DUDE! That blind is nicer than the house I lived in college. This simply sets the standard for a deer blind. I thought mine was nice but this is crazy (I got tired of hiding in the sticks and freezing my tush off). The only thing this needs is a.......uhmmm.......helicopter pad?
love it, people can say lazy or whatever they want but its nice to be able to enjoy your day when its raining or snowing and freezing cold. I have one like it and I would take it over a climbing stand any day.
Would like to offer a suggestion. You might want to consider Humphrey brand propane lights. They are known to be allot safer than kerosene. You do have a fire-extinguisher up there with you? Excellent carpentry skills seen throughout the camera tour. Thank you Sir, for sharing.
Very nice job! I built a stand by putting a camper up on top of telephone poles and building a deck around it. It has a furnace, electricity, closet, fridge, 3 beds, a kitchen table sink, closet, etc etc. One thing I did that you may want to do is make a retracting stair case. I built a stair case that is hinged, a pulley, and a remote controlled winch attached to it... A push of a button and the stairs come down. This way no one can acces it besides me. Once again nice job....
thats a good stand for spotting wardens as for shooting deer if you ask me its to high to shoot from anything 50 yards plus from the stand your shooting in to the tops of the tree's so if your planning to hit any deer 100 yards away good luck to yea
I know what you mean up here in nova scotia its usually between 0 and minus 10 during hunting season ..and if it rains its wicked ass cold ...so I def ..understand the comfort part...can't wait to use mine this season ....we are going a little overboard with it ,putting a old countertop propane stove i found and a 20 gallon drum of water on the roof and having gravity water to wash any dishes we have and have two car batteries being charged off a solar panel hooked to 12 volt camper bulbs.
Great job , funny how some people call comfort lazy. If you enjoy freezing to death to prove your manhood go ahead, when you get a little older and wiser you' ll build something like this.
That old man knows whats up. I got a nice rifle blind i built. But dang i started bow hunting. And in Texas you can't evwr guess the rut season much less the weather pattern. I gots to make something this season
we have the main floor with chairs and a card table and of course a cooler outside on the deck for beer...and then a top floor loft ubove us that sleeps 6..... anyway looks like you enjoy time away from the wife too....LOL
Now this is a blind. I dont think I would ever be able to hunt in it though. It's far too beautiful. I love the gun rack and shelves. May I ask how long it took you to build it? Even after hunting season you can go up and enjoy some relaxation time comfortably. This is the best blind ever built. Thanks for sharing with us
@IGO4MAKO1 I only bow hunt but I think I could whack one from your nice stand. I live in Iowa and got a few coyotes and a couple bobcats on my trail camera. Good Luck ! !
thanks, we are still in the process of building the roof and railings....and such but everything ive listed is the plan....the water situation..is cured by a 300 watt solar panel on the roof with a thermo wire hanging in the water barel sort of like the wires you put around pipes to keep them from freezing, and if you look at the trees there are 3 of them therefore creating a triangle, that only moves as one solid unit.plus we have flex braces under the structure it has already withstood 65mph
sorry to hear that about the BD and the nosy *ucking neighbors. too bad you weren't there to SSS when they trespassed...that being said: I really like what you did there, I envision something like that up on some property in the adirondacks....it gets so cold up there, it would be great to kick back with a few friends and 'hunt' deer out of a blind/stand such as yours. Like you said...you've been hunting the harder way up until now, why not relax a little here and there.
WTF? Deer stand? Thats a back woods 500k$ tree top condo... Central AC and heat, Keurig coffee pot, LazyBoy recliner, Shiatsu massager, stripper pole, Ramen noodles, hot cocoa, porn channel, Fry Daddy , popcorn maker, Hibachi grill, English tea pot, DirecTV, ATT cable, Pella windows, Hand scraped wood floors!!!!! Don't ever let anybody know where this is!!!! Give Dominos Pizza the address and nobody else! I know where I would watch the Super Bowl this year Awesome my friend, hope your kids and grand kids appreciate that work of art
I love your stand, i've actually been debating on build a stand similar to this just to get my dad back out and hunting with me, he's older and cant handle the cold like he used too. My main concern is price, can u tell me how much it cost for all this and how long it took to assemble?
I did but it didn't matter. My jealous neighbor was unhappy with it after trespassing for nearly 1/4 mile into my property and finding it. Next thing, the building dept informed me they had made a mistake giving me a verbal OK to erect it. so my newest video is "Cozy Hunting Stand Removal".
im currently in the process of building a 4by8 blind that can be taken apart in a few minutes and moved or just jack it up and put it on a trailer and then move it
Thanks very much but, no hunting for me this year. I'm from Long Beach, NY. We're still scraping up the pieces of town after Hurricane Sandy. Incredible devastation here, just unbelievable.
Thanks for the compliment and no, I didn't get anything more than some wildlife photos. As much as I love the stand, it looks like it has to go. My nosy neighbor keeps pressing the building dept. to have it removed as it violates some zoning law. I'll find out after zoning board meeting next month. Wish me luck!
@dreo0010 Sorry for the negative response. It's only that I recently received another letter from the building dept. I thought all was OK but, it seems I may soon have more headaches. Thought you could have been my lovely neighbor. It's still there, thanks
Great stand ! As we get older, we deserve to have better accomidations after all those years roughing it in the cold.
DUDE! That blind is nicer than the house I lived in college. This simply sets the standard for a deer blind. I thought mine was nice but this is crazy (I got tired of hiding in the sticks and freezing my tush off). The only thing this needs is a.......uhmmm.......helicopter pad?
Beautiful stand! I would sure enjoy hunting from that. And your safe up there to. Great job enjoy it.

my great grandpa 74 and still hunts from a lader stand
Build him a comfortable enclosure and maybe he'll leave you some money.
cody nelson it’s “ladder” not “lader”
This is a sweet set up, a bit more fancy than the one I am building but still similar. Can't wait for deer season.
thats a good stand for spotting wardens as for shooting deer if you ask me its to high to shoot from anything 50 yards plus from the stand your shooting in to the tops of the tree's so if your planning to hit any deer 100 yards away good luck to yea
Beer and a few sandwiches.... Little football and the deer would be safe. I would be sleeping.
Hope you guys have a great recovery and get back for next year!

thats a really cool stand the good thing is you can stay during the night if needed
Great job , funny how some people call comfort lazy. If you enjoy freezing to death to prove your manhood go ahead, when you get a little older and wiser you' ll build something like this.
Hunting stand? That's better then my house haha great job dude. You have amazing woodworking skills.
Amazing Good luck this year!
BEST STAND EVER!!!
You could just call it your little house not your tree stand
Wow ! I love it !
That old man knows whats up. I got a nice rifle blind i built. But dang i started bow hunting. And in Texas you can't evwr guess the rut season much less the weather pattern. I gots to make something this season
Wow you did really nice job on your stand. Sure beats a climber.
beautiful property
That railing though, it is too low. Just high enough to flip over if you back into it.
Wow. Just wow! Never seen anything like that.
we have the main floor with chairs and a card table and of course a cooler outside on the deck for beer...and then a top floor loft ubove us that sleeps 6..... anyway looks like you enjoy time away from the wife too....LOL
I would just stay at home if i had to hunt like that.
Amazing!
deer stand hell i would live there little fold up cot in the corner good to go awesome

thats a small house i love it good job
@IGO4MAKO1 I only bow hunt but I think I could whack one from your nice stand. I live in Iowa and got a few coyotes and a couple bobcats on my trail camera. Good Luck ! !
sounds like Westchester county. nice scenery
Are you for hire? That's a great stand!

Most comfortable blind I’ve seen yet on here. Great job! What are the dimensions?
AWESOME>>>

one thing you could do to make it better is get tinnted windows so the deer cant see inside
Now that's hunting in style. Lol.
I couldnt hunt like that. My grandfather, dad, and uncles have resorted to padded chairs with armrests and lap blankets. Thats about as far as we go.
Yes!!!!
wow, that nice.
wow, that nice. i would sell my house and live on that shack.
I would live there
What if you find your area to be lacking in your quarry?
I'd like to see you hunting from this
Sweet ! Is this in ny ?
im currently in the process of building a 4by8 blind that can be taken apart in a few minutes and moved or just jack it up and put it on a trailer and then move it
nice stand have you got any good deer out of it
how many deer can u possible get in that hunting box?
Does the butler field dress the deer for you? (wink)
looks like comfort ....have water?
That's not even a hunting blind... more like a man cave on stilts....
where you from is that blind you built in westchester
I couldn't hunt like that
The wife escaper machine 6000
Thanks but it's coming down real soon.
Just sell your house and live there
Y all that just to hunt a road
You sound like Mr.big from zootopia
This is a house
Its still cool. Have u ever killed there ?
MANCAVE!!!
it looks almost impossible to shoot out of this...... i would have dumped the porch because it looks like it gets in the way of shooting
you're dumb
Please ... Be a man and set up a tree stand like almost all the other TRUE hunters
Not hunting
Agreed
That isn't hunting, that's just shooting wildlife unfortunate enough to walk past.
Not really hunting.
are u jewish
The chair is a recliner. Fell asleep a few times already. Thanks again
Thanks very much but, no hunting for me this year.

You've got it right!
@newcrusade Many thanks. I wish I had more time to use it though. Next year I guess.
@JaschaThomas Thanks
@davettalashley Thanks
Hi Lisa I may have to remove the stand. Would you be interested in buying it?
@dreo0010
Very interesting question dreo. What would make you ask that at this time. I wonder what your name could be or maybe I already know!
