7:20 there are actually many different brodit proclips you can purchase which will create a mounting point for any device, such as a phone or a tablet.
I'm currently eyeing one of these cars at my local dealer. If I get it, I will just use it as a commuter car. So it riding, "soft," wouldn't be a problem. But the brakes, yeah I will have to address that. Safety is the one thing I don't mess around with when it comes to cars. I hope the aftermarket has some good parts for this car for this and other things.
i have a v50 2.0D 2006 so i upgraded the turbo, camshaft to forged, pistons to forged, oil pump from 2.4D , break discs to 320mm, kayaba struts on suspention, coil springs kayaba dpf off egr off so i reched 250hp its so stable in corners,so powerfull, it realy loves the speed, so i dont know what u did to ur car but mein loves the corners ! i have a friend with s40 his car 2 loves the corners , so realy i dont know what u did2 ur car..... my car is with climatronic not simple ac, so i dont have problems with power....
I'm a firm believer that if you make that many changes to a car, you've bought the wrong car. Don't get me wrong, I know some people love to work on their cars endlessly, and thats cool too. But the C30 is a great car to do some minimal mods to and use as a daily driver. It has a sport hatch feel with a softer ride you could drive across state lines if it suits you. Volvos are designed to strike a balance of comfort, safety and performance. So turning it into a stiff racer will typically become an ongoing saga of new issues creeping up.
Yeah stock brakes suck. Common issue is with confusion around lugnut torque spec so a lot of people over torque and then the rotors warp way faster. 320mm is the way to go.
Did you put it up for sale recently? Pretty sure I saw it while shopping around. Thought it was vool to show up in my feed on an account unrelated to the tied to my phone.
It’s called yellow stuff but can’t remember who makes them. Got them from Amazon. They’ve got green for street use, yellow for more adventurous driving and red for racing/track use
I have owned the 09 C30 for 3 plus years. I am burning oil and get a big puff of blue smoke when driving at a steady speed and then making a slight acceleration. Anyone else have this issue? I have previously replaced the diaphragm in the oil breather box as preventative maintenance. Thanks
@@BitterCarGuy When I am due for my next oil change, I am thinking about pulling out the turbo unit and sending it to this company in California who can pressure test it for oil leaks and then rebuild it if needed. I am hoping that is the issue since it is a lot of work to pull the turbo and reinstall it since it is part of the exhaust manifold. Just curious if others have seen this puff of smoke issue after just a small acceleration when the exhaust is good and hot.

I think upgrading the brake lines to steel lines would help a lot with brake feel. Good luck with the purchase.
Thanks for the video...I have a 2008 also👍 agree with thoughts about brakes/ suspension 100 percent
Thanks so much. Just buy the steel brake lines from Elevate Cars and have someone install them for you.

They’re quieter on this car than Michelins
Hi, how did you remove the error code after installing the LEDs ? I have the same issue at the moment.
You can buy resistor modules on Amazon but they don’t seem to work for that long.
@@BitterCarGuy could you send the link for them if possible?
I guess you sold it since I see it for sale right now.

What pads are they ? What brand ? Thanks

Your turbo might be on its way out - how many miles??
@@BitterCarGuy about 62k miles. Bad maintenance before I bought it. Can the turbo go bad at this mileage?

@@edbrandt8972did you ever figure out what the issue was ?
@@Kaw226 not yet. I will replace my cracked oil pan this fall or next spring. Maybe oil return ports are clogged? For now I add oil as needed.
