You have just changed my life. :) I always wanted to learn to tap dance but never did. I am turning 69 and have pain issues and walk with a cane, but my pain doctor said go for it, with care. I bought some tap shoes and discovered your channel. I can't do everything because my body doesn't allow, but this is great exercise and fun! I am learning this song first because it looks fun and easy. I love your teaching style. My doctor also said learning steps like this helps with cognitive health. Thank you, Carrie.

Carrie you are so incredible. Everything you do ❤ You really do it all for us. It may not be easy to record in a mirror without showing the camera but you manage! The moves are funky fresh AND "BOUNCAYYYY" as they say! Even though they may not be super difficulticious 😂

I find these kind of easy ! I started in my room a week ago to, and starting with two or three more "basic" videos that only shows steps, I apply it with her coregraphy. Patience and rehearsing will give us our chance ;)

I just watched out of curiosity. I was a tap dancer for twenty (plus) years. This took me back to when I was a very little girl, learning the beginnings. The first song I did in front of an audience was Deep In The Heart of Texas. 😄
By the time I was 14, I was tapping across stages on mini-tours, twirling a baton while tapping.
When I was 19, I was becoming quite the novice choreographer, and my teacher loved the routine I developed for the Beatles song Glass Onion. 😄 It was time. Time to start on Broadway. Get my experience. Start my choreography career. Start with those chorus lines. Lol
Imagine my disappoinment upon finding out I was one inch too short to bé a Rockette. 😫 Their height requirements are 5'6" - 5'10.5". But...I'm sure you know that.
Stupid me only growing to 5'5". 😕
Unfortunately....that's when we also found out about my back problems. It was either keep dancing and end up in a wheelchair by my thirties...or give it up and put off the problems longer.
Sometimes.....I regret giving it up.
But I did make it to fifty before my spine needed surgery. So....there's that.
But.....I miss it. Always had some regret.
Sometimes I'm tempted to rent out a studio, just to see how much it would hurt....just to try. Just.... because....I'm a dancer. It's in my soul.
But now I'm old and ramble too much. Sorry about that.
But if you actually read all that...then may you have one hundred days of nothing but smiles. 😊

Oh my gosh! Not tap danced since I was 7. Am now 57 and just bought tap shoes lol. Love this routine, but would of been better with the song. Am inspired to get fit in a fun way. Hate the gyms etc, but love dancing..woohoo!

I’m just starting as a beginner. Love your videos! My feet are very sore. Is this normal or should I try a different shoe? I got a Bloch flex shoe from Amazon.
Hi, Kim! Sore feet can be normal, especially if you’re brand new to tap dancing and/or your shoes are new. I believe the Bloch Flex style has a split sole, so you’re probably using tiny muscles in your feet that are rarely used. That being said, if they continue to be sore beyond 3-5 tap lessons, it could be that a different style shoe would suit you better. Hope this helps! 💜
