@@pillemmadhusree1256 1. What was the result of the diagnostic scan? 2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
@@truckericksdashcam169 1. After a liquid spill, you want to first make sure the computer is 100% dry. You would turn your computer off immediately by pressing and holding the power button until the computer turns off. Then you would disassemble the computer as much as your comfortable with, at least trying to remove the bottom case. Then you would turn it on its side and let dry for a couple days. You may also have to clean it thoroughly at any liquid deposit points with a toothbrush and something like 70% isopropyl alcohol mixture. 2. Wow thank you buddy... I was very sad because I saw a hard drive error in my laptop, that was yesterday, today is Christmas, so I think I have the best Christmas gift lol, God bless you bro!! Merry Christmas. Thank you very much!!
Thanks so much! Turns out, I had put a new CMOS battery in my laptop, and forgot that I needed to reset the date and time. I also had apparently enabled RAID mode for the hard drive for whatever reason, so I turned that off, and now it’s detecting my hard drive! Thanks for helping! ☺️👍
@@PC_Monkey Hey! Thanks for responding. Unfortunately, now I have a different issue: Although the UEFI recognizes the drive, any OS installation USB that I try to use, whether that be Linux or Windows 11, doesn’t recognize the drive (this currently broken laptop IS Windows 11 compatible, I know this because I had an activated copy of Windows 11 on it for quite some time before it broke). On the Windows 11 installation USB, it says something like “Windows was unable to detect any hard drives. To install a driver so that Windows can be installed to it, select the ‘Load Driver’ option”. And in the Linux installation USB (the distro I’m trying to install is Linux Mint 21.2 with the MATE desktop environment), the drive (which should be labeled “sda”), does not appear. Instead, the install USB itself shows up, and THAT is labeled “sda” instead. No other drives are detected by the Linux installation USB. Is there a tutorial you could link me to, or a driver that needs to be installed during setup so that the OS can recognize the drive? For context, the machine I’m having trouble with is a Dell Inspiron 15 5570, with an Intel Core i3-8130U CPU that has Intel UHD 620 Integrated Graphics (this laptop does NOT have a Dedicated Graphics Card unfortunately), 4GB of DDR4 RAM, a CD/DVD compatible Optical drive, and a 128GB SATA SSD. Because my CPU is an 8th Generation one, all of the Intel Rapid Restore Technology and VMD drivers I’ve found through other people’s tutorials don’t work when trying to install Windows 11 and Linux Mint, since those drivers are only compatible with 11th generation through 13th generation Intel processors. Those drivers (as far as I can tell) are for if the SATA control mode is set to RAID in the UEFI, which I do not want to enable. I would like to keep my drive on AHCI mode. Are there drivers that are compatible with my CPU (Intel Core i3-8130U) and the AHCI storage drive mode that I can install during the setup process so that Windows 11 and/or Linux Mint can recognize my drive? I would also like to mention that I’ve tried these troubleshooting steps: 1) Swapping out my 128GB SATA SSD with a 1TB SATA HDD that I have (which still works), and trying to install Windows 11 on there. The result: the Windows 11 install USB still didn’t detect the 1TB SATA HDD. 2) Putting the aforementioned 1TB SATA HDD into my other laptop (which DOES work), installing Windows 11 onto that drive via the Windows 11 install USB, and then transferring the 1TB SATA HDD (that now has Windows 11 on it) BACK into the original laptop. The result: When I booted into the drive, Windows 11 gave me a Blue Screen error with the code “INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE”. 3) With the 128GB SATA SSD transferred back into the still-broken laptop, I attempted to clear the PTT’s info several times and reset the Secure Boot keys multiple times via the UEFI, and then tried to install Windows 11 to the 128GB SATA SSD. The result: Windows 11 STILL didn’t recognize the drive. I’ve completed a full diagnostic test on the laptop via the Dell Diagnostics tool, and there are no errors to be found. Again, I ask, is there a tutorial or website that can help me install Windows 11 on my 128 SATA SSD that’s currently in my still-broken laptop? I’d greatly appreciate some help. My apologies for this humongous comment.
@@PC_Monkey I actually meant those ones you mentioned that are going for 10 and 15 USD. 😁 By the way, I have gone ahead to switch from RAID to AHCI without any issue. I eventually reasoned that the BIOS stuff should be limited to BIOS. Your video really helped me with that, as I really considered some of the things mentioned. It made me to think that if for any reason the drive does not load, I could be able to simply switch back. I think I also heard something similar elsewhere. Thanks for pushing me to think and conquer my fear.

I would also like to mention that I’ve tried these troubleshooting steps:
1) Swapping out my 128GB SATA SSD with a 1TB SATA HDD that I have (which still works), and trying to install Windows 11 on there.
Bro you are a legend! The only video fix that actually worked for me
Thanks !! Glad this video was helpful :):)
after several videos, thank you sir! not sure why the time was changed.. but mate that did the trick.

10 or 15 bucks for an SSD or RAM? Sign me up! 😅
Thanks for the video. It was quite straightforward and simple to understand.
Thanks !! Glad this video was helpful :):)
@@PC_Monkey I'd like those SSDs though, if you've got them. 😀
@@ekeretteekpo3004 Yes, they are a nice upgrade from a HDD. Faster and break less often!
@@PC_Monkey I actually meant those ones you mentioned that are going for 10 and 15 USD. 😁
By the way, I have gone ahead to switch from RAID to AHCI without any issue. I eventually reasoned that the BIOS stuff should be limited to BIOS. Your video really helped me with that, as I really considered some of the things mentioned. It made me to think that if for any reason the drive does not load, I could be able to simply switch back. I think I also heard something similar elsewhere.
Thanks for pushing me to think and conquer my fear.

just saved my laptop. thank you. your orginal suggestions didnt work but disconnecting the ssd and restarting did. i then had to select safe boot as an option from the f2 menu but now im up and running.

Thank you so much! My screen didn't look exactly like yours, but this still led me enough to change from UEFI to legacy and my computer booted up! Never would have had a clue what to do otherwise.

@@PC_Monkey mine showing cannot enable legacy while ptt enabled...pls help me out
@@AnilKumar-nd5gc Assuming you have a Dell, disable PTT Security by going to the Security Tab, and selecting PTT Security. Uncheck the box. If you cannot locate the options to switch between or if switching does not work, then skip that step and continue with the rest of the video :) What was the result of the Diagnostic Scan?

Your explanation was literally perfect.. thank you. Although my computer still gave me a black screen with the (No Boot Device Found. Press Any Key to reboot the Machine) and when done so.. it goes back to the same black screen. Very frustrating.. but thank you, even when diagnostics has given me zero malfunctions and everything pass, I get this issue.
What was the result of the diagnostic scan?
Same here. No fix
@@nickofdubzx The diagnostic scan isnt a magic fix. Its a troubleshooting scan. It wont fix your computer lol. It tells us how to proceed with the troubleshooting. What was the result of your scan?
