Watch his video on VicTrip Dion E-Trike it’s in my opinion better balanced although all trikes take time to get used to I have a pedal MOONCOOL (you assemble yourself takes 2 1/2 days) trike you can wipe out on because frame on all wavers in center and that causes the balance problem in ditches and driveways and gutters and manhole covers bucking bronco 😂

Hi, Can you give me an opinion on the sunny sf-B1001/s? I have seen your video about the SF-B 1002 but that bike is no longer worth 200 USD or it is no longer on sale. This one I'm talking about is worth 140 USD on Amazon with a discount right now, so I have doubts, I think it could be a toy and I'm not determined to buy it. I know it doesn't provide many metrics, and it's also due to friction, and the flywheel weighs 30lb. It doesn't seem bad but I would like to know your opinion, of course I have a low budget. I need to buy 10 bikes for a boutique gym, I don't need them to be very technological but I do need them to be resistant. Thanks in advance.
can you upgrade this by adding a second motor to the front of the electric tricycle so that both the rear two wheels and the front wheel is powered by electric motors and batteries.
You should ride the type of trike that rode towards you in the first half of video. As a trike rider you do feel the crown of the road. So you need to take the right half of the lane. I ride a rear whe. el motor tadpole trike. If you do get a chance to ride a tadpole trike. Make sure you secure your feet on the pedals. Catrike uses mid drive pedal assist. Mine is diy
I haven't seen a demo of folding this particular one but I've seen others where the front wheel actually tucks between the left rear wheel and frame. This one probably is the same.
I wish they would add a bench seat in the back for adults and kids. Without metal welding knowledge, I couldn't think of a way to mod a bench seat to it.
Open differentials don’t send power to the wheel with the least resistance. They always send exactly the same torque to both wheels. If one wheel is in the air, it barely takes any power to make it spin. So that is exactly the same amount of power the other wheel gets. Which is not enough to move the bike
The sad thing is while I don't know about this specific one, the Lectric XP Trike and some others are ADA compliant mobility devices but still not covered by insurance as such. I live on a mountain with lots of hills, no sidewalks and two lane roads, most with no shoulder. The closest place to get food is a Dollar General 2 1/2 miles away and the closest actual grocery store is around six miles away. Typical mobility scooters aren't up to the task but something like this would be perfect. Maybe some day.
Good thing being electric is keep seat as low as possible then you can go pretty fast around corners by kicking out, body out towards the turn Do it all the time. Farther hang out faster turn less steering.
I've seen people review e-trikes before and they look too unstable for me. You just showed how easily they tip, as did the other reviewers. I only feel safe on 2 wheels 😊 Looks more like a comfortable ride for extremely slow travel, maybe for the elderly.
I've been driving these trikes now 1.5 years.... very nice in town driving SLOW SLOW..... but VERY DANGEROUS over speeds of 10 miles/hour due to lack of steering control and lack of stability....
Perfect for the homeless to haul all their stuff around. Enjoyed the review. I'd like to see reviews of some of the budget commuter bikes sold on Amazon. Or maybe best bike under $750. Seems like there are several that could be respectable performers in that or close to that price range. Maybe, Just for fun, hopping up some of the bikes you have just for fun might be cool too. I wonder if just a high power controller would get a few MPG or something. Keep 'em coming.
can you pleaseeeeeeeeeeee do a range test on the recent aniioki aniioki a8 pro max? I saw you hit 40mph. If it can really hold 200 miles at 40mph.. that would be insane
It certainly can't hold 40 mph for 200 miles. Holding 40 mph requires ballpark 2000 watts of power depending on weight, rolling resistance, and wind resistance. The battery on that bike is like 3120 watt-hours. Looking at the math theoretically, If you hold 2000 Watts of power for 1.5 Hours the battery will be drained to empty (2000W * 1.5 Hours = 3000 watt hours). Assuming 2000 watts will keep the bike at 40 mph that would yield a range of 60 miles on one battery charge, which isn't bad. In order to hit 200 miles you would need to go significantly slower. I would guess you'd get closer to 100 miles realistically plus or minus 20% depending on many factors. Hope this helps.
Buying a Trike sight unseen online is a stressful. We are 100% dependent on reviews to test it out virtually. Husky tics all the boxes, 750 motor, 6 speed, aluminum alloy frame, 20" wheels with fat tires (for stability) and has a rear motor with rear wheel differential. Most of all, you made a point to express the smaller size of the trike and how it will fit easily though any apartment door. Up until now (12/22/24) I was going with the Mooncool TKPRO, but not now with its chain tensioner issue that causes chain slippage. Even you had that issue when u tested the TK PRO ( which is a total deal breaker). End of day - the performance is not tested until you take it on the 12% California Upgrade and how it performs throttle only when coming out of your garage!!! Thanks for your very thorough review. You are the man when it comes to ETrike reviews!!
It looks like a knockoff of the AddMotor Trike. Do some reviews on Utah Trikes reverse electric trikes and e-quads. You'll love going full throttle on those. Try out their dual rider e-quad with between 10-20 e-bike batteries, range of up to 500 to 1,000 miles on PAS level 1, payload capacity of 500 to 1,000 pounds! They ride lower to the ground so the issue of flipping their e-trikes on a tight turn might not be such a big deal.
Extremely useful review. The ultimate trike design is ua-cam.com/video/VVxO3SZmS5I/v-deo.html (Paul Elkins nomad camper) and it needs a commercial design that would let user build a camper frame out of say wood over it. Not just a sleeper touring vehicle, but also great solar powered cargo bike with recumbent aerodynamics. Your excellent review though shows what a terrible ride delta trikes are
Non-adjustable spring loaded suspension forks are useless because the springs are sized for obese 350 pound riders. You have one of the best reviews of this trike on UA-cam but it is still sadly lacking in technical information.
These trikes made in PRC are 💩. Not to be a ‘picky-puppy’, for safety reasons, trikes should be built with articulating rear suspension that allows at least 5 degree of lean, especially when riding at higher rates of speed, otherwise the rider risks unintended ejection from the saddle! (See Honda Gyro or Piagio MP3 scooters for example). Secondly, the open diff on these trikes is cheaply designed and cheaply made. The drive axle connecting and driving the wheel need to pinned or keyed (drift key), but instead utilize a a flat with set-screw design … which is rubbish design and will strip out under heavy load! (Ask me how I know)! Though, these trike are a great idea and offer comfort + utility, the build quality just isn’t there. If Rolf or Sachs make a posi-traction LSD with a pinned/keyed drive axle AND has an articulating suspension, then I’ll produce my hard-earned dollars for one!
1. Doesn't make ANY sense to put a front wheel suspension, your whole body is on your ass, not like in a normal bike where half of it is on your hands. 2. Doesn't make ANY sense to have wide and knobby tires at all since it can't do any offroading. 3. Doesn't make a lot of sense to have a separate battery if your lower frame is so spacious. Why not conceal it in the frame? WHY?!
I would like to pop for that trike, but not with an absolute dumb name like that. The people who build these bikes in China need to seriously research how the customers to whom they sell them to would accept the name.
Horrible Warranty, mine has Defective Frame where the Defect makes the Spokes rub on the rear wheels when they go around, Puckipuppy has sent me the wrong parts that took 6 months to get and now they want me to hire a bike shop to fix and they will reimburse me for my time and money so why not just send me a new Trike.
