in coverage.
He pretty mid tbh I'd trade him for someone else
@@spartan_a1176why? He's on a rookie contract and his stock is low as he struggled in Ryans' D. He seemed to really suffer without Ward. Sucks Ward couldn't get out there at all really. I think Pitre has potential way more like his 2022 play so definitely don't wanna give up on him yet.
@reidawg72 yeahh but he's inconsistent just watching his past plays & Jimmie ward is 32 and he's not looking the same
@@spartan_a1176 I am not disagreeing with any of that. But he's on a rookie contract and his value is low right now compared to what he showed in 202/. There's no reason not to give him more time considering he had 150 tackles and 5 ints in 2022 plus is a great character guy. (But yes, super disappointed in Ward. I had high hopes. It really didn't work out.)
And hypothetically, what would you take for Pitre?. We used a high 2nd rd pick 2yrs ago. R u trading him for less than a low 1st rd pick? Anything less is kind of a waste, right? Or, are you saying you're totally done with him regardless? Ryans loves him. With experience in that defense, hopefully he gets right. I say it's worth finding out.
Gonna defend Matt Gay a little bit here. His FG misses were from 60 (blocked), 58, 57, 57 (doinked), 56, 47, and 38 (doinked). He also missed one PAT where the snap/hold execution was supposedly bad (I cannot verify, tbf)
He was listed on the Colts injury report with a hip problem before Week 16, right after two games where he missed 3 kicks between them. I'm not sure when he sustained the hip injury, but there's a chance it could have been part of why he missed 3 kicks in Weeks 14+15.
So he was asked to make a bunch of high difficulty kicks, and may have been dealing with some kind of injury for 2 or 3 of those misses.
Also keep in mind he single-handedly won us the Ravens game in Week 3 by going 4/4 on 50+ yard FGs, a league record. (I know this episode doesn't go back that far, I'm just illustrating that it wasn't anything like he "struggled all season long")
Obviously you want your highly paid kicker to make everything, but I think the context behind his season really matters
i cant believe this is my life - texans fan
How many hours do you sleep at night my man? It's hard to believe you really do all this high quality content and also have a life
Nice job marcus
i’m surprised you hardly mentioned julian blackmon. he had a career year and i would’ve liked to hear what you thought about his switch to SS this past season
Andrew Rupcich is out of Culver-Stockton College
I feel like the way to get the most out of Travon is to move him inside to 3T some plays, hes done it in college and he can offer a better pass rush than any of our IDL atm, just need to get some better edge depth to be able to do it imo
82 is too low for stroud.
Do you know if there’s someone updating the madden roster based off these videos? The most recent one I’ve seen was the weeks 1-5 update.
I uploaded it on Xbox last night, PS5 is tbd
Colts are in good hands with Stechin and Richardson 🙌
Rup-chich is the correct pronunciation.
Matt Gay did have a hip injury so hopefully that’s just the problem and he can get healthy in the offseason
I don’t think Pierce’s health was the problem. I think he just isn’t a fit for a zone run scheme. He struggles to find cutback lanes and quickly shift gears and get through the hole. He’s a very talented runner with an incredible ability to get yards after contact, so hopefully we find a use for him next year
Zaire was I believe the first ever 3x captain in Syracuse Football history (or at least first in a LONG time). Was almost immediately the Special Teams captain in Indy. It’s too bad he’s an average athlete, or else he’d probably be a top 5 LB in the league. So fun seeing what he’s doing in this league despite some of those athletic limitations, borderline elite IQ and leadership
Zaire is a great athlete lol ran 4.62 had a really good 3 cone 38 inch vertical lol dudes explosive
@@richardrhodes4701 oh wow, I never realized his combine was so good. I’m an SU fan and swear the knock on him coming into the draft was average athleticism. Shocked then with his production and testing numbers he lasted til the 7th riund
🐐
The Josh Allen’s performance was so good. If only Walker gets with the program.
Mfw a mid wr that nobody cared about but got hyped in the offseason as a good-great player for no reason is still mid.
Can’t wait to see who it will next year Calvin Ridley held that title this year along side mid wrs like allen Robinson, DJ Chark, Golladay, and that random Falcons slot wr that went to Tampa in Brady’s final year already forgot that man’s name lol
I love that you liked Pierce. So many Colts fans scapegoat him for Gardner Minshew not having arm strength to utilize him properly.
Give tank that 80 mannnn
Obv I'm sure you've victory lapped this enough but Blake Cashman has to be one of your all time draft takes. Everyone was obsessed with Murray and Queen and you ranked him #1🤣🤣🤣
I believe he was in the class with Devin Bush and Devin White, and I had him RIGHT behind those guys who went top 10!!
@@ThatFranchiseGuy omg thats even better lmfao. He's genuinely better than both of them too, crazy. Draft guys who can cover!
@@ThatFranchiseGuyyep that 2019 class when everyone collectively gasped at all the front 7 type players breaking the 4.4 40 yd mark. Which really just started the trend of drafting any defender that can run a 4.4
The superior josh allen
Bernard “Rye-Men” is how it’s pronounced
i know you probably get this question a lot but, is your roster on ps5?
Someone does the edits for me, I need to get him the information and then we'll see if he has time to do these updates. 👍
It's up as TFGREAL2024
As someone who lives in Indy, Matt Gay sold this team plenty this year. I’m a bears fan so I get it, but he’s the highest paid kicker and he should’ve made plenty of the kicks he missed.
Also, I was at that Houston-Colts week 18 game and he could’ve played better, but it was mostly Houston coming with that playoff intensity that the Colts didn’t have
I’m glad Joe Barry got fired I was a little worried the packers would keep him after those playoff games 😂
The Texans are absolutely not touching offensive line in the offseason
from a texans fan , pierce simply wasnt a good fit for this offense , he missed a couple games but was overall healthy and was cut out of the game plan completely towards the end of the year
Thats the coach's fault or the OC we saw the rookie year.. dudes a top back in the league the coach needs to figure out how to use him.
he cant read blocks and tends to run into his own lineman , h doesnt fit a zone run offense simple as that@@djemayel8907
@djemayel8907 true that first year he had was great and did better than Singletary & Damian this year he completely just sunk down
as a cardinals fan, i'm glad the texans season is finally over so i can stop rooting against them
As a Texans fan I feel the same about the Browns season lol. It worked out a little better for me than it did for you. I really thought the Cards may end up with a top 10 pick after the Texans lost so many O-linemen in the preseason and early games. Then CJ Stroud happened.
comment
ehh i hate this take, but i can see where your coming from.
Fortner should have been a dud on here. Was the worst starting center in the league and got so much worse at the end of the year
Can't argue with that, but I'm already super low on him.
