I lived in Juneau for 6 months and absolutely fell in love with the place and its' welcoming people. I was living in nature- washing dishes while watching bald eagles perch on branches across from me, delighting in the amazing humpbacks getting close and personal, opening the front door in the AM to the howl of a wolf, riding home from work and the driver stops so we "locals" could enjoy the sight of a sow bear and her two cubs in a meadow...sea otter on a beach leisurely returning to the sea and cavorting as if for our amusement, enjoying the streams swollen with returning salmon, looking up and above me, three mountain goats, seeing and hearing tundra swans in a flight formation, beavers at work, orcas passing gracefully thru the inland channels....ETC. Of all the places I have worked around the world, this is the one I departed in tears and to which I would gladly return.
This is freaking awesome. I was just speaking to my husband about taking a trip to Juneau before we live Alaska next year and came across your video. This made us want to go even more . AND my husband loved the drone footage. He has one too so he is hype to get some footage as well..
This video makes me jealous of myself for living here!! So beautiful!! We sure live in an amazing town!! Thank you for putting that into this incredibly gorgeous video so I can share it with my friends overseas!
I've been going up to Echo Ranch as part of a work team for the past 5 years - I recognized those scenes instantly! I took my Phantom 3 up the past 2 years and got some decent footage (when the weather cooperated), but much of it is just sitting on my drive waiting to be edited. Great video!
Hey Evan, I would love to give you the footage if I had it. But unfortunately I dont think that was me :) I hiked the West Glacier Trail and just filmed the glacier primarily. I wanted to film the lake but there was no ice bergs floating around. Hopefully next time.
