    FAQ's:
Q: I dont see any Legacy / UEFI options.
A: If you dont see any Legacy / UEFI options or trying that step did not help, move on and continue with the rest of the steps. What was the result of the Dell diagnostic scan?
Q: The diagnostic scan said my HDD is good but none of the steps worked and the new install fails.
A: If the diagnostic test said your HDD is good but the new install wont complete, perhaps the HDD is bad after all :( I would then replace the HDD and install to the new one.
Q: The diagnostic test said 'NA' or that my HDD was not installed.
A: If the test cannot be run due to the HDD not being seen, it could be loose. Try 'reseating' it as seen in the video and run the scan again. If the scan comes back the same, I would then try replacing the HDD.

Mine says everything is fine when I ran the test but it still says check cable even after I took out the hard drive and ssd. What should I do?

It says the HDD is good but to check cables? I have never seen that before. Usually it will tell you to check the cables if there is an issue, not if everything is ok ...

So I must press f12 before I turn it on?

No. Pressing a button when your computer is off will have no effect. You would press the power button and then start hitting the key for your BIOS or diagnostic test.

Is it physically damaged? Have you tried removing it and reinstalling to make sure it hasnt just come loose as seen here? ua-cam.com/video/v38xch9HKZI/v-deo.html

After diagnostics my screen goes black entirely and nothing shows up.
My battery (erratic charging)was giving me trouble so dell support videos online claimed that removing and reinserting battery may help. And that’s what an “expert” did. He also removed the ssd to check for damage as it was heating unusually (according to him) then put everything back to place. And I’ve been unable to move past the Dell logo while switching it on.
I’m using my 2017 bought Dell XPS 13 9360. Please help

Are you able to access BIOS and find any Repair or Restore options? Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?

@@PC_Monkey yes I was able to access the bios setting and did exactly what you showed in another video from 4 years ago (which led me to this one).
The ssd is just not getting detected randomly. Is there a way I can access it just once to get my stuff out?
No windows update, no spill, overheating yes a little, but the system never mentions it.
