Whoa, you made it all the way down here! Thank you ♥️ Love you
Could build one of these with an escape board type entrance for the bees to come back in. May work even better if the bees can figure it out
That seems like an easy build. Can't say I can see myself using one of them. Thanks for showing this David.
No problem 👍
Thx David. Very cool device.
Good video David, thanks for sharing these neat gizmo 👍
I’ll buy it for sure.
Thanks
Goodday sir. I can see the purpose if you have to move fast, for whatever reason . Then at least the hive and a lot
of foresters can be saved. But how long do you wait? Not easy to determine. Thanks for sharing, Cobus🐳
Hmmm what about cleansing flights?
Why did you use the large screen in front of the hive when you were removing the wrapping? Can you explain its purpose?
What size were the holes? (metric would be easiest for me but whatever you can deal with).
The bottom mesh,is it put in at an angle. If so I would think it is just to make it easier for the returning bees.

Thanks for sharing 👍
do you have a link to the Amazon moving screen please
Looks like a nice tool to have.
I think I'd just put my robbing screen on and call it a day. If I didn't have one and saw I was getting robbed I think I'd just use some screen a stick and some thumb tacks (once tacked remove the stick) Every beekeeper should always have a little hardware cloth available
I just don't think I would need this. Can't you simply move in the evening after dinner and foragers are long tucked in for the night? Block the entrance of course. I saw one go out the hole to the left when you first set it up. She figured it out quick.
Only if that is an option. Like if you get a 2 hour notice that someone is spraying, you can put this on and hold your bees in, don't have to wait till dard.
@@beek I understand. Thanks.
It will be good for moving bees a night
Oh how well I know about my workers telling me screw you in my new home I am going to my old home😂 I have 3 bee flight paths on this 80 acres. And you are guaranteed a swarm trap catch not once but twice. I move the swarms after midnight to the bee yard behind my house. An i transfer then into a deep box that same night an lock them in for 24 hours. Forcing the to do a reorientation flight. However?😮 for the next 2-3 nights I have to take a swans ice cream tub with the lid back with me an scrape them off the bottom of the plywood while sliding the lid on bring them back to the house dump them back in their hive. An usually?? By the third day?? The girls have learned this is no longer their home.. sure you will see 8-15 on day 5 but once they no longer show up? It’s safe to reinstall another trap. I am guaranteed six swarms on the home farm. BUT it comes with a price an that is you have to go retrieve the Forager’s for 2 to 3 days.. now on my traps over 3 miles away? I have never went back and seen any Forager’s hanging under the plywood. Hives support. So I understand well how (( the old bees ) are set in their way and do not like me moving their house 😂😂😂😂 🤷🏻♂️ An this old man can understand the bees thinking coz even I have my set pattern and do not accept change willingly 😂😂😂😂 Now some? Have said well just set another trap out for them to go into!! Hay great idea except I have seen the new hive at the house empty an? I will find the whole hive back where I took them from.😮 My problem with lockdown is you loose a hand full from ? Who knows frustration? Overheated? Or just depression who knows but if I don’t keep them in lockdown for 24 hours it’s hard to keep my close local traps in new boxes.. But?? I would love to try that.. when fields around me are sprayed thankfully I am contacted 24 hours before an I have bunches of mosquito netting that I toss over the hives to the ground. An they are allowed out of their hive, but not to go collect anything for at least 24 hours.
Don't you have it upside down?
