Don’t understand how people think jags are unreliable. Dad had an xj for 7 years and 60000 miles and was driven spiritedly and never put a foot wrong for that whole time
It's easy to say that a car reliable on the first 50k miles, non of the mains parts are put to test. And yes most Jaguar and land Rover are unreliable, I never owned one, but the customer reviews speaks for themselves
@@89imp03 bro mines comes in a lot of places, i guess because i live in a hot area in summer, kurdistan northern iraq, i bought it 55k in 2016 and now its value here is 20k, i guess im burning it 😄
I genuinely think the x351 bucks the trend of jaguars being unreliable. I’ve had my 2013 3l diesel one for 6 years now and hit 210000 miles without any issues. I’ve really only heard good things from other people who’ve had them too
I have a Jag 2014 XJ. I was driving about nearly 8000 miles in 6 weeks Going back to Iraq. To be honest we didn’t have any small issues. I don’t know why people scared to buy Jaguar?!!
Are you talking about the fuel pump? Definitely make sure you run injector cleaner because my injectors failed it was like 1800 bucks if I wanted to do OEM for two, and my car had 140 K.
The water pump always goes on these around 100,000 miles. It’s probably already been done, listen for the timing chain rattle. Make sure you do injector cleaner. Change the oil every 6000 miles. I personally have had 2 5.0s XF and XJ, no timing chain issues, but I did have the crossover pipe, or X pipe as it is known it cracked and it was about 3K mainly labor. Make sure the transmission fluid has been changed.
Seara faina

If you take good care they are usually good but still any luxury car will cost. I owned one and after 75,000 miles I sold it. It was starting to cost. Low mileage I had little problems only.
Yeah granted if you don't wanna deal with daft electric faults and gimmicky things going wrong don't get one because they're a fuck on to fix and expensive OEM parts or oe can be pricey too But I've just paid £1500 for a 2011 xf premium luxury with 110k on the V6 diesel and it's an absolutely beautiful drive It was a mate rate and I wouldn't of bought one otherwise but can't fault the vehicle for what it does , long motorway cruising and a nice smooth comfy drive

@@medialogistics9307I guess repair costs if it does go wrong are a bit high. Still worth it for me with how nice they are to drive
With the rotary shift knob, you can still turn it if it doesn’t pop up and it works just fine…..
On 5.0 V8 - Change the gas pumps after 100.000km without a second thought. There's serious danger of engine failure.
Thanks for sharing this tip! 🙏
What’s a good price parts and labor low end to high end ? Thanks

There’s an 2014 jaguar xj, 14k with 70k miles thoughts?
Bit expensive
I'm looking at the same models and price range. Weary of the kind of repairs he mentions on this video though. Im thinking twice about them now
i am looking at a 2012 jaguar xj with 120,711 miles for $6.5k. anything i can be looking to repair soon?
Make sure the timing belts have been replaced. You probably gonna need to replace bushes and arms if they haven’t been replaced

Hey, i want to ask if it's a bad decision to buy an 2011 jag xj with a 3.0 diesel with 275 hp and 260k kilometres,
Just be prepared to spend quite a bit of money on maintenance and worn out parts unless they are done before you purchase it
