    I got mine a few weeks ago, and it’s awesome! Very heavy, and versatile. I use it as a prowler sled too.
    I’m a big fan of strength shop. I really hope they break into the American market.

    As a French guy, I'm glad you make these reviews on Strength Shop because appart from Rogue, it's the only brand I could find that seems both qualitative and affordable.

    Hey Brandon, you are definitely right about Strengthshop being a good option for us Europeans.
    In your review, could you touch on how much weight the safeties can hold? And how reliable they are?
    Looking forward to all those review videos!

    So are you deadlifting without the platform anymore? If so, are you worried about concrete floors? I ask because I’m in between just horse stall mats or lifting platform. Thanks. Love the channel.

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  7 років тому +2

      AJ Villegas i put a piece of plywood and an extra layer of matting down. I just moved them for the sake of this video. If you watch my training log from this week (week 45) you’ll see what I mean!

    • @TheJackal159
      @TheJackal159 6 років тому +1

      AJ Villegas Just from my experience, I️ have a single layer of stall mats in my gym and have had no problems with the floors, and that’s after years of slamming 500+ onto it. The only time I’ve ever seen floor problems with stall mats is from consistently slamming like 800lbs with steel plates

    Wondering what equipment is out there that would be a good substitute for a prowler with limited space. Something I guess you could use in the basement during inclement weather and such. I figured with your knowledge about equipment thats out there, you may have a good idea.

      Jim Krajick Boy you have exact same problem as me. i have basement long about 9.30m (about 10 yards) and im a sprinter so I could benefit a lot from it

    • @joshjohnston7388
      @joshjohnston7388 7 років тому

      Here's what i did. You'll need some tools and a few other things.
      -One beat ass tire. Average truck tire (not a tractor) will do. Try a junkyard.
      -a piece of plywood
      -a bag of cement (i used 80 pound quickcrete)
      -a 2x4 about 12 inches long
      -2 stout eye bolts with washers and nuts
      -a shovel handle or similar STRONG stick of wood or iron pipe
      First, drill 2 holes near either end of the 2x4. Drill matching holes in the tread of the tire. Screw the eye bolts (eyes out) through the tread holes and matching holes in the 2x4. Place washers and affix the nuts so now you have 2 eyes 6-10 inches apart along the tread, reinforced by the 2x4 backing (inside the tread of the tire). This is where you affix the ropes. Tie the other ends to your shovel handle (or pipe). At this point, you already get it. You stand inside the ropes with the tire behind you and push against your bar/handle. But the whole thing is maybe 60 pounds! So now you cut your piece of plywood so that it fits completely over the hole. You may have to cut the corners to 45 degrees. Mix up your concrete and fill that bitch in. Boom. Now you have a tire with a sled apparatus attached, full of concrete. STILL not heavy enough? You beast! Stack plates on that fucker! Or have your mom sit in it while you pull!

      Can I ask what you're looking to accomplish? Conditioning?

    • @wilsonfisk6156
      @wilsonfisk6156 7 років тому

      Brandon Campbell Diamond Yes conditioning and also I need it for sprinting power

    • @bpt2g2o90
      @bpt2g2o90 7 років тому

      yes, i think prowler has some carry over to my lifts much more so then other conditioning exercises and i also find it much more enjoyable in general.

    any idea when you'll have the review on the titan rack finished?

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  7 років тому

      My goal is to have it done before Thanksgiving as they usually have a Black Friday sale. If you have any specific questions I can answer now, let me know.

    • @davidknight8298
      @davidknight8298 6 років тому

      Ok sweet, I've been thinking about getting a rogue rack for my basement but if I went with Titan instead I could get a larger rack and some accessories. From some older UA-cam videos it looks like the Titan racks have some sketchy welds and some deformed j hooks. Have you noticed any of those problems or any other real big issues with the rack in general? Should I just save up and go with rogue?

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  6 років тому

      David Knight the one they sent me is pretty nice for the price. They have gotten a lot better with their quality. It’s not on rogues level, but for more than half the cost I think it’s a smart buy if you’re on a budget. I would feel comfortable recommending the X series rack, although I would likely suggest the x6 over the x3 as I feel the 30” depth is superior.

    • @davidknight8298
      @davidknight8298 6 років тому

      cool thanks man. I'd probably wanna go with the 36" x3 and then get the 10" extension for plate storage, kinda like the setup they sent you. The money I would save by not going with rogue would allow me to buy one of those titan hefty fat pad knock offs and maybe a sumo deadlift bar from elitefts which is on sale right now too :) Do the monolifts line up well with the rest of the rack?

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  6 років тому

      David Knight they fit fine on this one, just not ideal for the 24” depth!

    Hey Brandon! I was wondering if I could ask for opinion on a power rack? There's a power rack on amazon called the Fitness Reality X class Light Commercial High Capacity Olympic Power Cage with the Lat attachment, and I was wondering what do you think of it just by looking at the description? I found one in very good condition for $300, and I'm considering replacing my old rack with that. Thanks!

    Brandon I've subbed you on my regular channel. I just made this one to keep me motivated with transforming my body. What camera do you suggest for recording videos? Thanks.

    • @JAWsFitness
      @JAWsFitness 7 років тому

      More Alpha if you have a smart phone with an external mic and good lighting, you can turn it horizontal for 1080p recording (most phones)
      Before I bought my camera that's what I did and honestly probably could've kept going with that method and saved a few hundred dollars.
      If you do go the phone route, like I said lighting and an external mic are extremely important.

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  7 років тому +1

      as mentioned I'd start with a cell phone first. Fancy equipment doesn't make a channel, the content does.
