@@Whispererinthenoise Sepultura's style is based mainly on Brazil's native culture, such culture and it's music predate the arrival of African slaves to the country. I'm not expecting anyone to know the history, I just expect people to at least know Sepultura is from Brazil not Africa and don't just act like it's all the same thing.
I'm stunned by the heavy grip with which you play the drums. I wish you all the success in the world on this tour with Sepultura Greyson. Welcome to Brazil 🤘🏻
He’s one of the nominees for Rock drummer of 2023 by Drumeo (winner to be announced at end of January). I know he is capable of playing any genre he wants, but I never really considered him a rock drummer per se. I think he only started gigging with ST this past year, and to me they are more Punk/Metal than Rock. Anyway, he does a great job (as one would expect), though I don’t think this style is particularly challenging for him or reflective of his talent.
Vai ser interessante ver o sepultura com tanta influência tribal/brasileira sendo conduzido por um baterista americano. Quarto batera mas é o primeiro fora do BR
Remember the days when ST was banned from LA because their shows were too rowdy? GN is the only one in the building with any energy. That crowd looks like a senior citizens convention
ofc... people these days are low IQ and are apart of socialist trends... don't expect them to be normal. Normal people don't go out because of 'those' people
Why do many metal drummers play with the snares off or barely touching? I’ve just noticed it a bit when watching these types of performances and am curious as to the reasoning.
@@soloevelynn I’m talking about the snare wires being off, not the snare drum not being used. And idk if you’re talking about this song having ghost notes, but yes I know what they are, no the wires don’t need to be on to play them, though Nekrutman doesn’t really play any here.
Grayson's ol teacher probably played in a state or national symphony orchestra. While its not his business at all what Greyson does with his skills, I'm sure it would bring a tear to his eyes watching & listening to this.😮😢
He should ask Roger daltrey about playing Keith Moon in the biography movie. If he can play this music enthusiastically he's already a good actor and could play the part. You should start working on a English accent.
😢 Sometimes one just has to pay the bills, let's hope that's the reason. I truly hope he doesn't like or appreciate such god awful music. But hey, skills are just that...skills. Some things u can teach, some things u can't. 🙏
Most drummers never play to 100%. The skill is there. The man is getting paid to play the drums, which is a lot more than many here (myself included) can say about themselves.
are you guys stupid?? i'm an studio engineer and musician for 20years and worked on a lot of serious music. a gig like this, grayson is playin, is incredible satisfying and fun to play. you really need someone explain' this?
@@PropagandasaurusRex my point exactly. I am a rock drummer. Will never dream to play at a fraction of the level he does (let alone get paid for playing the drums), so all the power to him.
Greyson mastered jazz drumming now he's gonna do it with metal/hardcore drumming
Someone stop this man before every great drummer in existance loses their confidence :D
And now... African grooves/metal in Sepultura? Greyson's really just going for all of the genres like they're infinity stones 🤣
Sepultura just announced he is going to play in the rest of the current tour

The tech filming everything is awesome!!! His joy by seen such phenomenom on drums is contagious.
Your a legend greyson, playing different styles with the same intensity and feel is really great, I respect your musicianship champion !!
A magnificent jazz drummer finally found himself in a punk-hardcore band and he looks to the noisy kind of energy in Life!! Great as always Greyson!!
Not with Sepultura

Welcome to the Sepulnation! ✊🤟
This zombie crowd is killing my vibe holy shit I’m getting old
i guess you read the comments on that drumeo video huh
killed it (as always)
Awesome!!!! Do you play with a "click track" or anything or just "straight up"? Thanks for posting!!!!

Sábado vamos vê esse peso da mão no DF. Sepultura 🤟🏼
Now he is playing in Sepultura!!!
mans doing side quests now
Love that ya dont js stick to jazz vids and show ya skill in other genres, especially with a punk band like Suicidal Tendencies
Are you now a permanent member of the band? How did you get the gig?

Good question, but this dude is not a metal drummer, he's more of a Jazz player, but I sure hope that ST keeps him, he's awesome

Lets see what happens with Sepultura
Bateria com 1 ton é muito pouco no metal. Muitos pratos num é legal. Metal é percussão
I don't get it. Why does Suicidal Tendencies get all the good drummers? Friggin Eric Moore, Thomas Pridgen, even Dave Lombardo, and now you?
Vai dar conta não oh
Será, mano?
Vê mais vídeos do cara, principalmente solos. Esse cara será show a parte no sepultura.
É pra isso que serve ensaio. O Sepultura não convocaria o cara se não conhecesse o talento e a capacidade dele
Noise not music but to each their own!
Ah yes like ''The Gerogerigegege - Senzuri Champion'', I really see the resemblance.

If his ol teacher has any idea of what it means to be a human and a musician, which he probably does, then I see no reason for tears at all.
