30 years ago Bali was one of the most beautiful place I'd ever seen (I live in New Zealand so that's saying a lot). It's heartbreaking to see it used as a tip. Thank-you to the wonderful people restoring the beauty of the land and rivers. You are doing the angel's work.
As much as this cleans the look of Bali, sadly Indonesia is polluted to hell with fossil burning and gold extraction with mercury. It's sad to see as it's a tropical paradise drowning in pollution

When we´re going to Bali next year we want to visit this project and help cleaning up. I love their work and what they do to make the world a little bit less polluted.

We … each us as individuals… have the power to change things by how we consume. A shift always starts bit by bit, one person at a time until we realize each of us has been part of creating huge changes by way of the exponential curve action!
The issue with the trash issue in Indonesia is mostly the mentality of the people, but also the lack of recycling system& & infrastructure from the govt. sure some places have segregated bins for recycling, but that doesn’t matter if they will all end up in the same dump truck as one big pile of trash to chuck at the landfill. It’s all lip service, and our politicians are well-versed in the art of bullshit. Note that all the initiatives in the vid are led by westerners. The situation outside Bali is generally worse due to the lack of westerners.
Beverage companies transfered their responsibilities to their customers when they irresponsibly decided to sell their colddrinks in plastic bottles. We, the clients must now get rid of the plastic containers. It waspreviously sold in glass bottles and re- used after sterilization. All done by the company.
a noble goal reusing plastic and making it into something new i see a lot of companies doing that but it doesn't eliminate the problem you're still creating more stuff
You know what you should do! You should get some engineers or have a contest were the goal is to make a full sett of garden furnitures in the same style as the lounge chair. When you have a three seater , a two seater pluss a chair you make a manual for assembly than flatpack it like Ikea and start shipping it to other countries.❤ If these solutions you make for your company is 100% recycled materials you could make a big market providing pots, gardetools were you use the wood you find as handles.
A noble effort I'm sure, but it doesn't solve the problem with microplastics - which these recycled products will still release. We need to get rid of plastic permanently in most sectors and find different materials.
These countries need to have a government campaign against littering, Billboard's, commercials on ttv and radio, Religious leaders need to preach to their congregations, school's education needs to be involved. Bigger corporations. Need to help with educating and support. Without Support the problem will never get fixed.
Its the government fault. Nothing yo do with idiosyncratic. They need to educate and keep educating! People forget very quickly, so it has to be a constant reminder about the matter at school, in the telly, packaging, poster in shops, hospital, press, etc. Time also changes so the challenge can be different, but if you create the base for that it wont be a problem. The government needs to work on it!
If upstream people are using the river as their waste dump, which basically seems to be the case, shouldn't that problem be prioritized to be addressed first?
The first time I stayed in Candidasa in Bali, the water was so clean and clear. It was a scuba diving spot. The last time I went, the sea was full of trash. It was all around my legs as I walked along the edge. Ugh! I couldn't stand it!

So much respect for these people.
Beverage companies transfered their responsibilities to their customers when they irresponsibly decided to sell their colddrinks in plastic bottles. We, the clients must now get rid of the plastic containers. It waspreviously sold in glass bottles and re- used after sterilization. All done by the company.
Very inspiring! Made me think of the waste I produce and how I can cut it down if not eliminate it! ❤
THANK YOU, not only to the siblings but their inexhaustible Indonesian team members. WHOA.
a noble goal reusing plastic and making it into something new i see a lot of companies doing that but it doesn't eliminate the problem you're still creating more stuff
Respect this so much 👍
indonesia terkenal karena ini....
It’s a reality that concerns me greatly. I’m glad there are organized clean ups. 😊
Amazing work. Congratulations!!!
Such a beautiful place. But so much trash. Thanks for cleaning it up and working so hard everyday to do so.
Thank you! 🖤
Great video. Thank you for uploading
Enjoyed from Texas!
The first time I stayed in Candidasa in Bali, the water was so clean and clear. It was a scuba diving spot.
The last time I went, the sea was full of trash. It was all around my legs as I walked along the edge. Ugh! I couldn't stand it!
❤❤thank you for caring 🙏🏽
God bless this TEAM! I want to join this group
Thank you!
